Investigation Works
OD-Detailed topographic survey using Total station/mobile Lider and preperation of site plan of minimum of 15m on either side of the centre line and taking cross section details at 25m intervals on straight roads and 10m interval on curves ( survey includes details of all features as mention in the scope of the in plane terrain work within the limit of the survery). The survey shall be include establishing DGPS control points at starting and ending of the project in pairs and at 4 KM intervels (in pairs) in plane and rolling terrain and 2.5 Km intervels (in pairs) in hilly terrains.IT shall also include establishing inter visible traverse control points not more than 250m apart with accuracy of at least 1:10000 and desirable 1:20000 in distance measurement. Elevation of each other control points connected to MSL of GPS Bench Mark using precision levelling. Seperate bench marks need not be established. Including taking sufficient colour copy prints.(5 Nos)
OD- Establishing DGPS control points on TOR steel bar of 10 mm dia fixed in RCC pillar of size 20X20X70cm embeddded in concrete M15 up to a depth of 40 cm and the balancce 30 cm above the ground shall be painted yellow
OD- Establishing traverse control points with elevations on pillar of size 15cmX15cmX60cm M20 grade RCC pillar with a nail fixed on the top surface. The pillars shall be embedded in the concrete.Spacing 250 M apart as a bench mark - control pillar. The spacing shall be maximum 250 m apart . No seperate bench mark need to be established.
OD-Conducting turning movement survey at junction for 3 day for peak hours (7am to 11 am and 3.30 pm to 7.30 pm) by recording the classifed volume count in the prescribed format, including provision for engaging technicians and setting up of station etc and compiling the data and submitting the same in hard and soft copy etc. complete as per the instructions of PWD officials
OD-Turning movement survey at Four arm Junction. Conducting turning movement survey at Junction for one day for 12 hours(7.00am to 7.00pm) by recording the classified volume count in the prescribed format,including provision for engaging technicians and setting up of station etc.and compiling the data and submitting the same in hard and soft copy etc.complete as per the instruction of PWD officials.
OD-Conducting one test consisting of taking deflection at 10points at 50m interval on one km stretch according to specification given in 81-1997, number of test conducted is as directed by the engineer in charge- conducting laboratory test to get moisture content and soil classification as per IS standards - For arranging equipment for testing 1km test taking one and half hour - Calculating Charecteristic deflection of one test from one test data obtained from part 1 ( one test data means comprising of taking deflecton at 10 points at 50m interval in 1km stretch according to the specification given in IRC81-1997) and submitting in hard and soft copy.
OD- Study of pavement composition by cutting open pit at tar edge to get the details of layers (thickness and type ) of pavement composition - at one location as suggested by the engineer in charge carefully by excavating pit of area 1.00x 0.60m through overlaying bituminous and granular layer including BC, DBM/BM, WMM and GSB at tar edge and refilling and compacting the excavated pit to lines and levels with excavated materials as directed by the departmental officers at site and reporting the pavement composition with photographs and measurements specifying the type of layers
12.4 Plain cement concrete 1:3:6 Nominal mix in foundation with crushed stone aggregate 40mm nominal size mechanically mixed,placed in foundation and compacted by vibration including curing for 14 days
12.8B Plain /Reinforced cement concrete in open foundation complete as per drawing and techinal specification PCC grade M20 (with out form work)
OD- Data for inventory survey of Existing road for survey work of collecting road inventories and recording in prescribed format of IRC SP 19 attached based on chainage marking including marking chainage at 50m interval and taking details such as existing carriageway width,shoulder width, Type of shoulder ,width and location of approach road ,details of existing drains,culverts and bridges as given in the format attched,pavement conditions(details of potholes, raveling, fog seal,slurry seal edge damage etc)raod safety measures (details of road sign,crash barriers,guard stones,delineator post, hazard markers etc) and all other existing retaining structures in road,including documentation charges etc as per direction of the officers at site
OD- Collection of sub-grade soil sample at 500m interval carefully by excavating pit of area 1.0*0.6m through overlying bituminous and granular layer or from subgrade of formation area as directed by the engineer in charge for laboratory test and filling back and compacting the excavated pit to lines and levels with excavated materials as directed by the departmental officer at site.
OD-Conducting Soil Classification test, Modified Proctor Test,and CBR test as per the IS Code guidelines and making report of one soil sample
56.1.a -Mobilization including transportation of all necessary plant and equipments and materials of boring, field testing and sampling and demobilization after completing the work - For machine boring
56.17.1 Providing access to the site, clearing site and making good for erecting and conducting soil testing transfers within the site and for any other temporary arrangenents to be erected within the area in connection with conducting soil testing
56.2.a Setting up boring at each bore hole locations including carrying all necessary plant, equipment and materials of boring and field tests and collection of samples at each bore hole location - For machine boring.
56.3.a.1 Boring with rotary power drilling equipments in - all types of soil having N value less than 50 excluding hard rock, soft rock or medium rock for strata upto 10m including conducting necessary S.P.T and recovery of undisturbed soil samples at 5m intervals - For ordinary soil.- In land
56.3.b.1 Boring with rotary power drilling equipments in - all types of soil having N value less than 50 excluding hard rock, soft rock or medium rock for strata next 10m and upto a depth of 20m including conducting necessary S.P.T and recovery of undisturbed soil samples at 5m intervals - For ordinary soil.
56.3.c.1 Boring with rotary power drilling equipment in - all types of soil having N value less than 50 excluding hard rock, soft rock or medium rock for strata next 20m and upto a depth of 30m including conducting necessary S.P.T and recovery of undisturbed soil samples at 5m intervals - For ordinary soil.
56.3.d.1 Boring with rotary power drilling equipment's in - all types of soil having N value less than 50 excluding hard rock, soft rock or medium rock for strata above 30m depth including conducting necessary S.P.T and recovery of undisturbed soil samples at 5m intervals - For ordinary soil.
56.4 Boring through all type of hard rock or similar refusal strata of N value greater than 50 using diamond core drilling bit for in land under water and banks of river.
56.5.a Boring through all classes of rock excluding hard rocks having N value greater than 50 using tungsten carbide drilling bit - In land
56.7 Conducting standard penetration test in bore hole at any depth.
56.8 Recovering disturbed samples and preserving the same in air tight sample containers including waxing labelling packing storing including cost of containers as per IS Code.
56.6 Recovering undisturbed soil samples using thin tube sampler of 75mm.to 100mm length internal dia 500mm length conforming to relevant IS Code at any required depth including clearing the bore hole etccomplete.(at every 3 m interval)(Undisturbed soil samples (UDS) shall be obtained at every 3.0 m interval starting from 1.0 m in all type of soil along the bore depth up to SPT 'N' values of less than 50. Sampler shall be 75 mm/100 mm internal diameter and generally 450 mm long. Thin walled open drive sampler shall be used in cohesive strata. This sampler shall be made of seamless steel. Sampling shall be done as soon as possible after the clean-out operation. Area ratio of the sample must restrict to 20% for stiff formations & 10% or less for soft sensitive clays as per IS 1892-1979.)
