CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR STRUCTURAL AUDIT OF 29 NOS OF OTM ACCOMMODATION BUILDINGS AT MILITARY STATION GANDHINAGAR

TESTING AND REPORTING Visual Observation: Detailed physical inspection of structural members for their condition as to the distress, deterioration, deformation, connection alternation and various damages and defects. It shall be carried out as a qualitive assessment in accordance with latest guidelines of society of structural Engineers. Visuals health inspection of buildings covering internal, external using light tapping hammer, marking in floor plan all the visible defects, deterioration and quantification. SIte visits, preparation and submission of detailed visual inspection and photography of buildings complete all specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (a) Crack mapping (Width, pattern, orientation). (b) Rust staining, spalling, exposed reinforcement. (c) Differential settlement. (d) Floor level variations. (e) Tilting / Rotation Signs. (f) Dampness, efflorescence, marine salt deposits.

ULTRASONIC PULSE VELOCITY TEST: Conduct this test to assess the integrity of the concrete.

REBOUND HAMMER TEST: Perform this test to evaluate the surface strength of the concrete.

HALF CELL POTENTIAL TEST: Use this test to determine the corrosion potential of the reinforced concrete section.

CORE TEST: Extraction of concrete core and carryout compressive strength test.

REPORT PREPARATION: Prepare a comprehensive report compiling the visual inspection findings, documenting observed distress, damage and leakage with supporting photographs and finding from the NDT test. The report shall include recommendations for necessary remedial and repair measures alongwith preparation of item-wise Bills of quantities. All reports must be vetted IIT/NIT/ Government Engineering College.
