GENERAL SERVICES AND WHARFAGE
The estimated dry-dock and afloat repairs is 60 days from the date of handing over the vessel to Shipyard
Vessel to be safely berthed at a suitable yard's repair berth when Vessel is not in dry-dock. Services are to be provided at the repair berth as well as in the dry-dock as required. Please quote number of day basis including berth hire charges and wharfage. Payment will be made as per actuals.
On arrival plastic sheets to be laid in all alleyways and cabin and conference rooms where carpet is used to avoid any damage to existing floor mats.
MOORING AND UNMOORING [Payment will be made at actual]
Mooring & unmooring and shifting with the assistance of pilot, required number of tugs, rigger, boatsman and docking master.
For berthing on repair berth on Vessel’s arrival.
For unberthing to enter drydock.
For berthing at the repair berth again only if required after undocking.
For unberthing from repair berth for sea trial
For berthing at the repair berth after completion of sea trial
For unberthing from repair berth for sailing.
Docking and Undocking including block preparation and setting as per docking plan of the vessel (only one version docking). [Payment will be made at actual]
Vessel to be safely docked in a suitable drydock on blocks of adequate height [as per the ship's docking plan]. Please note that Sagar Tara has a drop keel arrangement which is also indicated in the docking plan. Please quote for total dry-dock hire charges for total period of DD on day basis. Please note work to be continued on weekends and holidays - Includes dock preparation and setting up of block - Adequate no. of divers to be arranged at the time of docking - Providing Staging, Hot work, Blanking, Electrical Isolation, Cleaning, hull support - Un docking after completion of drydock repairs
Proposed Block Shifting for cleaning and painting – 20 Blocks (Approx.) Block shifting for painting left out portion of the hull (initial docking blocks to be shifted).
If any extra blocks to be arranged to suit the docking arrangement for proper load sharing while shifting [approx. 5 blocks]. Extra care to be taken in way of transducers. N.B. : If Vessel is shifted for yard's convenience NIOT would not be liable for charges for same.
Provide protection of equipment on deck and accommodation
Deck equipment to be protected from damages due to blasting and other dry dock works Port holes, Bridge windows, ECR windows, Accommodation door glasses and other openings to be protected from damages due to blasting and other dry dock works All ventilation intakes on the main deck to be covered prior grit blasting.
Engine room to be supplied by air chutes for ventilation – 2 no’s, service pressure airline to be provided with 7kg/cm2 for entire period.
FIRE PRECAUTIONS
3a.To supply sea water for ship's fire main lines at all times during entire period of stay. Pressures in the fire main line on deck to be maintained at least at 5 kgs per cm sq. So that minimum 2 fire hoses can be used simultaneously in case required.
3b. To provide one fire watchman during entire period of vessel's stay in yard premises.
GARBAGE DISPOSAL 4a. To remove galley refuse once per day and removal of Garbage on daily basis during the entire stay of dry docking / afloat. [approx. 0.5 cbm/per day]
4b. To provide one sewage holding portable tank and the same to be connected to main sanitary line till the ship`s sewage treatment plant remains un operational
4c. To provide as and when required shore crane services for lifting of ship's stores, spares, provisions etc; on board. Quote charges inclusive of slings and riggers. estimated requirement _3_ hrs daily. [Payment will be made on pro-rata basis] PLEASE NOTE: Yard must get the total time crane used for each occasion certified by ship's staff showing therein date and hrs. of each crane usage.
AUXILIARY SERVICES DURING THE DRYDOCK
Provide the gangway during the stay at dock
GAS FREE / HOT WORK CERTIFICATES [Payment will be made at actual]
Yard to arrange for govt. / authorised explosive inspectors for obtaining gas free certificate / hot work certificate for compartments / tanks /enclosed space entry on board as required during the repair period. Copy of respective certificates shall be submitted to Ship staff Assume __5__ compartments to be certified per visit.
FRESH WATER [Payment will be made at actual]
Yard to supply fresh water for ship's domestic use as and when required during the entire dry dock / afloat period. Total estimated requirements __5___ tons per day Total estimated requirement 300 tons
COOLING WATER
Yard to supply cooling water for air conditioning units during the time when vessel is in dry dock / afloat period assume supply through one line for 25 days. Please Note : In case cooling water supply as above is common with fire main line yard to take adequate pressure is maintained in fire main line at all times.
