CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING PLANT WORKS

Dismantling of existing water cooled type AC plant of Approx. Capacity 80TR/40TR complete with dismantling of comp. Motors, Chillers, Condensers, AHUs (01 for 40 TR, 03 for 80 TR), MS Piping, Elect cables, Heating system, Cooling towers, ductings and other controls & Accessories complete as required and shifting to MES Stores including making good the existing surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down the existing old chiller and Hot water pipe line of any make and size including with insulation complete as required and shifting to MES Stores or at a site as directed. Note for Srl Item No. 2.01 & 2.02 : (i) Any damage occurred due to dismantling of existing machinery and/ or accessories to existing surface/ part/ housing/ tiling/ floor/ surrounding hard-standing/ interlocking tiles shall be made good with repair replacement for the same shall be deemed to be included in unit rate quoted. (ii) All retrieved materials will be transported by the contractor to MES Store of GE Ludhiana E/M Store Yard or at a site at his own cost. No claim whatsoever shall be admissible on this account. Dismantling will be carried out in the presence of BOO. BOO will be convened by CWE to assess the quantum of retrieved materials obtained from dismantling and same shall be taken on charge by GE Ludhiana and kept/ entered in demolition register

Design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of water cooled Chiller plant of capacity 52 TR comprising of individual chiller capacity not less than 26 TR complete having COP minimum 4.2 at ARI conditions, equipped with intermediate discharge valve with microprocessor controller, with sealed multiple scroll compressors, with suitable TEFC motor, water cooled condenser, evaporator, suction, discharge shut off valves, pressure switches, refrigerant piping, base frame, insulation, controls, vibration isolators, automatic capacity control systems, oil pump, drive package, strainers and refrigerant throttling device to suit the chiller complete all as specified and directed (Design parameters and other misc details shall be as per layout plan of AC plant No 1 on Srl Page No. 24(C)). Note: The capacity of water chilling package unit/plant shall not be less than 52TR at the following specified conditions. Chilled water inlet temperature: 54°F, Chilled water outlet temperature: 44 ° F, Condenser water inlet temperature: 85 ° F, Condenser water outlet temperature: 95°F, Evaporator fouling factor: 0.0001 Sq ft Hr °F/Btu in FPS units, Condenser fouling factor: 0.00025 Sq ft Hr °F/Btu in FPS units. (a) Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of factory fabricated Double Skin Chilled Water as well as hot water Air- handling unit cap to suit the tonnage of chiller plant output fabricated to suit existing AHU room out of extruded aluminium section consisting with 0.8 mm preplasticized/ pre-coated Galvanised steel sheet outside & 0.8 mm plain galvanised steel sheet inside with blower, blower section and Blower shall be DIDW Backward Curved/ Airofoil type blade from and blower motor TEFC type , Multi Row deep cooling/heating coil made of Aluminium finned Copper tube with coil section, pre - filter section with non woven synthetic media of 10 micron particle size with an efficiency of 90%, stainless steel drain pan made out of 18 G sheet duly insulated complete with motor and belt drive package etc. The AHU panels shall be insulated with 40 mm thick & 38 Kg/m³ density PU foam. The motor & blower assembly shall be mounted on Aluminium extruded section only. The complete AHU shall conform to standard specification and as per design approved. . (b) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of monoblock centrifugal pump set with mechanical seal for chilled water (2 Working and 1 Standby) and Hot water (1 Working & 1 Standby) (Total 5 Nos) as well as hot water circulation including energy efficient motor,mechanical seal, baseframe, insulation, foundation bolts, etc., all as specified and/or directed etc.,complete. Discharge: 120 USGPM, Total Head: 18 mtrs. Note: The PCC foundation/bed provided for installation of pumps as per design shall be deemed to be included in unit rate quoted.

(c) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of monoblock centrifugal pump set for condenser water circulation including energy efficient motor, mechanical seal, base frame, foundation bolts etc., all as specified and/or directed etc., complete. (2 working and 1stand by)-Total03 Nos, Total Head : 30 Mtr and Discharge : 150 US GPM. Note: The PCC foundation/bed provided for installation of pumps shall be deemed to be included in unit rate quoted. (d) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of induced draft,cross flow or counter flow type, FRP 60 TR cooling tower suitable to flow 4 US GPM/TR of water and guranteed to cool the water from 100°F to 90°F at the design ambient wet bulb temperature of 83°F and the cooling tower shall be complete with casing, hot water distribution system, fill, intake louver/drift eliminator(as applicable), fan assembly with fan & motor, FRP cold water water basin,aluminium ladder with railing,belt drive,safety guard, suction tank with brass strainer, basin fittings viz., make up ,quick fill, drain, over flow etc., all as specified and directed etc., complete. Note:1) The concrete pedestal/bed required for installation of cooling towers shall be deemed to be included in unit rate quoted. Make :- Advance / Paharpur / Delta / Mihir

(e) PVC make up water tank 5000 Ltr capacity including necessary RCC foundation, as per design approved float valve and pipe connections for cooling tower all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Quoted rates shall inclusive of suitable RCC foundation,staging/platform as per site requirement/desin approved. (f) PVC expansion tank 500 ltrs capacity insulated with 50mm thick EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) slab covered with Vapour Barrier, Chicken Wire Mesh and Finished with sand cement plaster with overflow valve, float valve as specified by Engineer-in-charge.

