Taking down carefully old existing street light fitting (conventional) from pole without damaging the fittings and depossited to MES Store yard to kept in safe custody complete all as specified.

Disconnecting & taking out defective under ground LT cable from trenches, pole, pipe, floor ,wall etc including bricks ,GI pipes and removing from work site of unserviceable material and keep serviceable material for reuse in safe custody for any size complete as directed (Excavation/earth work shall be measured & paid separately under relevant item of this schedule)

Excavating in trenches, not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth for laying of cables, pipes etc. and getting out including trimming the sides and forming bottom surfaces to required levels in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, and well ramming in layer not exceeding 25 cm thick in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material ( soils) not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified.

Material and labour for river sand, washed and screened dry for cushioning to under ground cable in trenches below and around under ground cable including spreading and levelling complete as specified and directed . Note :- Punned thickness shall only be considered for payment

Labour only for repairing of the street light fittings on pole or building / High mast light fittings (any height ) / garden lights / gate lights/ water proof flood light fittings etc by replacing the spares and refixing back its original position as given below:- Note : (i) The measurement of payment shall be made as per actual replacement of accessories, no extra cost will be paid to the contractor for T&P and tradesmen as required. (ii) Taking down the fitting as required for maintenance for cleaning or minor repairs such as tightening screw for loose connection, burnt wires , holders etc. and the cost of the same is deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (iii) The contractor shall depute one electrician and two helper on all working days in MES complaint cell for attending the complaint regarding the street light. All street light spares as given below shall be supply & replace as directed by Engineer-in-Charge . (iv) The components / parts like driver/ sensor /protector/ PVC insulated cable / acrylic cover for above fittings required to be replaced will be measured and paid separately under respective item of Sch ‘A’ as supply only. (v) Inventory of all defective parts required to be replaced will be recorded in a separate register alongwith pole No & location / area and type of light fittings before replacement duly signed by JE, Engineer-In-Charge & contractor and the same shall be produced as and when desired for verification.

Material and labour for earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 3.15mm thick, burried directly in ground to a depth not less than 2.25 metres deep below ground level with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level surrounded with adequate quantity of charcoal dust mixed with salt to a packed thickness of 15 cm all around the plate, using copper strip 20 x 3 mm as earth strip electrode bolted or rivetted to earth plate at one end and connected to equipments at another end, GI earth strip encased in and including 40 mm dia GI 'light grade' pipe from upper end of earth plate upto equipments,20 dia bore GI pipe 'light grade' as water pipe from earth chamber to upper edge of earth plate, Test point , GI funnel with wire mesh fixed on water pipe and PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) as in pit chamber and RCC pit cover 50mm thick precast RCC 1:2:4 type B-1, duly reinforced with MS round bars 6mm dia @ 100 c/c both ways with 10mm dia MS round bar as in lifting handles, excavation, earth work including laying the GI pipe concealed in floor/wall all as described in electric plate of SSR Part I complete all as specified and directed and testing on completion. Note :- If the desired earth resistance is not found, earthing shall be redone by the contractor at no extra cost to the department.
