Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion (Rapid setting) at the rate of 0.20 kg per sq.m using emulsion pressure distributor, on the prepared bituminous/ granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom and Air compressor 250 cfm etc., as per Technical specification No.503 MORTH directed by Engineer-in-charge during execution.

Providing and laying Bituminous concrete of specified thickness by Hot mix plant 100-120 TPH capacity using bitumen of grade VG30, IRC size HBG crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler (Quarry Rubbish) conforming to Table 500-17 & Table 500-9, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a mechanical paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment rolling with smooth wheeled 8-10 tonne, vibratory 8-10 tonne and tandem 6-8 tonne rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per Specification vide Clause No.507 of MORTH (5th Revision) etc., complete in all respects and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge during execution - Grading - II 13.20 mm (Nominal Size) Layer thickness - 30 to 40 mm with bitumen binder @ 5.4% minimum by weight of total mix.

Note : 1. Although the rollers are required only for 3 hrs. as per norms of output, but the same have to be available at site for 6 hrs. as the Hot mix plant and paver will take six hours for mixing and paving the output of 450 tonnes considered in this analysis. To cater for the idle period of these roller there usage rates have been multiplied by a factor of 0.65.

2. Quantity of Bitumen has been taken for analysis purpose. The actual quantity will depend upon job mix formula.

3. Labour for traffic control, watch and ward and other miscellaneous duties at site including sundries have been included in administrative overheads of the contractor.

4. The individual density for each size of aggregates to be used for construction i.e., 37.5-25 mm, 25-10 mm etc., should be found in the laboratory and accordingly the quantities should be amended for use in field. The average density of 1.50 tonne/ cu.m is only a reference density in this Data Book.

5. The individual percentage of aggregates should be calculated from the total weight of dry aggregates i.e., excluding the weight of bitumen. The weight of filler will also be 2 per cent by weight of dry aggregates.

Providing and laying Dense graded bituminous macadam of specified compacted thickness using VG30 grade bitumen with Hot mix plant 100-120 TPH capacity using IRC size HBG crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler (Quarry Rubbish) conforming to Table 500-9 & 500-10, transporting the hot mix to work site laying with a Mechanical paver finisher, to the required grade level and alignment rolling with smooth wheeled 8-10 tonne, vibratory 8-10 tonne and tandem 6-8 tonne rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per specification vide clause No.505 of MORTH (5th Revision) etc., complete in all respects and as directed by Engineer-in-charge during execution - with Grading-II i.e., 26.50 mm (Nominal Size) Layer thickness - 50 to 75mm with bitumen binder at 4.5% minimum by weight of total mix

Providing and laying of Hot applied Thermoplastic Compound 2.50 mm thick including with Reflectorising Glass Beads @ 250 gms per Sqm area, thickness of 2.50 mm is exclusive of surface applied Glass Beads as per IRC:35, including cost and conveyance of material, labour charges, hire charges of machinery, for finished item of work. The material should be of BERGER make (as per MORTH 803). The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from steaks and holes as per specification 803 MORTH - On Bituminious surface

Earthwork excavation for foundations and depositing on bank for all lifts and with an initial lead of 10 m including all Operational, incidental, labour charges such as shoring, sheeting, planking, strutting etc., complete for finished item of work - Ordinary soil - Manual means up to 3 m depth.

Filling of foundations and basement with best river sand in layers of not more than 15 cms. thick each well watered to saturation and consolidated including cost and conveyance of all materials, incidental charges etc., complete.

Filling with useful available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, sides of foundations and basement with initial lead in layers not exceeding 15 cm thick, consolidating each deposited layer by watering and ramming including cost and conveyance of water to work site and all operational, incidental, labour charges, hire charges of T&P etc., complete for finished item of work.

Cement Concrete (1:4:8) using 40 mm (0.54 cu.m), 20 mm (0.27 cu.m) and 12 mm (0.09 cu.m) nominal size hard broken granite crushed metal from any source conforming to the relevant ISI standards for foundations etc., laid in layers of not more than 15 cms thick well compacted including curing, machine mixing, cost and conveyance of all materials etc., complete.

Providing and fixing precast concrete blocks (interlocking pavers) using not less than M40 grade paver blocks and thickness not less than 80 mm for medium traffic areas conforming to IS 15658-2006 of all shapes and designs as per the specification, over sand bed of 20 mm to 40 mm (30 mm average) thickness and compacting with vibrating plate compactor having 3 tonne compaction force there by forcing part of sand underneath to come up in between joints. Final compaction of paver surface to be done after spreading and brushing the fine sand into joints to its final level. The work includes cost of all materials such as interlocking pavers, sand etc., Labour and equipment such as cutting machine, lift, loading & unloading to work site clearing, bringing required all materials for the successful completion of work as per drawings and Technical Specification Clause 1504 MORD and as directed during execution by the Engineer-in- charge of the work.

