REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF HT UNDERGROUND CABLE, TRANSFORMERS, VCB/OCB AND CONNECTED ACCESSORIES AT IMA DEHRADUN.

Excavation in trenches n. exc. 1.5 mtr wide and n. exc. 1.5 mtr in depth in soft/lose soil for laying cable/taking out under ground cable GI pipes and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

All as per srl item No.1 above but depth exc 1.5 mtr and not exc 3.00 mtr complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in trenches including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers n. exc. 25 cm thick in soft/lose soil after cable/pipes are laid and tested complete all as specified and directed.

Removing the excavated soil to a distance n. exc. 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exc. 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for fine and clean sand (river sand) free from sharp materials in trenches for cushioning of cable 8 cm thick under cable and 15 cm thick over the cable including gently punning complete all as specified and directed. Note:- The total thickness of sand shall be measured 18 cm after punning.

Supplying and laying old size bricks, laid flat ie length of brick shall be laid across the cable, common burnt clay building bricks sub class `B' designation 75 complete all as specified and directed.

All as per srl item No. 6 here in before but except bricks. Note: Old bricks obtained from item No 10 here in after during taking out old underground cable shall be reused.

Material and labour for plain cement concrete 1:4:8 type D-2 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate for foundation, filling of poles as mass concrete complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in coping of poles/stays etc complete all as specified and directed.

Taking out unserviceable HT under ground cable of size 95 to 185 sq mm 3 core from trenches in side pipe on pole under road etc complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for replacement of existing unserviceable cross arms, bracings, supports, clamps and back plates fabricated from steel section including nuts, bolts, washers, welding bending cold or hot drilling holes for bolts in any shape or size inclusive of one coat of primer coat, one under coat and one finishing coat of aluminium paint complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for restringing of sagging ACSR conductor on 9/11 mtr high poles with the help of pullers/rope complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for replacement of ACSR conductor any size to HT/LT over head lines, stretching properly to achieve proper sag including binding to insulators using GI/aluminium binding wire complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for replacement of existing unserviceable disc type insulator porcelain vitreous 145 mm height and 225 mm dia ball and socket type white brown or green with tension clamp for conductor working pressure 11000 volts complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for replacement of existing unserviceable pin type insulator porcelain vitreous white brown or green insulator including one galvanized spindle two galvanized washer and one galvanized nut 150mm height and 150mm dia for working pressure 11000 volts complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for servicing of two pole, structure complete including replacement of unserviceable jumper, sleeve vice type connector GI Clamps 'T' connector run connector run through clamps, bolts nuts washer connecting lugs/thimbles knife, contacts applying petroleum jelly to the moving as well as fixed contacts, tightening all the connection for its smooth functioning and preparing old painted surface of the structure such as poles, cross arms, bracing and supports clamps back plate complete painting of one coats of anti corrosive aluminium paint complete all as specified and directed. Marking the pole No/feeder name with black colour synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed. Note: No Extra payment will be made for the spares required to keep the two pole structure in satisfactory functioning state throughout contract period other then given in schedules.

Material and labour for cutting, removing the vegetation growth and surface dressing all around the installation yard/transformer/LT panel Board areas external only to keep always installation clean and tidy. Note: All the installation yards/area shall be kept clean through out contract period repeatedly by removing the grass/shrubs as many time required depending on the growth of grass measurement will be measured and paid only once throughout contract period.

Supply, installation. connecting electrically and commissioning switch air break, gang operated, triple pole mounted on insulators 15 Nos and steel frame with operating mechanism in worked from ground level, drop out fuse, for current rating 200 amps and working voltage 11000 volts including taking down old unserviceable switch air break, gang operated complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, installation. connecting electrically and commissioning switch air break, gang operated, triple pole mounted on insulators 15 Nos and steel frame with operating mechanism in worked from ground level, drop out fuse, for current rating 400 amps and working voltage 11000 volts all including taking old unserviceable switch air break, gang operated as required at site or directed.