(g) Design, Supply, erection testing and commissioning of electric hot water generator of capacity 35KW vertical tubular shell type fabricated from M.S. sheet of suitable thickness with welded joints and shall be tested for working pressure of 21Kg/CM2 complete with sheathed tubler electric resistance type heater element with 3 step capacity control, control panel with internal wiring, safety controls, thermostat, IN and OUT connection, drain connection at the bottom, water flow switch and interlocking with control panel, 50mm thick fiber insulation and coverd with 1mm thick aluminium cladding. The unit shall be mounted on PCC base frame as per design approved.. Make:-Rapidcool/KEPL or equivalent as per design approved

(h) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of MS pipes of 100 mm dia, Heavy Grade, (Class 'C') with fittings, wooden or nitrile rubber saddle (saddle to be laid between pipes and supports) for chilled water as well as hot water pipeline support for condenser water including support with all welded/flanged joints complete all as specified and directed etc. complete-01 Lot.

(i) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of MS pipes of 80 mm dia, Heavy Grade, (Class 'C') with fittings, wooden or nitrile rubber saddle (saddle to be laid between pipes and supports) for chilled water as well as hot water (seperate lines for chilled water & hot water to be laid) pipeline with 32mm thick nitrile rubber insulation pasted with suitable adhesive wrapped with fibre cloth and finally coated with minimum 03 coats of encoat paint including supports with all welded/flanged joints complete all as specified and directed-01 Lot.

(j) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of MS pipes of 65/50 mm dia, Heavy Grade, (Class 'C') with fittings, wooden or nitrile rubber saddle (saddle to be laid between pipes and supports) for chilled water/Hot water pipeline with 32mm thick nitrile rubber insulation pasted with suitable adhesive wrapped with fibre cloth and finally coated with minimum 03 coats of encoat paint including supports with all welded/flanged joints all as specified and/or directed etc. complete-01 Lot. Note for item No 2.03 (h), (i) & (j) : 1) The unit rate to be quoted for the pipes shall deemed to be included the cost of MS supports. The MS supports provided for the pipes will not be measured and paid separately. 2) The masonry/cement concrete supports provided for the pipes if any, shall be deemed to be included in unit rate quoted. 3) Contractors are advised to check/visit the site for exact qty of pipe lines with prior appointment from GE Ludhiana. 4) Separate lines to be fixed/ laid/ installed for hot water and chilled water pipelines.

Note : The overall capacity of water chilling package unit/ AC Plant shall not be less than 78 TR at the following specified conditions. (c) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of monoblock centrifugal pump set for condenser water circulation including energy efficient motor, mechanical seal, base frame, foundation bolts etc., all as specified and/or directed etc., complete. (2 working and 1 stand by) Total Head: 30 Mtr and Discharge : 240 US GPM Qty 03 Nos. (d) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of induced draft,cross flow or counter flow type, FRP 100 TR cooling tower suitable to flow 4 US GPM/TR of water and guranteed to cool the water from 100 ° F to 90 ° F at the design ambient wet bulb temperature of 83 ° F and the cooling tower shall be complete with casing,hot water distribution system, fill, intake louver/drift eliminator (as applicable), fan assembly with fan & motor, FRP cold water water basin,aluminium ladder with railing, belt drive, safety guard, suction tank with brass strainer, basin fittings viz., make up, quick fill, drain, over flow etc Complete all as specified and directed Note : The concrete pedestal/bed required for installation of cooling towers shall be deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (g) Design, Supply, erection testing and commissioning of electric hot water generator of capacity 63KW vertical tubular shell type fabricated from M.S. sheet of suitable thickness with welded joint and shall be tested for working pressure of 21Kg/CM2 complete with sheathed tubular electric resistance type heater element with 3 step capacity control, control panel with internal wiring, safety controls, thermostat, IN and OUT connection, drain connection at the bottom, water flow switch and interlocking with control panel, 50mm thick fiber insulation and coverd with 1mm thick aluminium cladding. (h) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of MS pipes of 100 mm dia, Heavy Grade, (Class 'C') with fittings, wooden or nitrile rubber saddle (saddle to be laid between pipes and supports) for chilled water as well as hot water pipeline with 32 mm thick nitrile rubber insulation pasted with suitable adhesive wrapped with fibre cloth and finally coated with minimum 03 coats of encoat paint including supports with all welded/flanged joints complete all as specified and directed - Qty 01 Lot for 03 Nos AHUs as per site/ design requirement. (h1) Supply erection testing and commissioning of MS pipes of 125mm dia, Heavy Grade, (Class 'C') with fittings, wooden or nitrile rubber sadle (saddle to be laid between pipes and supports) for condenser water including supports, with all welded/ flanged joints complete all as specified and directed-01 Lot for 03 AHUs as per design approved.

