Vessel with FRP lIinimg, Butterfly valves with complete base media and shall be
complete with face piping ,fittings valves filter meda, under bed plate fitted with
strainer pressure gauges cocks.manhole handhole airvent system manufactured with
good engineering, practice having minimum thickness of 5mm with manhole and
cover for easy inspection and an opening provision for media removing arrangement
at bottom side with dummy arrangement and painting the vessel with epoxy paint two
coats over two coat of primer finishing with synthetic enamel paint capable of
discharging water at 10,000 LPH with a capacity to withstand the operating head of
80m with best quality ISI MARKED Butterflyvalves for easy backwashing rinsing
and filtering with all necessary high quality filter media with sufficient capacity
capable of removing Turbidity of water two times as per the water quality test report
of 20.4 NTU and IRON 1.9 TO THE PERMISSIBLE LIMIT AS PER BIS drinking,
water quality standard .All auxiliary including fittings nuts and bolts shall be made of
MS with epoxy paint. The filter may be installed in the pumping main near tank site
in order to make the operation and maintenance easy.The life period of the filter
media supplied should be of minimum 3 years and the total head loss due to PSF
SUPPLIED SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 4M .The PSF SHOULD BE
DESIGNED with a capacity to withstand 1.5 times of the above given parameters of
discharge and head. The technical details of the filter unit including the complete
dimensions and type of filter media used shall be annexed and include the Flow
diagram,Submitting Water quality test report from KWA after commissioning of the
Scheme, submitting of Operation and Maintenance manual with guidelines for
troubleshooting shall also be provided and including water quality test and
Labelling.The GP OFFICE BEARERS shall be given Training for the Operation and
MAINTENANCE of the Plant.Housing for filter units
The housing arrangements should be as follows
*The columns shall be on RCC foundations
*Height of roof to be based on plant,and provide sloping roof
*Rafters and purlins
Precoated sheets of 0.5mm thickness to cover from top sheet onlAll other sides shall be covered with mesh wire cage (size 1”x1” with gauge 1/8”
fitted in angle iron 35x35x5MM duly painted with good quality paint )with a suitable
opening having locking arrangement.
The floor shall consist of 40mm thick concrete,The finished floor level of the
treatment plant should be as per site condition with minimum of 60 cm higher than
the natural ground level.The plinth protection shall be 0.15m higher than the Natural
level ie the floor level of the water treatment plant will be 0.45m above plinth
protection.A 1.0m wide plinth protection sloping to outside withcement
concrete/interlocking pavers mix M135 with a thickness of 50 mm shall be provided
all round the shed foundation.Suitable /necessary foundation for pumps and filters