Ballast Water
Yard to fill ballast water using yard's pumps in say__04_ ballast tanks. Estimated quantity of ballast water to fill in _40 tons Note: Yard to quote rate including rigging / unrigging of yard's pumps and due attendance during the ballasting operation.
DE-BALLASTING
Yard to de-ballast water using yard's pumps for de-ballasting. In say _04____ number of ballast tanks Estimated quantity of ballast water to pump out _40 tons. the rate quoted by the yard to include rigging / unrigging of yard's pumps and attendance during de-ballasting operation.
WOODEN PLUGS
Yard to provide and fix wooden plugs with spouts to scuppers and pipes of the vessel in drydock.
All under water hull transducers/sensors to be cleaned and need to protect while high pressure water washing, sand blasting and painting. Drop keel area to be cleaned with low pressure wash. Transducer to be covered with 6mm plywood. Note: Proper precaution to be taken in such a way that there should not be any damage occurred to the transducers/sensors.
H.P.WASHING 1) All external surfaces of the hull to be cleaned with high pressure fresh water jets to remove all the fouling and salt deposits at a pressure not less than 90 kg/cm sq.

Normal light scraping to be carried out on 30% of underwater area mentioned in the above h.p washing
FRESH WATER WASHING All external surfaces of the hull to be washed with fresh water to remove all the dirt/ dust particles before applying coats. For areas refer sl.no 13
THICKNESS DETERMINATION
Thickness determination (UTG) as per surveyor recommendations Conducting Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging of hull, tanks, decks and as per Class / NIOT recommendations. Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging report with recommendation for plate renewal to be submitted to IRS/NIOT. If recommended by Class, additional points will be required to be taken on Pro-rate basis.
BLASTING AND PAINTING Grit Blasting SA 2.5 shall be carried out to facilitate proper application of painting. Technical superintendent will inspect hull areas before application of any paint. [Only guidelines are provided in the below columns. Bidders should get paint scheme from the recommended paint manufacturers like International, Jotun & Akzo Nobel. Paint inspection certificate to be submitted from the OEM/Paint inspector. Paint inspector should be arranged by the shipyard]. [All paint is under the scope of shipyard supply]. All inway jobs required for cleaning, blasted, painting, etc, should be within the quoted amount. Note: LP F.W. washing to be done, before applying system coats on the hull and the superstructure within the quoted amount. As per the IRS Survey Status Report for Special survey TBT free anti fouling system manufactured by ‘PPG Protective & Marine Services “type “Sigma Ecofleet 290” colour Red Brown/Brown” with total DFT 580 micron. Self life 30 months to be applied and endorsement of records to be issued for continued validity of AFS Certificate. Above water area : [only HP fresh water wash]

E.R. bilges / steering room and bow thruster room bilges to be thoroughly cleaned and to be painted as per painting scheme. ER: 90 sq. m, AMR: 40 Sq. m, Steering: 30 sq.m, BT room: 40 sq.m
To paint forward (port & starboard) midships (port & starboard) & aft draft marks (port & starboard) markings for bow thruster & loadline marks.
To paint ship's name in Hindi & English on port and starboard bows and also on stern port of registry owner’s logo and IMO number (port & starboard) as per existing arrangement.
To remove, re-fit of seal bottom plugs. Vacuum test to be carried out to satisfaction of class after fitting. If any seal bottom plugs is found damaged during removing / re-fitting, same to be renewed.
Remove manhole covers and box up same with new rubber packing joint for ballast/ fresh water tanks/oil tanks void spaces and trunking area. Packing shipyard supply. [For each tank approx. 2 m]. Estimated manhole covers to be opened /boxed up [All consumables/gaskets/studs/bolts are under the scope of shipyard].
SCIENTIFIC HANDLING EQUIPMENT [All paint is under the scope of shipyard supply]. 5 Ton A frame, 2 Ton Side A frame and 2 Ton J Frame to be spot chipped & painted with suitable existing color including pulleys, hooks and supporting rails.
