Strengthening of structures, replacement of damaged structural bolts and fixing of missing bolts in Main Plant at HWPT

REPAIR, REPLACEMENT & PAINTING OF STRUCTURAL MEMBERS: Repair / splicing / replacement of damaged structural members/ bracings/ plates/ chequered plate platforms using SMAW, mechanized surface cleaning using flapper wheel machine after welding, application of 1 coat zinc-rich epoxy primer (60 microns DFT minimum) and 2 coats epoxy paint (first coat 80 microns DFT and second coat 50 microns DFT minimum), erection and de-erection of scaffolding as per site requirements and directed by the EIC. All consumables like welding electrodes, paint, primer, buffing wheels, machines, tools, tackles, slings/ rope, D-shackles, chain-pulley blocks, etc. shall be under contractor’s scope. Erection and de-erection of scaffolding required for this job as well as arrangement of scaffolding materials including scaffolding pipes, clamps, jali, rope, tools & tackles, etc. are in contractor's scope The required quantity of structural steel will be provided by the department

REPLACEMENT OF DAMAGED BOLTS: Cutting/grinding and removal of damaged/corroded bolts, supply of new bolts as per requirement, cleaning, applying molykote to new bolts, fixing and tightening up to appropriate torque values as per site requirements and directed by the EIC. All consumables like structural bolts with nut and washers, molykote, paint, primer, buffing wheels, machines, tools, tackles, slings/ rope, D-shackles, chain-pulley blocks, etc. shall be under contractor’s scope.

FIXING OF MISSING BOLTS: supply of new bolts as per requirement, cleaning, applying molykote to new bolts, fixing and tightening up to appropriate torque values as per site requirements and directed by the EIC. All consumables like structural bolts with nut and washers, molykote, paint, primer, buffing wheels, machines, tools, tackles, slings/ rope, D-shackles, chain-pulley blocks, etc. shall be under contractor’s scope.

SCAFFOLDING: Supply of scaffolding material and Erection & de-erection of scaffolding wherever permanent platform is not available. This quantity will be used only for providing approach required to execute item no. 02 and 03 only as per instruction of EIC.
