SCHEDULE C: ITEMWISE SPECIFICATIONS
Name of Item: Dismantling of Doors, Windows, Ventilators, Shutters including Chowkhats and
all Attachments
Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of carefully dismantling existing wooden or steel doors, windows, ventilators,
shutters, chowkhats, architraves, holdfasts, hinges, tower bolts, handles, locks, fastening arrangements
and all other connected accessories complete without causing damage to the adjoining masonry,
reinforced cement concrete members or finishing surfaces. The dismantling shall be carried out using
suitable tools and equipment under proper safety precautions. All serviceable materials shall be
carefully removed, cleaned and stacked at locations as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge for
departmental use, while unserviceable materials and debris shall be removed from the work site and
disposed of as directed. The item shall include cutting or loosening embedded holdfasts, making good
damaged surfaces after dismantling, cleaning the site, loading, unloading, transportation within all leads
and lifts, labour, tools and plants, scaffolding wherever required and all incidental works necessary for
satisfactory completion of the work in accordance with relevant IS Codes and the directions of the
Engineer-in-Charge.
Name of Item: Providing and fixing M.S. grills of required pattern to wooden frames of windows
etc. with M.S. flats at required spacings and frame around, square or round bars with round
headed bolts and nuts or by screws Detailed Specification:
The work shall comprise providing, fabricating, supplying, transporting, handling and
erecting M.S. structural steel work of approved quality and sections as shown on the
drawings and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. The scope shall include cutting,
straightening, drilling, punching, welding, grinding, edge preparation, fitting, shop
fabrication, trial assembly (where required), loading, unloading, hoisting, alignment,
positioning and fixing complete. The work shall also include providing and fixing all
connection materials such as base plates, gusset plates, cleats, stiffeners, anchor bolts,
holding down bolts, nuts, bolts, washers, welding electrodes and other accessories required
for complete erection. Cleaning of steel surfaces and application of one coat of approved red
oxide zinc chromate primer before erection, touch-up painting after erection, testing,
inspection, scaffolding, staging, lifting arrangements, all labour, tools, plants, consumables
and incidental works necessary for satisfactory completion shall be included.
Structural steel shall conform to IS 2062 (latest revision) or as specified in the contract
documents. Welding electrodes shall conform to IS 814. Bolts, nuts and washers shall
conform to relevant IS specifications. Primer shall be approved red oxide zinc chromate
primer conforming to relevant IS specifications. All materials shall be new, free from defects
and approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before use.
Fabrication and erection shall be carried out in accordance with IS 800, IS 801, IS 816, IS
Cutting shall be neat and accurate. Welding shall be continuous, uniform and free from cracks,
porosity and slag inclusions. All welds shall be cleaned and ground smooth wherever specified.
Members shall be erected true to line, level and plumb. Damaged primer during handling and
erection shall be repaired by applying one additional coat of primer. The completed work shall
be rigid, stable and properly aligned to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
4. Measurements
Measurement shall be made in kilograms (kg) of completed structural steel work actually
fabricated, supplied and erected in position. The weight shall be based on the theoretical weight
of approved sections as per IS 808/standard steel tables or approved fabrication drawings. The
rate shall include supply of steel, fabrication, transportation, loading, unloading, hoisting,
erection, welding, grinding, bolts, nuts, washers, welding electrodes, one coat of red oxide
primer, scaffolding, staging, tools and plants, testing, all labour and all incidental charges
required for completion of the work. No separate payment shall be made for wastage, cutting
losses, temporary supports, lifting arrangements or other incidental items.
Payment shall be made in kilograms (kg) basis.
Name of Item: Removing Old Deteriorated Plaster and Providing 15 mm Thick Internal Cement
Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of removing existing loose, cracked or deteriorated plaster of any
thickness from brick masonry, stone masonry or reinforced cement concrete surfaces using
hand tools without damaging the parent surface. All loose materials shall be completely
removed and disposed of from the work site. The exposed surface shall be thoroughly cleaned,
washed and prepared before application of fresh plaster. Thereafter, 15 mm thick cement plaster
in Cement Mortar 1:3 (one part cement and three parts clean coarse sand) shall be applied
uniformly on the prepared surface to achieve a smooth, even and true finish. The plaster shall
be properly floated, trowelled and cured continuously for not less than seven days. The work
shall include hacking where necessary, preparation of joints, scaffolding, curing, labour, tools
and plants, loading, unloading, transportation, disposal of debris and all incidental works
complete in accordance with IS 1661, IS 2402 and relevant specifications as directed by the
Engineer-in-Charge.

