General note applicable to all sections : 1) Only sieved river sand confirming to Zone-II from Godavari river or Varaha river or Vamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metal of 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision) 2) The make/model/brand for all the BOQ items shall be as per suggestive makes of Annexure-B of Section-VII of the tender document. These makes are merely for guidance and bidders can prefer any other make which is meeting technical specifications given under Section-V and Schedule of Quantities of Tender document and shall confirm to the relevant BIS codes and other relevant codes. However, the bidder may suggest any equivelent make/ model/brand meeting technical parameters on or before pre-bid conference for approval of BARC(V). 3) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers of approved makes as per annexure B of section VII) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 4) The contractor shall set up automatic batching plant/sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete.
5) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area. 6) Manufacturer's Test certificate of cement which is procured from dealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor. 7) "Substrcture" refers to the part of structure upto top level of ground floor grade slab and "Superstructure"refers to the part of structure above the top of the ground floor grade slab.
Filling of areas with available excavated soil/soft rock in and around foundations, under basement floors, in plinths, usb grade formation and around building etc., including loading, transporting with a lead upto 1000m, unloading, removal of organic matter/roots/plastic/ all kinds of vegetation/small shrubs, etc., breaking of lumps and spreading in layers maximum compacted thickness of 250mm thick with suitable Earth rammers/vibro roller to achieve a minimum of 90% proctor density at optimum moisture content with all lifts, bailing/ pumping out of water to keep the site dry while backfilling, etc. complete all as per drawings and Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes: 1. All necessary tests shall be conducted as per QAP and rate quoted shall include all tests. 2. The rates in respect of applicable for the net quantities arrived as per the actual difference in levels jointly taken by the department and the contractor after compaction of the earth as mentioned in the item description.
Supplying and injecting with approved quality chemical emulsion (Imidacloprid) at the rates and concentrations as per IS 6313 Part II for preconstructional anti termite treatment and creating a chemical barrier under and around the foundations, masonry pits, masonry foundations, wall trenches, plinth filling, junctions of wall and floor, expansion joints, surfaces of RCC works for a depth of min. 500mm from the finished ground level, surrounding pipes, conduits etc., walls retaining soil above floor level, apron and drain along the perimeter of the building including all associated works complete as per specification / IS 6313 and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (only ground floor plinth area of the building will be measured for the payment in the following three stages). a) 20% after completion of the foundations/plinth beam. b) 50% after completion of the ground floor flooring. c) 30% after completion of all treatment works including ground floor doors & windows and around the building. Work to be executed by approved agency and specified guarantee for 10 (Ten) years shall be furnished by the tenderer. Payment will be cleared only after submission of Guarantee. Note: The payment part of (a) will be made only for the areas, which were not treated previsouly.
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:3:6 (1 cement, 3 river Coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand, 6 graded stone aggregate of maximum size 20 mm) at all elevations including for roads. Cost includes consolidation, finishing curing etc. complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding the cost of form work shuttering, centering all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying in position cement concrete of 1:2:4 (1 cement, 2 Coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand, 4 graded stone aggregate of nominal size 20 mm) at all elevations including consolidation, finishing curing etc. complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding the cost of formwork shuttering, centering all as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying design mix reinforced cement concrete of M30 Grade by weigh batching using graded stone aggregate of 20mm max. size and coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved quality, including handling & transportation, scaffolding, mechanical mixing, placing to required location by hoisting and / or pumping & mechanical vibration, consolidation, finishing, curing, hacking of concrete surfaces wherever required etc. complete at all levels in substructure/superstructure, roads, etc as per specifications & also including dewatering, if any, complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding formwork, shuttering and steel reinforcement. Note: The minimum cement content shall be 390kg/Cum of concrete. However, actual cement content required shall be based on design mix requirements carried out at BARC approved (NABL accredited) laboratory. In case the cement quantity consumed more than the specified above, the cost towards extra cement will not be paid.

Providing and laying design mix reinforced cement concrete of M30 Grade by weigh batching using graded stone aggregate of 20mm max. size and coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved Brand and quality, including handling & transportation, scaffolding, mechanical mixing, placing to required location by hoisting and / or pumping & mechanical vibration, consolidation, finishing, curing, hacking of concrete surfaces wherever required for thinner RCC structural elements etc. complete at all levels in substructure/superstructure, roads, etc as per specifications & also including dewatering, if any, complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding formwork, shuttering and steel reinforcement. Note: 1) The minimum cement content shall be 400 Kgs per cubic metre of concrete and with water cement ratio including the water contained in the aggregates not exceeding 0.40. However, actual cement content required shall be based on design mix requirements carried out at BARC approved (NABL accredited) laboratory. In case the cement quantity consumed more than the specified above, the cost towards extra cement will not be paid. 2) Slump shall be in the range of 150mm to 180mm
General Notes for centering, shuttering & Form work: 1) This item is applicable for all PCC and RCC structural elements like footings, beams, columns, slabs, lintels, chajjas, walls,roads etc., for all heights and leads. 2) Only steel scaffolding, staging, supporting system to the formwork and steel frame work will have to be used for all RCC structural elements. 3) All surfaces adjacent to EPs, etc., shall be in true line and level & irregularities, if any, shall be rounded by mechanical grinding, chiseling, finishing the same using epoxy silica sand mortar at no extra payment. 4) The design and drawings of formwork shall be submitted alongwith calculations for approval before commencement of work. 5) Form finish F3 shall be provided to all exposed surfaces of the concrete. 6) Wall ties passing through the walls will not be allowed.

