Milling of distress bituminous layer upto 20mm depth in single pass with suitable milling machine (capable of milling @200-300 sqm area per Hr.) including picking up milled material and stacking old useful material in PWD Store /Site as per direction of Engineer and milled material will be handed over to the department after proper stacking as per direction of Engineer.
Earth work excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth. Kassi work undressed involving an average horizontal throw upto 2 mtr, and an average vertical lift upto 0.5 Mtr. including breaking of clods. Excavated earth may be reused on berms and deposed off surplus earth will all lead and lift including dressing complete in terriorial as per direction of Engineer-in-charge will be incidental to work and nothing will be paid. (HSR 6.2)
Preparation of sub grade including trenching, rough dressing of spoil, final dressing of earth, to given levels and camber, watering, rolling with road roller, and compacting the bed (HSR 24.1) Note: - In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.
Providing & laying 75 mm thick (Compacted) stone metal (G-I) 63 to 45mm gauge wearing coat to Water Bound Macadam using screening type 'B' compacting with 3 wheeled steel roller/vibratory roller to achieve the desired density including lighting, guarding barricading and maintenance of diversion etc. as per clause No.404 of MoRT&H specifications of road & bridges (5th Revision) of 2013 as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respect. (N.S.) Note: - No local earth / natural occurring sand shall be allowed to be used as binding / screening.

Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of bricks work and bituminous layer have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency. However the reserve price is as under :- i)Bituminous mix material @ 1250/ p. cum. Note: All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual scarifying and if material after scarifying is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser than reserve price.