Name of Item: Removing Old Plaster and Providing 20 mm Thick Sand Faced Cement Plaster
Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of removing existing damaged plaster from wall or RCC surfaces
including cleaning and preparing the surface for fresh plaster. The new plaster shall comprise
20 mm thick sand-faced cement plaster consisting of a 12 mm thick backing coat in Cement
Mortar 1:3 followed by an 8 mm thick finishing coat in Cement Mortar 1:1. Approved quality
cement and clean, well-graded sand shall be used. The backing coat shall be properly
roughened to receive the finishing coat. The finished surface shall be uniform, true to line, free
from cracks, hollowness and undulations, with a neat sand-faced texture. Proper curing shall
be carried out for a minimum period of seven days. The rate shall include scaffolding, surface
preparation, curing, disposal of debris, labour, materials, tools and plants, transportation,
loading, unloading and all incidental works complete in accordance with relevant IS Codes and
directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of supplying, installing, testing and commissioning approved make 1200 mm
sweep Ceiling Fan with Brush Less Direct Current (BLDC) permanent magnet motor conforming to IS
374:2019 and BEE Five Star rating. The fan shall have three rust-proof aluminium blades, copper
wound motor, Class-B insulation, power factor not less than 0.90, minimum air delivery of 215 CMM,
service value not less than 6.85 CMM/Watt, speed approximately 350 RPM and shall operate
satisfactorily over an input voltage range of 140–285 Volts. The fan shall be complete with down rod,
shackle assembly, canopy, safety wire, remote control, electronic driver, surge protection, overload
protection, hardware and earthing arrangement. Installation shall include proper balancing, alignment,
testing for smooth vibration-free operation and satisfactory performance. The rate shall include all
materials, accessories, labour, transportation, testing and commissioning complete as directed by the
Engineer-in-Charge.
Minimum 12 months comprehensive warranty from the date of commissioning covering all parts and
replacement of defective components.
Name of Item: Supply and Erection of 18–20 Watt LED Tube Light Fittings
Detailed Specification:
a)The scope of the Contractor shall include supply and installation of equipment necessary for
a complete lighting and receptacle system. The lighting system includes Lighting fixtures
(indoor/ outdoor), lamps.
b)The various types of lighting fixtures with lamps shall be installed based on the mounting
arrangement shown in the typical drawings enclosed with the specification. Installation scope
shall include all material to mount the fixtures in proposed manner.
c)The various types of lighting fixtures as specified in this specification shall be assembled,
installed, tested & commissioned by the Contractor.
d)The type of lighting fixtures and receptacles, illumination level and approximate quantity
required shall be generally as per design criteria.
e) Lighting system installation shall be as per the tender specifications.
f) It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to work out complete detailed requirement of
lighting and receptacle system for the whole plant and staff quarters including area lighting as
per specification and accordingly procure and install them.

The work shall consist of supplying, installing, testing and commissioning indoor LED tube light
fittings having integral electronic driver, nominal wattage between 18 and 20 Watts, complete with high
efficiency LEDs mounted on MCPCB, CRCA sheet steel or die-cast aluminium housing, powder-coated
finish, polycarbonate diffuser and all fixing accessories. The fitting shall operate on 160–270 Volt AC
supply with power factor greater than 0.95, THD less than 15%, luminaire efficacy exceeding 85 lumens
per Watt and colour temperature between 3000 K and 6500 K. The fitting shall possess valid LM-79
and LM-80 certifications and conform to relevant BIS standards. Installation shall include fixing on
wall or ceiling, connection to the existing wiring system, testing, commissioning and demonstration of
satisfactory performance. The rate shall include all accessories, wiring from terminal block to fitting,
labour, tools, transportation, testing and complete installation.

Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of supplying and fixing bird protection wire mesh made from galvanized iron
wire of 0.71 mm thickness or approved equivalent, woven uniformly to prevent entry of birds while
permitting free passage of air and light. The wire mesh shall be fixed securely to window openings,
ventilators or other designated locations using galvanized clamps, screws, M.S./G.I. flats or approved
fixing arrangements. The mesh shall be stretched tightly without sagging and fixed in a neat and durable

The work shall consist of providing skilled and unskilled manpower required for lifting existing filter
media, gravel and sand from filter beds, carefully removing, segregating, transporting and disposing of
unsuitable materials, cleaning the filter bed. The work shall be carried out manually or with suitable
equipment as required without causing damage to nozzles, under-drain systems or civil structures. The
item shall include handling, loading, unloading, stacking, cleaning, transportation within all leads and
lifts, safety arrangements, supervision, labour, tools and plants and all incidental works necessary for
complete replacement of filter media for one filter bed compartment as directed by the Engineer-in-

Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of supplying approved quality silica filter sand conforming to IS 8419 having
effective size between 0.45 mm and 0.70 mm and uniformity coefficient between 1.30 and 1.70. The
filter sand shall be clean, hard, durable, chemically inert and free from clay, organic matter, mica or
other deleterious substances. The sand shall be transported to site, properly washed if required and laid
uniformly over the prepared graded gravel bed to the specified thickness as shown in the approved
drawings. The finished surface shall be level and uniform throughout the filter bed. The work shall
include supply of material, loading, unloading, transportation, stacking, spreading, levelling, labour,
tools and plants, testing of grading wherever required and all incidental works complete in accordance
with IS 8419 and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
After Providing & lying filter media necessary testing of plants must be done and if media not working
properly than agency has to remove and re supply filter media as with his own cost.

The work shall consist of providing, supplying and laying approved quality graded gravel media of
different specified sizes conforming to the approved design, drawings and relevant IS standards for
rapid gravity filter beds. The gravel shall be hard, durable, clean, rounded or crushed stone, free from
clay, dust, organic matter and other deleterious substances. The material shall be washed thoroughly
before laying and shall be placed carefully in successive graded layers of specified thickness without
disturbing the filter floor nozzles or under-drainage system. Each layer shall be levelled uniformly to
achieve the designed profile and thickness. The work shall include procurement, loading, unloading,

The work shall consist of constructing valve chambers of specified internal dimensions in brick masonry
or locally available bela stone masonry laid in Cement Mortar 1:6 over 150 mm thick Cement Concrete
1:4:8 foundation. The chamber walls shall be plastered internally with 12 mm thick Cement Mortar 1:3
to obtain a smooth watertight finish and externally pointed with Cement Mortar 1:3. The chamber shall

Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of lowering, positioning, aligning and jointing Cast Iron or Ductile Iron reflux
valves, butterfly valves, sluice valves or air valves of specified diameters in the existing or proposed
pipeline system. Installation shall be carried out carefully to ensure proper alignment with pipeline
centreline and flow direction. All joints shall be made using approved rubber gaskets, bolts, nuts,
washers and jointing materials as recommended by the manufacturer. Proper tightening sequence shall
be followed to ensure leak-proof joints without distortion. The installed valve shall be checked for
smooth operation and hydraulic testing shall be carried out under specified pressure to ensure complete
leak-proof performance. The rate shall include all labour, lifting equipment, transportation within site,
jointing materials, hydraulic testing, alignment, accessories, tools and plants and all incidental works
complete in accordance with relevant IS Codes and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Name of Item: Providing and Fixing Powder Coated Aluminium Sliding Windows with Tinted
Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of providing, fabricating and fixing powder-coated aluminium sliding windows
using approved extruded aluminium sections of specified dimensions and thickness complete with outer
frame, sliding shutters, rollers, locking arrangement, handles, weather strips, glazing beads and all
hardware. The shutters shall be glazed with 5 mm thick bronze tinted float glass fixed using approved
EPDM gaskets and transparent silicone sealant. The aluminium sections shall be colour anodized or
powder coated as specified and conform to relevant IS standards. Windows shall be fixed accurately in
position using anchor fasteners with proper sealing around the perimeter to prevent leakage. The rate
shall include fabrication, cutting, machining, glazing, transportation, installation, sealing, labour, tools
and plants and all incidental works complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Name of Item: Lowering, Laying and Jointing of 100 mm Diameter G.I. Pipe
Detailed Specification:
G.I. Pipes of 100 mm dia G.I. “C” class as indicated in the item of schedule-B and
specials shall be brought by contractor and should be get approved by the engineer-in
charge of work. The pipes shall be cleaned and tested for their soundness before they
are brought to the site of work. The jointing shall be done after the alignment and levels
are checked and certified by the in charge of work.
The rate includes the cost of jointing materials such as white sink spumyern etc. and
the cost of cutting and threading of pipes where necessary while laying pipes suitable
sections should be tested hydraulically for 1 ½ times a the working pressure and no
line should be covered till certificate by D.E.E : In absence of satisfactory hydraulic
test, 30 % amount of respective item of pipeline shall be with held from the will as per
standard practice of department.
The payment shall be made on Rmt. basis.
The work shall consist of supplying ISI marked galvanized iron pipes of medium-duty class conforming
to IS 1239 complete with threaded ends and couplings. The pipes shall be manufactured from high-
quality mild steel, uniformly galvanized both internally and externally and shall be free from
manufacturing defects. The supply shall include all taxes, insurance, inspection charges, transportation,
freight, loading, unloading and stacking at departmental stores. Each pipe shall bear manufacturer's
identification, ISI mark and class designation. The rate shall include supply of couplings, handling,
inspection, delivery and all incidental charges complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Name of Item: Providing and Casting M-350 Grade Prestressed Cement Concrete
Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of providing, mixing, placing, compacting and curing controlled M-350 grade
cement concrete for prestressed concrete superstructure components such as solid slabs, deck slabs,
main girders, diaphragms and cross girders. Approved quality cement, graded aggregates, clean sand,
potable water and approved admixtures shall be used to achieve the specified strength and durability.
Concrete shall be machine mixed, transported, placed in layers and compacted using mechanical
vibrators to eliminate voids. Proper cantering, shuttering, scaffolding and curing shall be provided. Cube
tests and quality control tests shall be carried out as per IS 456 and IS 1343. The rate shall include
batching, mixing, placing, vibration, finishing, curing, cantering, shuttering, scaffolding, transportation,
labour, tools and plants and all incidental works complete to the satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Name of Item: Providing and Laying RCC Cement Concrete (1:2:4) in Slabs, Beams, Lintels and
Similar Structural Members
Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of providing and laying reinforced cement concrete of nominal mix 1:2:4 using
one-part ordinary Portland cement, two parts clean coarse sand and four parts graded 20 mm nominal
size crushed stone aggregate for structural members such as slabs, beams, lintels, landings, balconies,
shelves and cantilever portions up to second-floor level. Concrete shall be machine mixed, transported,
placed carefully without segregation and compacted using mechanical vibrators to obtain dense and
homogeneous concrete. The exposed surfaces shall be finished smooth and true to line and level. Proper
curing shall be carried out continuously for not less than fourteen days. Reinforcement shall be
measured and paid separately. The rate shall include materials, batching, mixing, placing, vibration,
finishing, curing, shuttering (where specified), transportation, labour, tools and plants and all incidental
works complete in accordance with IS 456 and the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Name of Item: Providing Mild Steel Reinforcement for Reinforced Cement Concrete Work
Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of providing, cutting, bending, straightening, binding and placing in position
high yield strength deformed (HYSD) TMT reinforcement bars of approved grade conforming to IS
1786 for reinforced cement concrete work up to second floor level. Reinforcement shall be cut and bent
accurately as per approved Bar Bending Schedule (BBS) and structural drawings using mechanical bar
bending equipment. Bars shall be securely tied with 18 SWG annealed binding wire and maintained at
correct position using approved concrete cover blocks and spacers. Lapping, anchorage, hooks, bends
and cranks shall be provided as per IS 2502 and structural design requirements. Reinforcement shall be
cleaned of rust, oil, grease and loose scales before placing. The rate shall include cutting, bending,
binding, tying, placing, supporting, wastage within permissible limits, labour, tools and plants,
transportation, loading, unloading and all incidental works complete in accordance with IS 1786, IS
and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of supplying, installing, testing and commissioning approved make low-noise
exhaust fan having 200 mm sweep with square ABS body, inbuilt gravity louvers, corrosion-resistant
housing and suitable for continuous operation. The fan shall operate on 230 Volt, single-phase AC
supply with a speed of approximately 1350 RPM and shall conform to relevant IS standards. The fan
shall be complete with motor, mounting frame, fixing brackets, fasteners, protective grill, wiring from