(i) Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of MS pipes of 80 mm dia, Heavy Grade, (Class 'C') with fittings, wooden or nitrile rubber saddle (saddle to be laid between pipes and supports) for chilled water as well as hot water pipeline (Seprate lines for chilled water as well as hot water to be laid) with 32 mm thick nitrile rubber insulation pasted with suitable adhesive wrapped with fibre cloth and finally coated with minimum 03 coats of encoat paint including supports with all welded/flanged joints complete all as specified and directed - Qty 01 Lot for 03 Nos AHUs as per site/ design requirement. Notes for Srl Item No 2.03 to 2.06:- The following works are deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted. a) All works which are required to achieve desired inside conditioning the cost of all items deemed to be included in the work. b) Civil work such as provision of new foundation in PCC 1:3:6 C-1 type for chiller unit, cooling tower, Motors, Excavation, returning filling, removal, sand cushioning, bricks protection for cable laying outside the AC plants etc - Qty as required. c) Rubber expansion joints of suitable sizes d) All the miscellaneous items required for satisfactory completion of work such as flexible canvass connection at unit, small control valves etc. as directed and as per standard engineering practice. e) The contractor has to visit the site and submit the details of plants or any other comments/changes to the specifications mentioned above to achieve the above design conditions before bid submission. The cost is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. f) The contractor shall submit the detailed drawing for duct layout with sizes, piping, layout etc and equipment details for approval of GE before placing any order to the manufacturer. g) All other makes which are not mentioned in tender shall be ISI marked. (h) Details of items/ tonnage of AC plant as given above are only indicative/ tentative, vender shall ensure proper design of AC plant duly approved by IIT/ NIT as per latest engineer practice based on buildings drawings (showing air conditioned space) and include all accessories essentially required (j) Design of AC plant with complete heat load calculation/ ducting/ AHU/ other details duly approved by IIT/NIT shall be submitted for approval of Accepting Officer not later than one month of acceptance of contract (k) Capacity of AC plant may vary as per actual design. (l) The contractor shall submit the complete design alongwith all connected documents, design parameter by the OEM duly approved by NIT/ any Govt Engineering College for final approval of accepting officer. (m) The distance shown in layout plan are provisional and the contractor shall verify the same at site with prior permission of GE Ludhiana to assess his rates before quoting the bid. The cost is deemed to be included in quoted rate. No extra cost to the contractor shall be admissible on this account.

Material & labour earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 6mm thick buried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 metre below ground level with top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 metre below ground level, earth plate surrounded by 15cm thick and packed with layers of charcoal dust and common salt, earth electrode GI strip 32 x 6mm connected to GI earth plate electrode by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron and thimbles and other end of earth strip connected to test point and protected by galvanized iron light grade 50mm bore and GI pipe 20mm bore light grade with funnel and wire mesh for watering including necessary excavation and earth works. DG Sets Works :-

Dismantling of existing DG sets of capacity 200/75 KVA from its position and Keeping /depositing or proper stacking in the MES store yard or at given site complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, Install, commissioning and testing complete silent Diesel Engine driven generating set capable of delivering 200KVA/160 KW or next higher capacity as available/manufactured 415 volts (AC 3 phase, 4 wire system of supply) 50 HZ at power factor 0.8 minimum. The DG set shall consist of a diesel engine coupled directely to alternator, of matching capacity as recommended by the manufacturer on a common base frame and therafter installed in the CPCB approved acoustic enclosure. (The complete set conforming to and test certificates as per CPCB norms and as specified) all as specified complete including AMF control panel (specifications of same are listed at end of item) with MCCB, 4 pole of suitable rating and other standard fittings, fixtures as per manufacturer's design, fuel tank with mounting arrangement and inlet, outlet, return fuel pipe arrangement, exhaust pipe with flexible coupling complete and shall comprise with the following :-

(a) Engine (Prime Mover) Diesel engine 1500 RPM of suitable BHP as per manufacture's design, Turbo charged water cooled, self starter 12 volt battery start, complete with fly wheel and all standard fittings/fixtures as per maufacturers design including suitable engine control panel/dash board with RPM cum KWH meter, oil temperture meter, oil presure gauge, water temp gauge and frequency meter (digital type including safety automatic shut down in case of fault detection such as high water temperature, low oil pressure, over speed and also including self starter, alternator, cogged V. Belt, fuel tank of capacity for 12 Hrs running with first fill of lub oil and coolant etc.

