Operation, maintenance and required accessories for undertaking repairs to the Mechanical equipment available in Tirupati local temples Sri KRT, KT, Srinivasa Mangapuram Temple, Oriental College Hostel, SGS Arts College, S.V Arts College, SPW Junior College, SPW Degree College, SPW Polytechnic College, SV Music College, Balamnadir etc., Tirupati & local Temples for maintenance. Note:- The Firm /Contractor should engage as follows: 1) Skilled workers - 2 nos, 2) Semi-skilled workers - 6 nos & 3) Un-skilled worker - 1 no as directed during execution for Mechanical section above areas at Tirupati. The workmen shall be available at site for attending duty in 2 shifts and necessary weekly off arrangements are to be made by the contractor. The rate is excluding GST and labour component. The materials will be supplied by the contractor and the payment will be made as pera ctual quantity.
Supply of By Pass Valve 1/2" dia (Excluding GST)
1) All the above quoted rates are excluding GST.
2) At the time of concluding the agreement, the item of fixed wages towards engaging the work force under part-A will be incorporated. The said amount will be re-imbursed to the contractor along with part-B amount.
3) Initially , the contractor has to pay the wages to the work force and to produce the relevenat bank scrolls along with ESI & EPF paid vouchers to the department . TTD will only reimburse the amount after verification of the same to the Contractor with regard to Agreement conditions..
1) All the above quoted rates are excluding GST.

BOILERS SECTION
Operation and maintenance of following Thermax make steam Boilers, Water softners and hot water tanks with accessories like cold/hot water lines, Diesel/LPG lines, steam lines etc., available at various places., Tirupati including replacing of all spare parts. (The spares will be supplied by the department)
LIST OF MACHINERY PERTAINING TO BOILER SECTIONS
1) Steam Boilers: 200 Kg/hr

3) Steam lines to boiler / Hot water lines / Steam cooking vessels lines / Idly boxes lines Cold water lines to boiler Diesel lines for boiler Hot water lines

