SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface preparation using hand tool cleaning including removal of oil, grease and other contaminants by solvent cleaning followed by removal of defective paint, loose mill scale, loose rust, loose paint, weld flux, slag from the metallic surfaces, by hand chipping, hand brushing, hand scrappers / chisels, steel wools, final cleaning with low pressure low TDS fresh soft water jet cleaning including supply of water and drying with compressed air as per the specifications and directions of Site Engineer. Prepared surface shall conform to WJ-4 /ST-2as per NACE no.5/SSPC SP-12 standards.

PAINT APPLICATION

Supply and application of one coat @ 125µm of surface tolerant epoxy follwed by another coat @ 50µm DFT of Aliphatic polyurethane by airless spray application on piping (all sizes / all heights) including the supply of paints, equipments, tools & tackles, labours, consumables etc. The scope shall include stripe coat over all weld joints/Projected, sharp corners, supply of all equipments, tools, tackles, labour, greasing of all flange studs including supply of grease before the application of paint etc. as per specifications and directions/instructions of EIC/Site Engineer.

Supply and application of two coats (2 x 100µm per coat of Surface tolerant epoxy) and top coat (50µm DFT of Aliphatic polyurethane) by airless spray application, on piping (all sizes / all heights) along with stripe coat of surface tolerant epoxy on all weld joints/ projections by brush including supply of all requisite resources (paints, equipments, tools, tackles, manpower, consumables, non-consumables etc.) to complete the work in all respects as per specifications and directions of the EIC/ Site Engineer.

Supply & application of one coat (min 1x 400µm per coat) of solvent free epoxy paint and top coat (50µm DFT of Aliphatic polyurethane) by airless spray application over piping facilities such as Soil/air interface of piping, .including supply of all requisite resources (paints, equipments, tools, tackles, manpower, consumables, non-consumables etc.) to complete the work in all respects as per specifications and directions of the EIC/ Site Engineer. The thickness of coating shall be around 450 micron.

MISCELLANEOUS

Painting lines, Arrows, letter writing etc. with the HB Synthetic Enamel Paint of the Shade/Color as mentioned by Site Enginner/EIC including manual cleaing of the surface. The scope of contractor also includes the re-painting of thickness survey points after final painting.
