Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sqm and n exc 50mm deep complete all as specified and directed.

Applying evenly a prime coat of cationic bitumen Emulsion (SS-1) conforming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.7-1 kg/sqm on surface of WMM/WBM as specified in Table 500-3 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Note : Rates shall include for applying sample primed surface by using 0.7-1 kgs of emulsion in stretch of 1.00 Sqm of proposed/prepared road surfaces.

Material and Labour for Premix bituminious macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using paving bitumen (VG 30) as binder and graded stone aggregates of 20 to 12.5mm size complete all as specified and directed. Note : (a) Binder content shall be 4% of weigth aggregate. (b) Rate shall include Bitumen Extraction Test as per reqd interval.

Preparing blacktop or existing bituminous surfaces by brushing with the wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. Note : (a) Surface shall be cleaned and approved by Engr-in-Charge before applying priming coat of bitumen. (b) Rates shall include applying Mechanical air compressor to remove dust and sweeping residual.

Applying evenly a tack coat of Cationic Bitumen Enulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS:8887 at a rate of application of 0.3 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of Morth specification for road and bridge work 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surface as specified and directed. Note : Rates shall include for applying sample primed surface by using 0.3 kgs of emulsion in stretch of 1.00 Sqm of proposed/prepared road surfaces.

Material and labour for laying 40 mm (consolidated thickness) Bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to requried camber and gradient complete. Note : (a) Rate shall include cost of design mix to be obtained from approved lab. (b) Rate quoted shall include cost of bitumen extraction test of mix at reqd/specified interval (c) SDAC shall be laid on the same day over frequently laying BM surface.

M&L for 25mm thick bitumen mastic road consisting of an intimate homogenous mixture of mineral filler,well graded fine and course aggregate with VG-40 grade bitumen in the range of 14 to 17 percenatage of total mix as per IS :73:2006 or suitable grade confirming to IS : 702 1988 , mixed and cooked at 170 C to 210 C in an approved type mechaniaclly agitated mastic cooker,laid in temp between 175 C to 210 C spread uniformily by hand using wooden trowel and floats laid over tack coat of VG 40 grade bitumen confirming to IS : 73:2006 @ 5 Kg /10Sqm over prepared base all as per para 20.A .30 of SSR part-I 2009 and IRC : 107-1992. During mixing and cooking,care shall be taken to ensure that contents in the cooker are at no time heated to a temparature excedding 210 C bitumen mastic after spreading and while still hot and in plastic condition shall be spread over with bitumen precoated fine grained hard stonechips/coarse aggregates of approved quality of 2.36mm to 13.2mm size,fine aggregate 0.075mm to 2.36mm size and filler shall be limestone powder content of not less than 80 percentage by weight determined in accordence with IS: 1514 and pressed into the surface when the temperature of bitumen mastic in between 80 C and 100 C such precoated aggregates when laid should protrude 3mm to 4mm over the mastic surface of approved quality of 9.5mm to 13.20mm size @0.005m /10Sqm and rolled all as specified and directed.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming including (supply of road metal) but making good by applying tack coat @ 5 kg per 10 sq m, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed .

Material and labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.50mm thick centre lines,stop lines dashes arrows and letter writing etc and on roads pavements with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint mixed with radium glass beads @250gms per sqm white/yellow/Red of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing for cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No DA 972.0 fixed with and including MS Stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed.
