Excavation in foundations, trenches etc.in all kind of soil in all leads and lifts such as pick work, jumper work in saturated/unsaturated soil including bailing out water, blasting work in hard/ soft rock or chiseling in hard/soft rock where blasting is prohibited in all lifts stacking the excavated earth not more than 3 mtrs clear from the edge of excavation and then returning the stacked soil in 15 cm layers when required into plinths sides of each deposited layer by ramming and watering and then disposing of all surplus excavated earth foundations etc., consolidating as directed within all leads and lifts and handing over the useable materials available from excavation to department free of cost to the entire staisfaction of Engineer-in-charge with in all leads and lifts

Laying, jointing (by way of circumfrential butt welded joints by electrical arc welding) and testing of Galvanized mild steel tubes (G.I. pipe) of following dia meters confirming to IS1239-2001(latest with upto date amendments) having wall thickness as specified below with bevelled/plain ends in a random length of 4 to 7 meters, including manufacturing reducers/tapers, all short pieces, bends etc. as per site requirements made from parent tubes. The laying of pipe will include all operation such as cutting, welding and jointing, fabrication of bends, tees, etc. including lowering and laying in excavated trenches to ensure required level including flushing, cleaning and hydraulic testing complete in all respects to the satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. The fabricated bends shall have three or four cuts having its radius not less than five times the dia of pipe. The damaged portion of the pipes and specials made from the parent tube during welding or otherwise shall be provided anticorrisive treatment by applying two coats of anticorrosive bituminous paints over a priming coat as per AWWA specifications C-203-1978. The welding electrods shall be as per IS 814 of Advani Oerlikon/L&T or ISI marked make. The rates also includes entire carriage of material, flushing, cleaning & hydraulic testing complete to the best satisfation & direction of Engineer in charge with in all leads and lifts(Earth work in trenches will be measured and paid for separately)

Laying, jointing and testing in trenhes (to be levelled grades) ISI marked steel tubes plain ended with flanged joint (Pipes already provided with flanges) of following dia as per IS:1239-2001, including jointing the pipes according to relenvant BIS standards/approved specifications including manufacturing reducers/tapers, all short pieces and bends as per site requirement and made from parent tubes (to be measured and paid alonngwith pipes). Bends shall be manufactured in such a way that not more than 11 1/4 degree deflection is caused by a single cut and internal dia is not reduced including hydraulic testing to the entire satisfation of Engineer in charge. The damaged portion of galvanization due to welding shall be provided with anticorrosive treatment by providing two coats of bituminous paint over priming coat as per WWA specification C-203-1978. (Earth work to be measured and paid for separatly)