2 Ton Cranes [Port and Starboard] to be high pressure washed, spot chipped & painted with existing suitable color
STEEL RENEWAL -SHELL AND INSIDE TANKS [All steel are under the scope of shipyard supply]
During the docking survey as recommended by the class surveyor hull plate to be renewed if required. Quote an estimated Approx.: 5 tons steel renewal. Steel Grade Shall be approved by IRS class. If recommended by Class, Additional plate renewals will be paid on pro-rate basis. All steels are under the scope of shipyard supply
RENEWAL OF ANODES [All anodes are under the scope of shipyard supply]
As per surveyor’s recommendation following jobs to be carried out. • Cutting and removal of existing anodes • Welding of new anodes with proper air gap between hull and anode •• While painting, proper protection/covering to be made ensuring anode should not get painted • Uniform welding on the anode pad to be ensured for adequate strength.
MAIN DECK F'CLE DK PAINTING [All paint is under the scope of shipyard supply] Deck Painting including main deck, for’cle deck, wheel house deck and monkey deck. Painting as per painting scheme. 20% of total area to be spot chipped / power tooling. Final coat should be anti skid paint & color should be Deck Green

SURVEY ITEMS - FOR CLASS – Docking Survey Liaison with IRS, MMD and visits as required shall be arranged by Ship Yard at every stage to complete the Intermediate 5 YEARLY docking survey and Necessary fees / all related charges including transportation are to be included by Shipyard.
DRYDOCK SERVICES To provide power supply to the vessel for 500 kWhr per day approx. [For 60 days approx.] Load (415V 50Hz 100Amps 3Phase), shipyard to quote for entire dry-docking period. Suitable power cable and its connection and dis connection as part of scope. Energy meter reading will be noted down in front ship staff/NIOT during starting and end of service. Proper record to be maintained by shipyard. Payment will be done as per actual consumption
Engine room bilges to be transferred daily/ as and when required assume 1 Cu.m per day
TANK CLEANING & PAINTING TANK CONTENTS TO BE TRANSFERRED TO SHORE FACILITY ARRANGED BY YARD. TANKS TO BE CLEANED THOROUGHLY AFTER GAS FREEING.TO CLEAN PIPELINES AND VALVES IN IMMEDIATE CONTACT WITH THE TANK. AS PER SPECIAL SURVEY 5 YEAR CYCLE FOLLOWING TANK EXAMINATION AND PR.TEST TO BE CARRY OUT THOUGH IRS SURVEYUR AS PER THE CLASSIFICATION REQUIREMENT AND OBTAIN CERTIFICATE. Drop Keel Inspection Drop keel servicing to be done for its satisfactory operation. Extra precautionary measures to be adopted during the execution of work in drop keel since transducers are mounted in the drop keel. Scope of work involves - Overhauling of the lowering and Hoisting mechanism - Lowering of drop keel - Hydraulic motor and high-pressure lines to be inspected - Ropes to be checked - Greasing / Lubrication to be done - Rubber bedding to be inspected - Any vibration while lowering / hoisting of drop keel to be arrested. - Perished component to be replaced. - Electrical cabling shall be secured inside the drop keel - Cleaning and painting to be carried out both inside and outside area and walls - Securing transducer cables inside the drop keel by installing plastic casing and caping. - Fabrication and fixing of drip tray for drop keel motor to be provided with drain plug. [Material: MS, 20mm threaded hole to provide with suitable thread plug]. - Provide lighting and Air ventilation inside the drop keel during testing and repairing of the sensors). - Prior to replace the Zinc nickel plating / ANODE cover the sensor cable with fire production sheet. All spares/materials/consumables are under the scope of shipyard supply.
General Cleanliness Yard to arrange regular cleaning of vessel on completion of repairs. Entire vessel deck & engine room to be thoroughly cleaned and fresh water washed. Please quote lumpsum.