(b) Alternator :- Alternator AC alternator, 3 phase, 415 volts, 4 wire rated line current for output 200 KVA, PF 0.8, 1500 RPM of suitable insulation class enclosure/SPDP self excited, self regulated brushes, complete with AVR with +1% voltage regulation directly coupled to and match the above engine. (c) Anti vibration pads for mounting engine and alternater assembly on the base frame/plate or as recommended/provded by the manufacturers. (d) Base plate :- Made out of structural steel as per manufacturer's recommended design/specifications

(e) Acoustic enclosure :- Provision of an integral type approved/certified acoustic enclosure (make of enclosure as authorised by the manufacturer's of DG sets and shall be complete as per CPCB norms for the DG sets to restrict the noise level to 75 DBA at one meter distance and temp rise within canopy shall not exceed 7 degree centigrade beyond ambient temp provided with one light point inside enclosure with lamp. It shall be made out of 16 SWG or manufacturer's standard norms CRCA sheet with powder coated finish on outside and provided with non igniting fire retardant foam as acoustic material. The doors & glass window shall be as per manufacturer's design (f) Two Nos 12V x 150 AH maintenace free batteries or (As recommended by manufacturer's)

(f) Supply and fixing AUTO MAIN FAILURE (AMF) CONTROL PANEL : Changover switch outdoor type made out of CRCA sheet of 3 mm thick totally enclosed double door type, dust and vermin proof with front and rear opening, duly painted, 415 volts, 3 phase, 4 wire, AC 50 Hz having aluminium bus bar of capacity as required to carry current at minimum 110% load of 82.5 KVA DG Set with three phase and neutral colour coded, prewired all as per standard practice and as recommended by DG set manufacturer specifications with the following accessories:-

(g) One Nos 12V x 150 AH maintenace free batteries or (As recommended by manufacturer's) (h) The base frame shall be of ISMC as per manufacturer's design. It shall also include the following :- (i) Silencer : Residential and exhaust pipe extending to about 2 metres outside the DG set (ii) Internal wiring with PVC insulated stranded, ISI marked, FRLS type of suitable size with copper lugs, thimbles etc. (iii) Fuel tank complete as per manufacturer's design of capacity 12 hours running (minimum) complete with fuel gauge with fuel pipes etc. Notes for Srl item No. 3.02 & 3.03 :- (i) Catalogues operation and maintenace manual, spare parts list overhauling manual sets shalI also be supplied within cost quoted . (ii) Maintenance chart and manufacturer's instruction shall be supplied by with the quoted cost. (iii) Quoted amount shall be inclusive of foundation for mounting of DG set shall be made as per manufacturer design of 30 cms height (minimum) from natural ground level with in overall quoted cost. (iv) Pre-commissioning test shall be carried out by Rep of accepting officer, all testing equipments fuel and other material shall be arranged by the contractor within overall quoted cost. (v) Complete DG set shall be installed either direct by the manufacturer or its authorized Dealer rep. and a certificate in this regard shall be submitted by the contractor to the Engr-in-charge.

Supplying, laying, jointing and testing XLPE insulated, armoured, electric cables (heavy duty) with aluminium conductor, 1100 volts, grade cross sectional area 240 sqmm 3½ core confirming to IS: 7098-1985 laid in trenches, in floor, in duct, through pipes or along the pole complete all as specified and directed. Note : Excavation, earth work, sand cushing and brick work shall be measured and paid separately under respective items

All as per item No. 3.04 above but 400Sqmm 3.5 core

Material and labour for galvanised steel pipe light grade ISI marked 100mm nominal bore dia for passing of cable fixed to poles/ walls/ laid under floor/ roads complete with and including fittings as required complete all as specified and directed .

Material and labour for sand cushioning with a layer of fine sand 8 cm thick before laying of cable and 15 cm thick after laying of cable in trenches complete all as specified and directed. Notes: (i) Excavation and earth work to be measured and paid for separately (ii) Thickness of 18 cms after punning shall be considered for payment.

Material and labour for old size sub class ‘B’ bricks laid flat in trenches over the cable with length of brick perpendicular to the direction of cable, adjacent/ abutting each other, complete all as specified and directed. Note: Excavation and earth work to be measured and paid for separately.

Earthwork and excavation works :-

Excavating in trenches in soft/ loose soil not exceeding 1.50 m wide and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth for foundation for pipes, walls, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, cables etc not exceeding 10 Sqm on plan and not exceeding 1.50 m in depth and getting out complete all as specified.

Returning, filling in, spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick each complete all as specified.

Removal of excavated spoil to a distance not exc. 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exc. 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified.
