RETENDER FOR IMPROVEMENT/WIDENING OF INTERNAL ROAD TO IW SPECIFICATIONS WITH BLACK TOP SURFACE INCLUDING INTERLOCKING BLOCK FOOTPATH AT GREF CENTRE AND RECORDS, PUNE, UNDER PROJECT CHETAK IN THE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA

FORMATION WORKS

Rough excavation in soil/soil mixed with small boulders getting out and disposing all excavated materials lead up to 6 m and up to 1.5 m deep (by manual means). All as specified in special conditions and particular specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge/ OC Contract.

PERMANENT WORKS (PROTECTIVE/IMPROVEMENT WORK)

Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.2 m width and 1.5 m depth in soil/soil mixed with boulders (SMB), including dressing bottom and sides getting out and disposing all excavated material lead upto 6 m and lift upto 1.5 m. (by manual means).

Hard core comprising of broken road metal size 5 cm graded downwards spread in layers not exceeding 15 cm including watering, ramming and finishing to required level and gradient including cost of stone metal.

Plain cement concrete 1:4:8 (1 cement: 4 sand: 8 stone aggregates of size 4cm graded downwards) in foundation or elsewhere (excluding the cost of centering/shuttering).

Plain cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand: 6 stone aggregate size 4cm graded downwards) in foundation or elsewhere (excluding the cost of centering/shuttering).

Centering/Shuttering (Steel) including strutting, propping and removal of formwork

Random / Polygonal rubble walling in cement mortar (1:6) brought to course 45 cm high, well bonded (material and labour)

Road marking with thermoplastic paint (2.5 mm thick) conforming to MoRT&H: 803.4 including preparation of surface and application.

Providing/laying of weep holes of size 4"x4"x1 Mtr using PVC pipe 4" dia with PCC 1:4:8.

Providing and fixing Informatory road sign post of normal size 80 x 60 cms tightly bolted/ welded to suitable parts of angle Iron (50 x 50 x 5 mm) two numbers braced with MS plate 10 mm width diagonally embedded in PCC 1:4:8 including painting. The height of the board to be 1.5 m from the crown of pavement (All as per IRC 67 of 1977).

Supplying and installation of delineators (600 mm) (road way indicators, hazard markers, object markers), 80-100 cm high above ground level, painted black and white in 15 cm wide strips, fitted with 80x100 mm rectangular or 75 mm dia circular reflectorised panels at the top, buried or pressed into the ground and conforming to IRC:79 and the drawings, all complete as per clause 805 of MoRT&H specifications.

Providing and erecting a "W" metal beam crash barrier comprising of 3 mm thick corrugated sheet metal beam rail, 70 cm above road/ground level, fixed on ISMC series channel vertical post, 150x75x5 mm spaced 2 mtr centre-to-centre, 1.80 mtr high, 1.10 mtr below ground/road level, all steel parts and fitments to be galvanised by hot dip process, all fittings to conform to IS:1367 and IS:1364, metal beam rail to be fixed on the vertical post with a spacer of channel section 150x75x5 mm, 330 mm long complete as per clause 810 of MoRT&H specifications.

Providing and fixing of road stud 100x100 mm, diecast in aluminium, resistant to corrosive effect of salt and grit, fitted with lens reflectors, installed in concrete or asphaltic surface by drilling hole 30 mm upto a depth of 60 mm and bedded in a suitable bituminous grout or epoxy mortar, all as per BS:873 (Part 4) 1973.

Provision & fixing of Kerb Stones of size 0.30x0.10x0.45 m for edging

Provision & fixing of interlocking colour Tiles for footpath 50 mm thick of size 0.225x0.15m or 0.03375 Sqm area per Nos

SURFACING WORKS

Preparation of sub-grade in SMB by excavating up to 20 cm avg depth, dressing excavated earth to required camber or super elevation and consolidating with power roller incl watering & disposal of surplus earth within a lead of 30 mtr.

GSB 15 cm thick (compacted) with natural sand, moorum, gravel or any material as per Table- 400-1 of MORT&H specifications for road and bridge works) including supply of material, spreading in layers watering and compaction all complete.

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate grading as per Table-400-13 and satisfying the physical reqmt as per Table No. 400-12 of MORT&H specifications for WMM specifications to a thickness of 75 mm, including premixing the material with water to OMC in mechanical mix (Pug Mill) laying in uniform layers in sub base/base course on a well prepared base and compacting with power vibratory roller to achieve the desired density including guarding. (Two layers).

Providing and applying prime coat with bitumen emulsion on prepared surface of granular base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer @ 7.50 Kg per 10 sqm. (using BPD with manual labour).

Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion using emulsion pressure distributor @ 2.5 Kg/10 Sqm on prepared bituminous/granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom, all complete as per clause 503 of MoSRT&H specifications.

Providing and laying 50 mm thick DBM layer, precoated stone aggregate physical requirements/grading/mix composition requirement as per Table - 500-8/9/10 respectively of MORT&H specifications for road and bridge works with 4.250% asphalt VG-10 penetration grade as per MoRT&H data book and rolled to the required specification.

Providing and laying 30 mm thick BC on bituminous concrete layer with precoated stone chips grading confirming to Table:500-17 and mix satisfying the physical requirement of table 500-16 of MORT&H specifications, mixed with 5% binder asphalt VG-10 penetration grade by weight of total mix and 2% cement by weight of mix (for filler) all as specified as per MoRT&H data book.
