EARTH WORK

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan), including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift upto 1.5 m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 m.All kinds of soil.

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.

Diluting and injecting chemical emulsion (chlorpyriphos/Lindane E.C 20% with 1% concentration) at the rate of one litre per hole at 300 mm c/c to all the horizontal and vertical surface of the excavation made for the foundation of the building, soil under floor,apron, back fill material and along all the faces of the walls for PRE-CONSTRUCTIONAL anti-termite treatment (including the cost of chemical emulsion) as per IS:6313 Part-II. (Plinth area of building shall be measurd for payment.)

Supplying and filling in plinth with Jamuna sand under floors, including watering, ramming, consolidating and dressing complete.

Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits (including cost of compensation for earth taken from private land) with a lift upto 1.5 m, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 with a lead upto 1000 m as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5

CONCRETE WORK

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level :1:4:8 (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size)

Providing and laying damp-proof course 40 mm thick with cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate 12.5 mm nominal size).

Providing and laying flamed finish Granite stone flooring in required design and patterns, in linear as well as curvilinear portions of the building all complete as per the architectural drawings with 18 mm thick stone slab over 20 mm (average) thick base of cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) laid and jointed with cement slurry and pointing with white cement slurry admixed with pigment of matching shade including rubbing, curing and polishing etc. all complete as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge : Flamed finish granite stone slab Jet Black, Cherry Red, Elite Brown, Cat Eye or equivalent.

Landscaping work

Supplying and stacking of good earth at site including royalty and carriage upto 5 km lead complete (earth measured in stacks will be reduced by 20% for payment).

Supplying and stacking at site dump manure from approved source, including carriage upto 5 km lead complete (manure measured in stacks will be reduced by 8% for payment) : Screened through sieve of I.S. designation 20 mm

Preparation of beds for hedging and shrubbery by excavating 60 cm deep and trenching the excavated base to a further depth of 30 cm, refilling the excavated earth after breaking clods and mixing with sludge or manure in the ratio of 8:1 (8 parts of stacked volume of earth after reduction by 20% : one part of stacked volume of sludge or manure after reduction by 8%), flooding with water, filling with earth if necessary, watering and finally fine dressing, leveling etc. including stacking and disposal of materials declared unserviceable and surplus earth by spreading and leveling as directed, within a lead of 50 m, lift up to 1.5 m complete (cost of sludge, manure or extra earth to be paid for separately)

Digging holes in ordinary soil and refilling the same with the excavated earth mixed with manure or sludge in the ratio of 2:1 by volume (2 parts of stacked volume of earth after reduction by 20% : 1 part of stacked volume of manure after reduction by 8%) flooding with water, dressing including removal of rubbish and surplus earth, if any, with all leads and lifts (cost of manure, sludge or extra good earth if needed to be paid for separately) Holes 1.2 m dia and 1.2 m deep

Providing and fixing M.S. flat iron tree guard 60 cm dia and 2 m high, above ground consisting 4 nos 25 x 6 mm, 2.25 m long and 8 nos 25 x 3 mm 2 m long verticals M.S. flats, riveted to 3 nos 25 x 6 mm M.S. flat iron rings in two halves, fixing together at site with required six numbers of 8 mm dia and 30 mm long bolts, including painting two coats with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture over a coat of primer. One name plate of 1 mm thick M.S. sheet of size 250x100 mm shall be welded to the tree guard near the middle height and lettered CPWD / PWD/ any otherapproved name. The tree guard shall be suitably fixed to the ground by embedding four legs of tree guard in pits of suitable dia and to a depth of 25 cm, refilling the pits with soil and ramming, complete in all respect as per satisfaction and direction of Officer-in-charge.

Preparation of mounds of various size and shape by available excavated / supplied earth in layers not exceeding 20 cm in depth, breaking clods, watering of each layer, dressing etc., lead upto 50 meter and lift upto 1.5 m complete as per direction of Officer-in-charge.

Providing and laying Neelgiri/Mexican grass turf with earth 50mm to 60mm thickness of existing ground prepared with proper level and ramming with tools wooden (Dhurmos) and than rolling the surface with light roller make the surface smoothen and light waterning with sprinkler and maintenance for 30 days or more till the grass establish properly, as per direction of officer-in-charge.

Providing and stacking of Bottle palm of ht. 210-240 cm bottom girth 30-35 cm well developed in big HDPE bags.

Providing and stacking of Cassia siamea of height 150-165 cm. in big poly bags of size 25 cm as per direction of the officer-in-charge.
