Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting rank vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees girth up to 300 mm, removal of stumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, up to a lead of 1000 metres including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150 mm in thickness. Restoration of rain cuts with soil, moorum, gravel or a mixture of these, clearing the loose soil, benching for 300 mm width and extending continuously for a sufficient length and height of benches shall be in the range of 150- 300mm. Fresh material shall be deposited in layers not exceeding 250 mm and compacting with plate compactor or power rammers or by suitable implements handled manually to restore the original alignment, levels and slopes as per the requiremnt of MORT&H's specification 3002.

Construction of unlined surface drains of average cross sectional area 0.40 sqm in soil to specified lines, grades, levels and dimensions to the requirement of clause 301 and 309. Excavated material to be used in embankment within a lead of 50metres (average lead 25 metres) (Reference to MoRT&H's specification clause 309). Manual Means.
