Desilting or cleaning of existing effluent or storm water carrying drainage system (all types of section of drains) of Industrial area. The scope of work includes cleaning of drains, approaches and cross drainage works up to bed level of the drain or culvert or CD work complete in all respect to ensure the uninterrupted flow in the drainage system of Industrial Area throughout the year. The work also includes the proper disposal of Sludge or Silt or Garbage etc. and transportation of the same with all due care to a suitable ultimate disposal to a designated place or outside the Industrial area with all lead and lift, as per the direction of Engineer in-charge. The adjoining sides of the drain should be properly cleaned and dressed after removal of the Sludge or Silt or Garbage etc. Special Terms and conditions of Contract - a. The work is to be executed manually as well as by machines like Sewer Jet or Suction Machine as per requirement at site for cleaning of complete drainage system comprising of drains, approach culverts and Cross drainage works etc. and the loading of sludge shall be done neatly and carefully and disposing out of the area. b. The work of cleaning of drain shall be completed within three months from the date of work order. 40 percent payment towards the quantum of work done shall be made after complete cleaning of the drainage system i.e. after completion of first quarter. c. Remaining 60 percent payment shall be made in three equal parts in the remaining period i.e. after completion of each quarter. During the remaining period, smooth flow through the cleaned drains shall be ensured by the contractor. No extra measurement will be paid for these quarter only the measurement will be paid for the work done during the first qtr. d. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to keep the drains cleaned throughout the year. e. If the Engineer In-charge observes that the drains are not cleaned or functional at any stage continuously for a period of maximum seven (7) days, then a penalty equal to 5 percent eligible amount for that quarter shall be levied. Further, the Corporation may also recover the charges for cleaning of the drains. If the Engineer In-chargefeels that no appropriate efforts have been made by the contractor then action for rescinding the work will be initiated. f. During the period of execution of work, if the corporation finds that the work remains unsatisfactory then action for rescinding the work will be initiated. g. The contractor shall remove the covering of drains wherever required for cleaning of drain with due consent of entrepreneur at his own cost. h. The contractor shall maintain the complaint register and record the details of all the complaints received and their rectification with date of received or date of rectification and the same shall be submitted to Engineer In-charge on weekly basis. i. The feedback regarding cleaning of drains as specified in the scope of work should be duly attested by the entrepreneurs and or or office bearers of respective Industrial Association and same is to be got countersigned from the Engineer-in-charge at regular intervals as mutually decided. j. The contractor has to follow all the rules or regulations with regard to labour welfare and other laws as per rules of Govt. for which the contractor will only be responsible. k. The contractor has to start the work on as is where is basis.
