Cleaning/preparation of surfaces:- The surface of the Gantries which needs to be painted should be properly cleaned with the help of abrasive materials like wire brushes / sand papers etc for the cleaning of rusted/cardium compound droplets wherever is required. The old damaged paint should be properly removed in order to make the surface ready for the paint coat.

Primer:- After properly cleaning and preparing the surface. One coat of Ready mixed red oxide Zinc chromate primer should be applied and let it dry completely. Only after the 1st coat is completely dry, 2 coat of Ready mixed red oxide Zinc chromate primer is to be applied and Let it dry completely.

Paint Coat:- After Ensuring the primer is completely dry, 2 coats of ready mixed synthetic enamel paint in all required shades of Approved brand. (i.e, Berger,Nerolac /equivalent.) is to be applied only after letting one coat to dry completely.

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the exterior side, up to 7 storey height made with 40mm dia M.S. tube 1.5m centre to centre horizontal & vertical tubes joining with cup & lock system with M.S. tubes, M.S. tubechallies, M.S. clamps and M.S. staircase system in the scaffoldings for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the structure/building etc. wherever required for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. The payment will be made once irrespective of duration of scaffolding.

The surface of the pipeline, saddles, flanges etc which needs to be painted should be properly cleaned with the help of abrasive materials like wire brushes / sand papers etc for the cleaning of rusted/cardium compound droplets wherever required

After the surface is dry and ready for coat , one priming coat with ready mixed red oxide zinc chromate primer of approved brand and manufacturer on galvanized iron/steel works should be applied and let it dry. Wherever required necessary covering arrangements should be done where seepage affects the job.

After ensuring the first priming coat is completely dry, second coat of primer with ready mixed red oxide Zinc Chromate primer of approved brand and manufacture on G.I/steel work should be applied, and all necessary steps mentioned in STEP-I should be made to make the work more efficient

After ensuring the and coat is completely dry and making necessary arrangements wherever required. The Two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture (i.e. Berger, nerolac/ eq. brand) should be applied one after other (ensuring one coat is completely dry) to give an even shade. The shade should be blue or black/ as directed by the site in charge.