1.0 SCOPE OF CONTRACT:
The contract shall be covering manufacturing, supplying and delivering of ;
Approved make or “Rotational Molded Polyethylene water storage tank.
(Cylindrical vertical type with ISI mark)
Tanks conforming to IS : 12701-1996 or its latest revision with ISI mark.
3.0 TENDER PRICE:
The tender price shall include all labour, material and machinery cost
necessitated to be utilized for;
a) Proper manufacturing of the Tanks.
b) All tests required to be undertaken at manufacturer’s premises.
c) Transportation of the tanks either by Rail and/or Road services with all the
covers duly and appropriately insured.
d) Delivery of tank with proper loading, unloading, stacking at GWSSB store as
indicated by Engineer-in-charge.
e) Further towards proper discharge of all contractual obligations. The storage of
all tanks to be manufactured, supplied and delivered under the scope of
contracts shall be in general be made as described in Technical specification
4.0 DELIVERY SCHEDULE:
The delivery schedule shall be governed by the Gujrat water supply and
sewerage Board and shall be specified in individuals supply orders.
The methods of marking all the tanks to be delivered under scope of contract
shall ensure that all the information will remain legible even after transportation
storage in open space etc. In general the legible and indelible marking upon the
goods shall indicate the marking as per IS specification. Over and above this,
marking as “GWSSB” should be marked on each tank.
6.0 PACKING AND HANDLING:
6.1 The materials shall always be packed separately dispatched from manufacturers
works with adequate protective measures to prevent damages deterioration
while in transport or stored at any place. The packing shall always be so neat
and tidy that may withstand any robust and rough handling.
6.2 When the materials are transported at railway risk, special packing as per IRCA
rules are absolutely necessary for which the extra cost, if any, shall be borne in
total by supplier only.
6.3 The supplier shall use proper handling instruments/equipment’s and shall follow
to a suitable method of handling pipes as may be approved by Engineer, while
unloading and stacking material in the stores.
7.0 MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP:
7.1 General requirements of materials and workmanship shall mean any material or
article either raw or finished one is required to be used in the manufacturing
process of tanks. All the material shall be new and of high quality.
7.3 In case, if material is not specified by relevant ISS for manufacturing part or the
whole as item, the supplier shall prepare specifications in concurrence with
manufacturer and shall seek an approval of Engineer prior to its use in the
8.0 TEST CERTIFICATE:
8.1 The supplier shall always provide manufacturer’s test certificate in accordance
with every batch/lot of goods so manufactured and supplied.
8.2 The supplier shall also produce in addition to manufacturer’s test certificate as
mentioned in para 8.1 above, the inspection certificate issued by the authorized
person/agency appointed by Engineer or Board for the same purpose.
9.0 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
Rotation Moulded polyethylene water storage tank (Cylindrical vertical type)
shall be conforming to IS 12701-1996 or its latest revision with ISI mark.
10.0 MODE OF MEASUREMENT & PAYMENT
The payment shall be made on number basis of as per relevant diameter of item
in schedule B of the tender Item is including all taxies, insurances, transportation,
freight charges, octroi, inspection charges, loading, unloading, carting to store or
site of work staking etc.

Name of Item: Providing, Fabricating and Erecting Mild Steel Structure for M.S. Door
Detailed Specification:
The work shall consist of designing, fabricating, supplying and erecting Mild Steel door complete with
frame, shutters and supporting members using approved quality M.S. angles, flats, square sections,
channels, plates and other structural members as required. Fabrication shall include accurate cutting,
drilling, welding, grinding and finishing to produce a rigid and properly aligned assembly. The
completed structure shall be cleaned thoroughly and provided with one coat of approved red oxide zinc
chromate primer followed by two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved shade unless otherwise
specified. Installation shall include fixing with anchor fasteners, grouting, embedding, plastering around
the frame, alignment, adjustments and smooth operation. The rate shall include fabrication, erection,
transportation, loading, unloading, welding consumables, labour, scaffolding, tools and plants and all
incidental works complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

standards complete with collars. The pipes shall be laid to proper alignment, line and gradient on
prepared foundation. Joints shall be made using Cement Mortar 1:2 or approved jointing material to
