Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification clause 1603.1 & 1603.2 to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal and dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner , trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. The recovery for useful stones, for 32.75 cum. (thirty two point seven five) @ Rupees 300/= only (Rs. three hundred only) per cubic metre shall be effected on pro rata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.
Excavation in Hill area by manual/mechanical means:- Excavation in soil in hill areas all heights and depth in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hardd rock all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock( where blasting is prohibited) including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth with a lift upto all heights and all leads as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformately with the requirement of technical specification of rural roads clause 1603.1 all useful material such as stone, shingle, aggregates& slate etc. shall be sorted out and stacked along the road side properly. Any loss to the public and private property to during the course of execution shall be the absoulte responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.
Earth work in excavation for structure in all depth as per drawing and technical specification Clause 305-1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracin , removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal in all lead and lift including dressisng of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable material . Providing and laying cement concrete 1:6:12 (1 cement:6 sand : 12 graded stone 40mm agregate nominal size) for plain/reinforced concrete in open foundations complete as per drawing and technical specification clauses 802,803, 1202 and 1203.including the cost of form work and hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Providing and laying cement concrete 1:4:8 (1 cement : 4 sand :8 Graded stone aggregate 40mm nominal size) and curing complete excluding cost of form work in foundation and plinth in breast and retaining walls etc. including carriage of material within all leads and lifts and as per HP.PWD. specifications of 1990 volume-I and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Providing weep holes in brick/ stone / plain reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall, return walls with 100 mm dia PVC pipe extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V : 20H towards drawing face complete as per drawing and technical specifications clauses 614, 709 and 1204.3.7 including carriage of material within all leads and lifts and other incidentals. including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying in position cement concrete mixed and vibrated P.C.C. M-10 nominal mix of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth 1:3:6 (1 Cement : 3 coarse sand) : 6 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size)including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Granular Sub-base with Well Graded Material (Table 400.1)By Mix in Place Method including hauling of material in all leads and lifts as per the entire satisfaction and direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