Operating conditions:
1) To operate the softeners to the operating conditions i.e., to maintain water hardness 0 to 2 ppm. If, hardness of feed water is more than 2 ppm, immediately regenerate the resin. 2) To operate the steam boilers to supply the steam without affecting the cooking system during all working hours duly in contact with the cooking staff. Daily to check up the PPM levels of the water, if necessary chemical will be supplied by the contractor for checking the PPM.
3) To supply steam to hot water generation and to supply the hot water as per the requirement duly in contact with the canteen staff. 4) To receive the diesel supplied by the Department into the barrels and to feed to the diesel tanks according to the requirement and to maintain diesel barrels.
5) To maintain diesel / LPG, water levels and different valves to the operating conditions. 6) Checking of the different valves daily. 7) Maintaining the inlet pressure according to the requirements. 8) To maintain daily log sheets showing particulars of running of the boilers and obtaining the signature from the concern user department. 9) To maintain the register for water hardness 10) To maintain the blow-down check & quantity of water circulation regularly and maintain the register. 11) To clean the boilers and its premises daily.
The Boiler operators should follow the Boiler operating Manuals as follows: (A) Before starting the boiler, should follow the below instructions: 1. Check water quality so as the hardness of water is within 2 ppm. Check the hardness of feed water after four hours of operation. If, hardness of feed water is more than 2ppm, immediately regenerate the resin. 2. Check that the soft water tanks and fuel oil service tanks are in full. 3. Open fuel oil inlet valve. 4. Put 'ON' electric main switch. 5. Close the main stop valve and open the by-pass vale.
6. Open the feed water inlet valve. 7. Check that the blow-down valve is fully closed. 8. Check and ensure that the temperature indicator-cum-controller setting is not altered. 9. Observe steam escaping to drain through the by-pass valve. 10. Now gradully open the main stop valve and close the by-pass valve. 11. To check the pressure, temperature, water levels by help of gauges. 12. Maintain LOG book of every boiler.
B) Before stopping the boiler, should follow the instructions: 1. Close the steam valve. The pressure switch/temperature controller will cut off the boiler. 2. Close the water inlet valve. 3. Open the blow-down valve and blow-down the boiler. 4. Open the economizer blow-down valve. 5. Now, close the blow-down valve and open the by-pass valve. 6. Fully open the water inlet valve. 7. Put the rotary switch 'ON' and start the feed water pump and circulate cold water till temparature comes down to 40 degree'C. 8. Close the water inlet valve and fuel oil inlet valve. 9. Fill the fuel oil service tank for nesx day's operation. 10. Put 'OFF' the electric main switch. 11. Clean the boiler, its top and surroundings for nay dripped oil etc., 12. To cut off fuel inlet valve and check up once again total unit.
II DAILY MAINTANANCE & SERVICING
A) The agency should carry out the following works: 1) Arresting leakages of steam lines, cold/hot water lines and diesel lines/ LPG lines etc., 2) Removing, cleaning & resetting of filters, strainers, burner rod assembly, economizer, water pump, diesel pump, optimizer, General check up of electrical item to ensure all safeties. 3) All the spares rewinding/replacement of motors, electrical spare parts (excluding steam boiler coils & Inner jackets) required should be replaced immediately without affecting the smooth running of the system. 4) If necessary, steam boiler coils & Inner jackets will be provided by the Departments. 5) All the spare parts whatsoever required should be of approved make & quality ehich are same to that as existence and as directed by the department. 6) Any welding works/lathe works should be attended immediately without hampering the smooth running of the systems.
B) The firm should also carry out monthly one time servicing for all the boilers. During servicing of the boilers, the followinf works shall be carried out i.e., cleaning of filters, strainers, burner rod assembly, economizer, optimizer, valves & all accesories, general check up of electrical items to ensure all safties and keeping the boilers in good working condition including replacing of soare parts if necessary like gland washers, oil seals, valve seat assembly, hydraulic hose, photo cell, belt, side glasses, ignition cable, packings, arresting leakages etc., complete. The firm would also carryout test to ensure that the unit performs at the rated efficiency levels, there by results in optimum fuel consumption.
C) The firm should carry out servicing for all the water softner once in every six months for re-charging of resin or as directed by the department. 1) To remove fronties pipe lines, distrubutors and resin. 2) To recharge the resin by soaking for -4 hours with " Resin charging compound (UC - 666 Uni Charge): to remove contamonation in the resin and to make the resin for more effective. 3) To top-up the resin of 15% to 20% with Thermax / Caton - 220 na+ after recharging of the process due to the loss of resin while doing the recharging. 4) To re-fix the frontier pipe lines, distributors and refill the resin. 5) The firm should ensure that the unit perfoms at the rated efficiency levels.
D) Descaling of the Boilers: The firm should carryout descaling whenever scale formation of the coil occurs with the following specification to ensure that the unit performance at the rated efficiency levels, there by results in optimum fuel consumption. 1) Temporary connections are to be given duly using a separate water pump. 2) Approved de-scaling compound should be used and de-scaling should be done till the scales are removed fully.
3) After de-scaling caustic soda / caustic potash solution is to be used to neutralize any acidic traces in the coil. The necessary chemicals are supplied by the contractor. 4) Finally the temporary connections are to be disconnected and the boilers is to be connected to the permanent piping, tanks and the boilers should be recommissioned to work at the rated efficiency levels. 5) a) The contractor/ firm should invarible do the descaling of the boilers at regular intervals to maintain the boilers in good condition the record in this regard should be maintained properly. b) The contractor/ firm should procure the required pumpsets and other required materials for the process of descaling and should be kept in the site. c) During the descaling process of the one boier the other boiler should be maintain in good working condition and kept in operation to supply the steam to the user department without any interruption.
E) Blow down time should be always less than 30 seconds. IF found it is more than 30 seconds a fine of Rs.1,000/- will be levied in addition to the penalty clause. The daily blow down record should be maintained properly.
F) The firm should carry out overhauling of steam boilers as per necessity including repairing / replacement of coil with the following specification. (If necessary, steam boiler coils & inner jackets will be provided by the Department) During the overhauling of the boiler, the firm should dismantle the unit, take out the coiul unit, cleaning of coil (externally) / changing of coil (if necessary, new steam coils / inner jackets will be supplied by the department), casting of bottom refractory and top if necessary, changing of gaskets & other accessories, welding, repairing work including labou, checking of electrical items, restoring and checking the performance of the unit. The firm would also carry out test to ensure that the unit performs at the rated efficiency levels, there by attaining optimum fuel consumption etc., complete as directed during execution.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR BOILERS:
1) The firm should ensure that the unit performs at the rated efficiency levels to attain optimum fuel consumption. 2) Any steam/hot water leakages should be attended immediately, failing which suitable fine will be imposed for the energy losses. 3) Any break down of the boiler systems/water softners/hot water, systems, should be rectified within 24 hours. Failure in this regard, leads to imposing of stringent fines. 4) For any mis-handling/negligence in operation of machinery suitable fine will be imposed duly recovering the losses caused to machinery. 5) For authorized operating personnel should invariably present at the boilers round the clock. 6) No person should work more than 8 hours in a day at any where. 7) At the end of the contract the contractor must do the servicing of the equipment and to handling over the equipments to the department at TACT & Good condition.
8) The machinery log should be maintained and record the working times & breakdown periods of each and every machine at each section and should be presented for inspection of the Department. 9) The personnel engaged should be experienced and of sound health. The agency should be always in contact with the Engineer-in-charge regarding running of the machinery. The firm should maintain all the records and to produce the same as directed by the Department.
Note:- The rate is inclusive of ESI and EPF and exclusive of GST
Steam cooking Vessels
Daily Operation (The spares will be supplied by department)
The steam cooking vessels shall be run by the user department
Servicing and Comprehensive maintenance
1) Steam pipe line checking and leakage arresting maintenance.
2) Steam pipe line connecting flange Gasket & Bolt, Nut replacement
3) Steam control valves like Ball Valves, Steam traps and safety valves checking and replacement.
4) Steam pressure gauges and steam flexible pipes checking and replacement.
5) Steam vessel inlet & outlet Teflon washers, Teflon rope and Asbestos rope checking and replacement.
6) Steam vessel Tilting Gear box. U clamps checking and servicing and bearings replacement.
7) The welding/lathe works are to be attended whenever necessary.
The trolleys shall be used by the user department.
Servicing and Comprehensive maintenance
Removing of old damaged castor wheels from the trolleys
Removing of damaged s.s. support channels/plates and rewelding with new one
Welding inside, out side of the trolley body and trolley handle
Refixing of APEX make C-250 Model castor wheels to the trolleys
Grease applying to the wheels by grease gun.
Cleaning of trolley completely and keep neat and tidy
The Gas stoves shall be used by the user department
Servicing and Comprehensive maintenance
Daily checking and replacement of N.C valves, copper pig tails, gas flexible and burners and replace of spares whenever required.
The welding works are to be attended whenever necessary by the contractor
Wet Grinders /Tilting Grinders
The Wet grinders/Tilting grinders shall be used by the user department
Servicing and Comprehensive maintenance
Checking, Cleaning and servicing of 'V' Belts, Motors, Gear box, Drum seating top & bottom stones, Arm sets, Gear wheels, motor pulleys and other accessories.
Checking power control & the starters.
Oiling and greasing for gear boxes & motor bearing.