Cement Concrete (1:3:6) using 20 mm (0.54 cu.m) and 12 mm (0.36 cu.m) nominal size hard broken granite crushed metal from any source conforming to the relevant ISI standards for foundations etc., laid in layers of not more than 15 cms thick well compacted including curing, machine mixing, cost and conveyance of all materials etc., complete.

Plastering in CM (1:5) 20 mm thickness using best river sand from approved quarry including cost and conveyance of all materials, screening, curing, rounding of corners, incidental charges as directed during execution complying with standard specification as directed during execution complete.

Painting with Ready mixed Synthetic Enamel paint in all shades Grade-I having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) content less than 50 grams/ litre approved colour and make including brushes to have an even shade including cost and conveyance of all materials as directed during execution complying with standard specifications etc., complete

- do - Two (2) coats for old wood work/ old plastered surface

- do - Two (2) coats for old iron work

Painting priming coat with ready mixed Cement primer (water thinnable) for exterior grade-2, for new plastered surface including cost and conveyance of all materials including brushes to have smooth finish as directed during execution.

Supply of 75 mm dia single socket PVC/ SWR Pipes (as per ISI standards) 6 kg/cm2 (Type-B) including labour charges for laying, fixing and commissioning of PVC Pipes including couplers/ bends/ tees etc., including fixing necessary fittings like bends, plugs, couplers, junctions, tees, etc., with solvent jointing as per standard practice.

Hire charges for centring and scaffolding for VCC Vertical walls of plane surface (rate is for both sides centring) including open drains of 600 mm size and above. Centering charges are for both faces and measurements shall be in Sqm for one face only and centering charges given are for two faces of centering.

Supply of fine agreegate/ sand (un screened) for concrete & filtering items of works including stacking the same to departmental gauge for pre-measurements, cost and conveyance of all materials as directed during execution.

Spreading gravel or sand including watering and rolling with hand roller irrespective of thickness in layer.

Supply of machinery in desilting works guide lines for engaging excavator - loader (JCB) (Capcity/ out put of machine 0.24/1 Cum). 1. The owner should transport the JCB to the work spot at his own costs. 2. The Excavator - Loaded (JCB) should be able to excavate a minimum of 40 cubic meter of Earth per hour. 3. The Excavator - Loader (JCB) should be able to load 20 tractor as per hour with quantum of 2.83 cubic metre of loose factor per each tractor. 4. The rate of per hour is inclusive of all the costs like POL, Transportation of Machine, Driver Batta and other incident charges. 5. The payment of the JCB should be paid hourly basis subject to the condition 2&3 cited above. 6. The Excavator - Loader (JCB) should have the Tacho metre and it should function properly.

Repair to pot holes by removal of spoiled/ damaged material, trimming the sides to vertical and levelling the bottom, cleaning the same with compressed air or any appropriate method filled with 75 mm BM, applying bitumen emulsion prime coat at the bottom and bitumen emulsion tack coat on sides and bottom as per technical specifications clauses 502 and 503 MORTH.

Hire charges for tractor including machinery & plant includes crew, oils, conveyance of machinery to site and all other incidental charges.

Demolishing and disposal of unserviceable materials within 100 metres lead for Unreinforced cement concrete up to 15 cm thickness.

Clearing light jungle/ Scrub jungle

Demolition including stacking of serviceable materials and disposal of unserviceable materials within 100 metres lead - For brick work

Cutting road surface including stacking of excavated materials for pipe line trench work - Cutting open BT Road surface (as well as asphalt concrete up to 75 mm thick) including water bound macadam.

Supplying and fixing in position MS Ornamental grills for windows and ventilators or for veranda openings using MS Flats, square rods, angles sheets etc., of approved design including necessary cuttings, bending fabrication, welding, grinding and finishing smooth including painting the grills with Two coats with Synthetic enamel paint Gr-I over a Primary coat (Red oxide metal primer) (total three coats) of approved make and colour including cost of making the holes into RCC or masonry works and making good the same wherever necessary, including cost and conveyance of all materials, incidental charges etc., complete.

Manufacture, supply and delivery of RCC Socket and spigot pipes conforming to B.I.S 458/ 2003 at (Rate per meter of effective length) including transportation, loading and unloading etc., complete. NP-2 class 300 mm dia

Conveyance charges for machinery for transporting earth/ sand/ gravel/ murrum etc. by trippers/ trucks, including loading, unloading and idle hire charges, with a lead of 2 Km from site, etc., complete, as directed during execution.

Supply of hot pressed compression moulded SMC Sign plates for making road signs as per the approved dimensions of National Highway Authority Of India, complete, for finished item of work.
