Construction of Link road to Thakur Kujjewala road Km 0/000 to 4/365 in District Sirmour (HP) Under PMGSY-IV Batch-I. Package No. HP-10-299

Excavation in soil in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kinds of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necesary precautions against soil erosion, damages to hill side,water pollution etc. and to protect stability of hill side .Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out of rock (where blasting is prohibited) .All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines ,grades,sides slopes,width,camber,super-elevation and level as shown on the drawing and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in conformity with the requirement of MoRD technical specification for Rural Road, Section. 300 & 1600 to achive designed formation width including hauling and stacking of materials useful for constrcution at suitable sites safe manner and disposal of all surplus material to the approved dumping sites through all modes of transportation including head load and animal transport and mechanical means along with its levelling, fine dressing and carriage of machineries, tools, equipments and safety measures and other incidentals necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and labour if required. During the mobilisation period, contractor should take the advanced x-sec in 15 m interval of whole road length in the presence of Engineer-in-charge or his representative. In case the advanced x-sec has been taken in the presence of Engineer-in-Charge representative, in that case the same has to be got approved from Engineer-in-Charge. The land for dumping sites shall be arranged by the contractors himself and nothing extra shall be paid on this account,filling of unevenness blind age and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for smooth riding.The recovery for stones ,whether useful or 9273.77 (nine thousand two hundred seventy three point seven seven) cubic metre at the rate of Rs 300/-only (Rupees three hundred only ) per cubic meter shall be effected on prorata basis in all circumstances .Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor ,which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earth work in excavation for all type of road structure such as retaining walls, breast walls, culverts, drain and Parapets etcetra in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rock, hard rock chiseling /wedging out rocks (Where blasting is prohibited) as per drawings and M.O.R.D. technical specification section 300 and 1600 and as per direction of the Engineer- In – Charge including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious materials and disposal of materials upto any lead and lift including dressing of sides, bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable approved material to the original surface in layer not executing 150 mm (one hundred fifty millimetre) compacted thickness including shoring and strutting and pumping and bailing out water (surface and sub soil water ) upto any depth any quantam of water including cleaning of slush which may arise out during dewatering complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4 mm (four millimetre) dia GI wire conforming to IS:280 and IS:4826 in 100 mm x 100 mm (one hundred millimetre into one hundred millimetre) mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 % (ten percent) extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 40 kg (forty kilogram) each as per drawing and MORD technical specifications section 1300 including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidental . Providing, laying and rolling of close-graded Mix Seal Surfacing surfacing material of 20 mm thickness composed of 11.2 mm to 0.09 mm (Type-A) @ 0.338 kg/per ten square meter aggregates using penetration grade bitumen @ ie binders content @27.50kg/10sqm or 5.11% by weight and minimun density of MSS should be 2.10 gm/cc to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 8-10 kN static roller and finishing to required level and grades as per M.O.R.D. technical specifications section 500 including all leads, lifts and carriage of materials complete as per entire saisfication of the Engineer in Charge.

Providing and Laying of Interlocking Concrete Block Pavements having thickness 80 mm shall consist of a surface layer of appropriate sized concrete paving blocks paved and compacted over a thin bedding sand layer of specified grading, which is spread over a properly constructed and profiled base course and is bounded by properly installed edge restraints. The joints shall be filled by fine sand o specified grading. It shall be fixed with 30 x 30 x 30cm (thirty into thirty into thirty centimetre) block with cement concrete 1:2:4 (one cement isto two sand isto four graded crushed stone aggregate 20mm (twenty millimetre) nominal size as per specifications complete as per direction of Engineer – in- Charge including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidental . Planting unrooted hardwood cuttings (2.0 m in length and 3.0 to 8.0 cm (three to eight centimetre) in diameter) of appropriate approved species on slopes, including final preparation of cuttings, preparing lines, digging trenches to specified dimensions and forming fascines as per direction of Engineer – in- Charge including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidental . Road side tree planting containerzed tree and shurbs including potting, transplanting, compacting and mulching on slopes 30 (thirty) degree to 60 (sixty) degree pits size 30 cm (thirty centimetre) diametre into 30cm (thirty centimetre) depth. Providing and mixing compost with thre soil, Provisioning and applying of pesticides of required including labour abd transporation to the site. as per direction of Engineer – in- Charge including carriage of materials within all leads, lifts and other incidental .