Providing centering and shuttering for RCC walls, columns & beams connecting to walls and all wall connecting members & Inverted beams using good quality densified film-faced Plywood so as to produce neat form finished concrete surfaces for all lelvels, with steel staging system formwork will have to be used for all structural elements, including strutting and propping etc. at all levels / heights including clear storey heights and removal of the same and including sealing the form joints suitably to avoid fins and abrupt irregularities, etc.complete all as per drawings and specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and fixing in position DURABOARD HD-100 Joint Filler board in expansion joints to the required size and shape, placing and keeping in position complete all as per drawings, technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.The payment for higher width of expansion joint shall be made as multiples of respective board thickness.

General Notes for Reinforcement steel: 1) 1.2mm dia annealed GI coated binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own cost and will not be measured for payment. 2) Fe-500D / Fe-500EQR bars as per IS to be supplied by the contractor 3) Reinforcement bars from conversion agents / re-rollers of above manufacturers, will not be accepted. 4) No extra payment will be made on account of Rolling Margin & wastage. 5) Contractor shall supply copy of the documentry evidence of purchase of steel, test certificate from these manufacturers and also test from third party to be carried out at no extra cost.
Providing Reinforcement steel of all diameters for reinforced cement concrete at all levels including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, transporting to all elevations, placing and keeping in positions, all leads, fixing, tieing with 1.2 mm dia annealed GI coated binding wire including all labour charges, cost of cover blocks (in same grade of concrete) of various thicknesses and sizes etc. all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Using TMT Bars of Specified Grades of all sizes. TMT bars to be supplied by the contractor of grade - Fe 500D / Fe-500EQR.

General Notes for Structural steel : 1) Structural steel required for the work shall not be supplied by the Department. 2) Structural steel confirming to IS 2062 shall be supplied from their own plants rolled from virgin materials to be procured directly or from their authorised dealers and test cerificate to be produced. 3) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. 4) Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the item rates (total weight including welding, nuts, bolts etc., of Embedded part/structure eliment shall be measured for payment). 5) Holes to be drilled only by Drilling machines and gas cutting of holes are not permitted. 6) Rate inclusive of all consumables like gas, welding electrodes and tools and tackles etc. 7) The Liquid Penetrant Inspection shall be carried out in 1% of the total joints and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge without any extra cost. 8) Also Refer Mechanical specifications for the MS items & SS items
Supply, fabrication, and fixing in position the MS embedded parts (weighing not more than 100 Kgs) in RCC/ Masonry/ Form work at all heights. Cost includung transporting, aligning, fixing in position, etc. complete all as per drawings and Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. All necessary test reports are to be provided along with the supply of the materials.
Supply, fabrication, and fixing in position the MS embedded parts (weighing more than 100 Kgs but weighing upto 1000 Kgs.) in RCC/ Masonry/ Form work at all heights. Cost includung transporting, aligning, fixing in position, etc. complete all as per drawings and Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. All necessary test reports are to be provided along with the supply of the materials.
Providing and fixing Mechanical Splicings using threaded coupler of all types to the reinforcement bars of specified dia and grade using high yield strength standard couplers of specially produced steel to join ribbed bearing bars machine cut end to end. Cost to include necessary supply of threaded couplers of various diameters, transportation, coupling at site by mechanical means, erection at site, testing of random samples, testing at site, protection of threaded ends using PVC covers, threading of rebars etc. complete. Cost to include necessary testing of joints (0.5% of the total joints) at site for tensile strength and as required by Enginner-in-charge. Cost quoted shall include all materials and labour.

Providing and applying white cement primer to the ceilings, walls and other surfaces to give an even shade over new work (3 coats) including scaffolding, curing etc., complete as per technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: All external/internal painting works will have to be done with erecting double tubular steel scaffolding only. All rates quoted in the above painting items shall include erection of double tubular scafolding and provision of safety measures like safety belts, eye protection gears, etc.
Providing and applying 20mm thick waterproofing plastering to the concrete and masonry surfaces, with cement mortar of ratio cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 screened river sand) mixed uniformly by machine with polypropylene fibres and mixing of water proof compound as per recommendations of the manufacturer or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, including raking out joints, hacking concrete surfaces and applying with approved chemical bonding agent, preparing junctions of concrete / masonry by neat cleaning, grouting with non-shrink mortar etc., at all heights and depths, leads and lifts, curing, etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. cost including conduting the water tightness test by filling and storing the water for 72 hours.
a) System shall consist of preparation of surfaces including ‘V’ grooves at junctions and joints, pressure grouting the same and curing. b) Applying cement slurry admixed with bonding agent recommended by manufacturer and allowed to cure. c) Walls plastering and finished smooth with about 20 mm thick with cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 screened river sand) using recommended proportion of waterproofing compound and polypropylene fibers. d) Making required wattas, rounding of corners; with 1:4 (1 cement : 4 screened river sand) admixed with waterproofing compound of recommended proportion and making junctions with walls and floor finished smooth, including and cured. e) Storage Tank shall be tested by filling the water and maintaining it for 72 hrs. to check leakages. f) Contractor shall provide 10 year guarantee for waterproofing on approved proforma.
Providing and applying 12mm thick waterproofing plastering to the concrete and steel, with cement mortar of ratio cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 screened river sand) mixed uniformly by machine and mixing of water proof compound as per recommendations of the manufacturer or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, including raking out joints, applying with chemical bonding agent, preparing junctions of concrete and MS Grid work by grouting with non-shrink grout, chicken mesh etc., to walls and floor of sumps and pits.
Dismantling Plain Cement concrete manually / by mechanical means carefully without damaging adjacent structures including disposal of debris within 200 m lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Dismantling of RCC works carefully without damaging reinforcement steel and adjacent structures after cutting grooves to the portion to be dismantled, cost includes cutting grooves, cutting of steel reinforcement bars if required and disposal of unserviceable materials within 200 m lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing G.I.