Material and labour for cutting/trimming tree branches along the over head HT/LT lines up to 3.0 mtr from electric line on both sides of the span and disposing of the cut tree/branches at places complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for replacement of galvanised steel tubes light grade 100 mm bore with fittings laid for protection of cable under road crossing fixed to walls or pole complete all as specified and as directed. (Note: Clamps for fixing pipe, nuts, bolts washers shall be measured separately )

Material and labour for replacement of galvanised steel tubes light grade 80 mm bore with fittings laid for protection of cable under road crossing fixed to walls or pole complete all as specified and as directed. Material and labour for scraping of old paint from steel tubular pole 11 mtr height without removing accessories and preparation of surfaces for repainting. Painting the poles with two coats of aluminium paint, marking the pole No/feeder name with black colour synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing female contact spring loaded having brass contacts suitable for GOD up to 400 Amp for working pressure 11000 volts, galvanised iron bolts, nuts and washers for fixing with post insulator or any other indicated situation complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing male contact with arching horn having brass contacts suitable for GOD up to 400 Amp for working pressure 11000 volts, galvanised iron bolts, nuts and washers for fixing with post insulator or any other indicated situation complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing copper braided belt 400 mm long with MS carrier suitable for GOD up to 400 Amp for working pressure 11000 volts, galvanised iron bolts, nuts and washers for fixing complete all as specified and directed.

Disconnecting the transformer HT/LT cables earthing leads/strips complete 11/0.433 KV any type and capacity, lifting, transporting the same up to work shop for repair and dismantling (both side) the complete transformer accessories for repair/replacement to make the transformer serviceable including, transporting to site, refixing at platform, testing of transformer on load at site after repair complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) Spares/accessories measured and paid separately under relevant items as sypply and fix (ii) The transformer shall be repaired in authorized workshop of manufacturer and original bill of the same will be submitted by the contractor as proof.

Material and labour for preventive maintenance/repairs to transformer step down 11 KV/0.433 KV of any type 250 to 1000 KVA of any make including cleaning the transformers externally thoroughly with lint free cloth, tightening the HT/LT terminal nuts, opening the top cover and replacing the perished gasket of top cover, replacing sight glass, replacing silica gel, replacing the worn out copper alloy nuts and tightening the earth terminals complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for filtration/dehydration of transformer oil through filtration plant to improve the dielectric strength/insulation value of transformer oil upto 50 KV at 2.5 mm gap for various capacity of 11 KV/ 433 volts step down transformer and HT OCB installed in various location complete all as specified and directed. Note: (a) The contractor shall take shut down orders in working before commencement of the work from Engineer in charge. (b) The contractor shall ensure no wastage of existing transformer oil. (c) The contractor solely responsible for any damages to the transformer/HT OCB during the process of oil filtration. The contractor is responsible for making good any damage to the transformer/HT OCB at his own cost without any extra cost to the department. (d) The contractor shall ensure that the conservator tank is full to its level before starting the dehydration.

Material and labour for replacement of LT metallic rod stud and nuts of existing size duly threaded made out of brass/gun metal up to 400 KVA capacity transformer 11/0.433 KV complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for replacement of LT metallic rod stud and nuts of existing size duly threaded made out of brass/gun metal of 500 to 1000 KVA capacity transformer 11/0.433 KV complete all as specified and directed.

Taking out VCB trolley, dismantling, opening and removing unserviceable /defective parts including cleaning, oiling and greasing of the parts etc and replacement of unserviceable parts with new one, reassembling the VCB after overhauling/servicing and its testing complete all as specified and directed. Note. (i) Defective spare parts shall be measured and paid separately under respective item as supply only. (ii). The rates quoted by the contractor shall include the cost of all tools, materials and labour required for dismantling / taking out and re-assembling of of VCB. (iii). The rates quoted by the contractor shall include the cost of replacement of worn out nuts, bolts, gaskets, A-grade greasing and oiling of moving parts and re fixing the same.

Spray painting to prepared surfaces using synthetic enamel paint of superior quality of colour as approved as per standard engineering practice with two coats including painting the remaining iron parts i.e. supporting angles, XPM jali etc and white wash the transformer plat form with two coats. Writing SM No, MES No, Make and capacity with white paint having height not less than 2.5 cm and width not less than 1 cm all as required and directed.
