Annual Maintenance Rate Contract for Water Sprinklers and Pipelines of Mechanical Dust Suppression System(MDSS) of VPA

Maintenance of sprinklers and associated items at S4 pump house, NH Yard pump house, L9 pump house, WQ-7&8and WOB pump house areas by deploying the following staff in general shifts 1. Supervisors - 1 2. Fitters - 4 3. Helpers – 5 As per the detailed scope of work at Annexure-A by arranging required tools and tackles as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. NOTE: Required stores/ spares shall be supplied by the VPA except tools and tackles. Supply and fabrication of steel required for maintaining the water pipe lines and structures of MDSS duly painting with one coat of zinc rich epoxy primer paint complete as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Removing of deteriorated /rusted/damaged CI/GI/MS pipes of dia 50 mm to 300 mm with its supports by cutting the required length (including dewatering) without damage to the surroundings and handing over the retrieved materials to the section / General stores complete with labour, tools, tackles and transportation as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Removing of deteriorated /rusted/damaged HDPE pipes of dia 50mm to 300mm with its supports (including dewatering) without damage to the surroundings and handing over the retrieved materials to the section / General stores complete with labour, tools, tackles and transportation as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge

Fixing, laying, clamping of required length of following CI/GI/MS pipes in place of removed pipe (mentioned at item no:02)/ new provision in existing trench/wall/outside open area/ drains/ sprinklers etc. with clamps by making necessary welding, packing, flanges etc including arresting the water leakages and wrapping coat if any complete with all labour, tools, tackles and transportation as with its supports by cutting the required length (including dewatering) without damage to the surroundings and handing over the retrieved materials to the section / General stores complete with labour, tools, tackles and transportation as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. (NOTE: Required CI/GI/MS pipes will be issued by VPA at free of cost)

Fixing, laying, clamping of required length of following HDPE pipes in place of removed pipe (mentioned at item no:03)/ new provision by jointing (butt fusion welding) with required adhesive, adapters etc, including arresting of water leakages if any complete with labour, tools, tackles and transportation as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 100mm to 300 mm dia pipes

Supply and fixing/ laying of required length of following new heavy duty MS pipe by making necessary welding, cutting in the existing trench/ wall/ outside open area / drains/ on pedestal / supports etc including supply of required HT fasteners/ gaskets/ adopters/ flanges/ wrapping coat etc complete with all labour, tools, tackles and transportation as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Arrest of water leakages of existing GI/CI/MS pipe in trench/ wall/ outside open area/ drains/ dewatering/ sprinklers etc approximate area upto 2 sft area complete with all labour, tools, tackles and transportation as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge duly chipping, welding, cutting etc for the following sizes of pipes. 80mm to 300 mm dia pipes

Excavation of trenches of required width for removing/ laying of GI pipes, cables, poles etc including dressing of sides, ramming of bottoms to suitable depth including getting out the excavated soil and returning the soil including consolidating each deposit layer by ramming, watering etc and disposing off surplus excavated soil as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and complete all labour and materials.

Supply and providing of RCC (1:2:4) PCC 1:3:6 with 20 mm graded granite as coarse aggregate and river sand as fine aggregate(220 Kgs of cement per M3 of finished concrete) including mixing, depositing in position, tamping, finishing and curing for base concreting road, cutting, coping etc, as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and complete all labour and materials.

Providing flange joint at the end of existing HDPE/ MS pipeline of size 12”/10”/8”/6” in trench/ wall/ outside open area/ drain by jointing with butt fusion welding, adhesive, necessary specials such as collar, HT fasteners and gasket complete with all materials, labour, tools and tackles as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Fixing of the pressure gauges to the pump sets at suction and delivery pipelines by making necessary pocket, threading and fixing with all required men, tools and tackles as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge NOTE: Necessary pressure gauges shall be issued by VPA at free of cost for fixing.

Arrest of water leakages of serviceable existing HDPE pipe in existing trench / wall / outside open area/ drains/ sprinklers etc, with butt fusion welding, adhesive etc for the following sizes of pipes complete with all labour, tools and tackles as required and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. 100mm to 300 mm dia pipes

Painting one coat on old iron work with synthetic enamel paint of approved colours and shade except white enamel paint over one coat of red oxide (anti-corrosive) paint including the surface and scrapping the surface wherever required etc., as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, complete with all labour and material.