Total Fumigation After completion of dry dock repair fumigation of entire ship accommodation to be carried out. All electronic equipment to be shifted to safe place with proper covering and shifted back to position and fixing after fumigation. Security guards to be provided throughout the period of fumigation. All vents and doors to be sealed to avoid any leakage of gases. All labs wheel house and radio rooms etc. to be sealed properly prior to gas release. Warning placards to be placed in where ever necessary safety measures to be taken prior release of gas and head counts of fumigation staff to be taken and reported master. after completion of fumigation all debris including dead rats to be removed and proper cleaning of accommodation to be carried out. On completion of Fumigation, arrange for Ship Sanitation Certificate to be issued by Port Health Officer
Transportation during non- operation of galley/mess Shipyard shall provide necessary transport (14 nos of Officers/crews) of acceptable standards for ship’s crew / officers during the period of non-operation of galley and fumigation from hotel to Shipyard and return.
Decent accommodation with wifi to be arranged for NIOT representatives (2 persons) for the entire dry docking period.
a. Shipyard shall provide local transportation arrangement [dedicated One car-Type SUV] for NIOT representatives during the dry-docking and afloat repair.
b. An air-conditioned office space to be provided to NIOT representative with Computer, printer, internet facility, telephone with STD facility in the shipyard premises during the entire period of dry-docking and afloat repair
Transportation to be provided from airport/railway station to shipyard and vice versa for NIOT /MoES/TFEC Officials as when required. Approx. 6 round trips of 4 SUV type vehicle. However payment will be made on Pro-Rate basis for any extra usage.
Location: Officer mess room Flush type Manhole Cover [Qty:04 nos.] in mess room Wooden Plywood with floor installation damaged. Same to be renewed with new one. Size: 75 x 55cm each (All spares, materials, consumables which are required are under the scope of shipyard supply)
Sea Trial: After dry docking and on completion of all repairs of machinery and equipment, sea trial to be arranged by the shipyard to ensure / test of all machineries, Scientific equipment and navigation and communication equipment. Estimated for 8 hours. OEM’S of all the machinery to be arranged during sea trial.
a. Following sea chest gratings to be opened after inspection to be closed. Securing of sea chest gratings to be done to fulfil the class requirement. Dimension: 350mm x 900mm – 05 nos 500mm x 500mm – 01 no 120mm x 350mm – 02 nos 1. Cleaning and HP washing to be carried out 2. Blasting and application of underwater paint scheme under the sea chest. 3. Proper lasing to be done, and fittings back the gratings as per requirement of IRS Class. 4. Opened up sea chest gratings to blasted and painted, as per the under water paint scheme. (All spares, materials, consumables which are required are under the scope of shipyard supply)
b. Bow Thruster Bow thruster tunnel gratings on both port & stbd side to be opened up Tunnel and Tunnel gratings to be blasted and painted as per the under paint scheme and boxed up. Propeller blades of bow thruster to be polished DP test to be carried out. (All spares, materials, consumables which are required are under the scope of shipyard supply)
DECK SIDE Scope of Work [All Spares / materials / consumable which are required for complete service are under the scope of shipyard]. Location: For’cle deck Railings on (Port & Stbd) side in various places got bent / deformed. The same to be attended and rectified. Cutting and welding work to be carried out, if necessary, by replacing the existing material. Material : Marine Grade Aluminum Pipe OD: About 50mm (2 inch) Length: About 8mtr (All Materials, Spares, consumables which are required for complete scope are under the scope of shipyard)
Location: For’cle deck Windlass guide bar (Port & Stbd) are slightly bent. It needs to attended and aligned in place. to prevent anchor chain from getting stuck between guide bar and gypsy. Material: MS Length: About 250 mm, Height: About 70 mm. (All Materials, Spares, consumables which are required for complete service are under the scope of shipyard)
Location: For'cle deck Port & Starboard anchor chain link center stud is out of position in 1st shackle and various places. Some chain links are bended various places. The same to be attended and rectified. Hot work, Cutting and welding work, etc to be carried out, if necessary. Material: MS (All Materials, Spares, consumables which are required for complete service are under the scope of shipyard)
Location: Main deck Port & Starboard guard rail and stanchions has been deformed. The same to be attended and rectified. Hot work, Cutting, welding work, etc to be carried out, if necessary for satisfactory rectification and straightening.
