Comprehensive and preventive maintenance of DG set of capacity 160 KVA to ensure the generator's reliability, efficiency, and longevity of DG sets.The following key tasks typically to be performed during B & C check of DG set as per the running hours and OEM recommendation .Make of DG Set Ashok Leyland (Mukkunni Mala) /Kirloskar (340 TRU Muttathara ) a) Check and clean fuel injectors. b) Inspect and adjust valve clearances. c) Examine the turbocharger for wear or damage. d) Inspect and clean the air intake system. e) Check the cylinder head and piston rings for wear f) Change the fuel filter,bypass filter and oil filter g) Change the Air filter h) Change the water seperator j) Radiator cleaning with chemical k) Replace the coolent and engine oil l) Checking all electrical wiring and replace the unserviceable electromechanical switches,pressure gauges,indicators m) Checking the mechanical coupling between alternator shaft and prime mover to reduce the mechanical vibrations during hunting/start/stop of engine /Alternator n) Testing of emission system and minimise the obstruction by removing and cleaning , leakage arresting in exhaust pipe and Air Filter replacement if required

Note:- (a) Any emergency complaints of DG set which cause interruption for providing stand by supply to User shall be attended by the Contractor within 8 hours after receiving the complaint by telephonically/through writting from concerned JE E/M/AGE E/M. In case of any delay in attending the complaint more than 8 hrs after handing over of emergency / urgent work, the contractor shall be liable to pay the penalty as described in penalty caluse given here as under. If the nature of job is such that the work cannot be completed within period of 8 hrs then the facts shall be brought to the notice of the GE/Engr-in-Charge and the period for the working to the complaint shall be decided by the GE/EIC,

Note (Cond/-):The penalty shall be applicable to the contractor if the delay is noticed by the Engr-in-Charge more than eight hrs after handing over works of urgent nature to the contractor. if the delay is more than twelve hrs period and the GE is not satisfied with the reason for delay then penalty at the rate of Rs 500/- per job/day shall be deducted from the dues of the contractor. Please note that this penalty is exclusively other then the condition 56 of IAFW -2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract and shall be enforce above as and when delay in individual job isnoticed and no claim whatsoever on this account shall be entertained by the Deptt. The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regards shall be final and binding. (c) The contractor shall maintain a record of all urgent work at and if the work is repeated due to poor workmanship, he will be liable to repair the same without any extra expenditure to the Govt.
