SCHEDULE 'A'

M&L for earth testing , identifying the earth pit and recording of test results in prescribed format all as directed by Engr in Charge. Resistance for each earth pit result to be submitted to Engr-in-Charge duly signed by user and MES rep

Chemical type Earth test less than 1 Ohm (multiple earth pits will considered as 1 earthing point)

Copper type Earth test less than 3 Ohm

Convetional type earthing test less than 3 Ohm

Note : (i) Every month earth pit resistance value will be tested and test report will be submitted by contractor to Engr-in-Charge. (ii) EP No should be mentioned on individual earth pits and ER value of installation etc all as specified and directed by Engr In Charge. (iii) Painting and marking of each Earth Pit will be done as directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iv)All equipments required for testing purpose will be arranged by contractor without any extra cost.

Supply and fixing GI strip 32 x 6mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc all as directed.

Supply and fixing Aluminium strip 25 x 3mm with saddles and fixing screws etc. for roof conductors and down conductors above ground as specified and directed by Engr-in- Charge.

Supply and fixing copper strip 25 x 3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc all as directed by Engr-in- Charge. .

S&F epoxy base insulators of suitable size 40mm height for fixing GI earth strip on wall /ceiling /floor /poles etc. as specified and directed by Engr-in- Charge.

Taking out and refixing only GI strip 32x6mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc drawn in conduit/GI pipe etc all as directed by Engr-in- Charge.

Taking out and refixing only GI strip 25x3mm thick as earthing lead fixed to wall/roofs etc drawn in conduit/GI pipe etc all as directed by Engr-in- Charge. .

S&F in Repair Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm, drilled and screwed including, 3 NOS, 8mm dia 25mm long hex, head screw as directed by Engr-in- Charge. .

S&F air termination single pointed aluminium rod of 12mm dia 300mm length fixed to GI strip 32x6mm/aluminium strip 25x3mm including nuts, bolts and washers complete all as specified and directed the Engr in charge.

M&L adding salty water into earthing pit to improve earth conduictivity (20Kg bags) common salt to be dissolved in water and pour the same through watering pipe of earth chamber to earth pit including checking of connection and making good the defective connections with necessary nuts, bolts washers replacing of defective pipe protection GI wire, PCC & earth work etc all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and laying charcoal dust to improve the ER value of existing earth pits as directed by Engr-in- Charge.

Supply and laying common salt to improve the ER value of existing earth pits as directed by Engr-in- Charge.

Supply and laying Magnesium sulphate in trenches to improve the ER value of existing earth pits as directed by Engr-in- Charge.

Supply and fixing PCC earth chamber 1:3:6 type C1 (using 20mm graded aggregate) , RCC1:2:4 cover slab with 6mm dia TMT bar ,100mm c/c,MS bar lifting hook including replacement of rusted watering pipe 20mm bore medium grade, UNSV GI funnel with wire mesh complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for Brazing /welding arrangement for existing copper / aluminium / iron strip of any size complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for replacing rusted nut and bolt brass type as per existing size complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

S&F earth pit cover made of heavy duty polyplastic and earth inspection cover made of high grade polypropylene of size top dia not less than 250mm, bottom dia not less than 330mm dia and height not less than 260mm having load bearing capacity not less than 8 tonnes for each electrode etc, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Make : Electrogrip model No EPC-11 of ISG Global or equivalent.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cmx60cmx6mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtrs deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtrs below normal ground level, connected to galvanised iron strip 32×6mm as earthing lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No 3 in SSR connected to earting test point all as specified or indiealed complete with excavation & earth work, PCC pit with 50mm thick RCC cover (grade M-15) having suitable handle (10mm MS Rod) 20mm dia GI medium grade watering pipe with GI funned with wire mesh 40mm bore GI pipe (light grade) for protection of earth lead conductor all as directed and testing on completion.

M&L for earthing complete with copper plate electrode 60cmx60cmx3.15mm thick, buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 mtrs deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 mtrs below normal ground level, connected to copper strip 20×3mm as earthing lead by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No 3 in SSR connected to earting test point all as specified or indiealed complete with excavation & earth work, PCC pit with 50mm thick RCC cover (grade M-15) having suitable handle (10mm MS Rod) 20mm dia GI medium grade watering pipe with GI funned with wire mesh 40mm bore GI pipe (light grade) forprotection of earth lead conductor all as directed and testing on completion.

Taking down unserviceable capacitor bank and S & F metalized poly propalene Type - S (MPP-S,) heavy duty, LT, 415/440 Volts 3 phase capacitor of capacity 5 KVAR and connecting up in the existing panel including checking of APFC panel for automatic functioning including checking of contacts, wiring, terminals etc and replacing the minor unserviceable parts for proper functioning complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge..

Taking down unserviceable capacitor bank and S & F metalized poly propalene Type - S (MPP-S,) heavy duty, LT, 415/440 Volts 3 phase capacitor of capacity 2 KVAR and connecting up in the existing panel including checking of APFC panel for automatic functioning including checking of contacts, wiring, terminals etc and replacing the minor unserviceable parts for proper functioning complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge..

Taking down unserviceable APFC relay and S & F Automatic Power factor Controller relay, for APFC Panel , 6 stage and testing for automatic operation, connecting up complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge..

Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing comprising of High tensile low carbon steel rod of 3 mtr length and 17.2 mm dia with 250 micron (average) molecularly bounded copper on the outer surface to confirm with requirements of UL 467 including suitable copper earth termination clamp alongwith back fill compound of 69 Kgs strictly be a carbon based conductive concrete type which has a fixed carbon content of more than 99 % and resistivity of less than 0.12 Ohm Mtr as per clause 14.5 D of IEEE, 80 standard, back fill compound should be electronically conductive (Like in metals) and should not depend on moisture for conduction, size of bore 150 mm dia, 12 feet depth, complete all as specified and directed. Make : JEF Eco safe earthing or equivalent, Make of chemical : JEF ECOSAFE

Note:-(i)Rate of backfill compound 23Kg of 3bags for each pit deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (ii) Manufacturers name will be embossed on the electrode supplied by Contractor and orginal purchase vouchers for same will be submitted (iii) The connection clamp shall be permanently welded to the copper rod to avoid any kind of connectivity loss. The pre welded copper bounded shall not need any additional clamp for termination. (iv)Duly calibrated earth resistance tester will be provided by the contractor.(v) Sign board of mild steel 3 mm thick duly painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide Zinc coat primer showing result of earthing should be fixed near the earth pit after completion as directed by Engr- in- Charge(vii) Installation, testing and commissioning of Earth pit shall be done in presence of rep of OEM.

M&L for auguring in hard dense rock to a depth of 3.5 mtr depth and diameter not less than 150 mm using mechanical auguring machine and complete removal of the rock all as specified and directed.

Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthling etc. 25x3mm copper strip Note: Warranty of the above work shall be Two year from date of completion.
