Obtaining In-Principal and Final approval for the forest land diversions as per Forest Conservation Act 1980 alongwith necessary wildlife clearance under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972 for Damanganga Vaitarna Godavari River Linking Project Tal Mok

Obtaining Stage-I (In-Principle) and Stage-II (Final) approval for diversion of forest land under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, and the Rules and Guidelines issued thereunder, for the Damanganga–Vaitarna–Godavari River Linking Project, Ta. Mokhada, Dist. Palghar, including carrying out detailed surveys for demarcation and assessment of forest land proposed for diversion; preparation of GPS survey, geo-referenced maps, KML files and other digital data; collection and compilation of revenue and forest maps, land records, certificates, and statutory documents; obtaining Gram Sabha resolutions wherever applicable; enumeration of trees and preparation of tree-felling statements; identification and survey of suitable non-forest land for Compensatory Afforestation (CA); preparation of Compensatory Afforestation Scheme, Catchment Area Treatment (CAT) Plan, Soil & Moisture Conservation Plan and other mitigation plans as required; preparation and submission of complete forest diversion proposals through the PARIVESH portal; obtaining all necessary approvals and recommendations from the Revenue Department, Forest Department and other statutory authorities; liaison and follow-up with the Divisional Forest Officer, Chief Conservator of Forests, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, State Forest Department, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India; preparation of replies, compliances, presentations and additional information sought by the authorities; obtaining necessary wildlife clearance under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972, including preparation and submission of proposals for State Board for Wildlife (SBWL) and National Board for Wildlife (NBWL), wherever applicable; obtaining biodiversity clearance, if required, from the competent authority; and securing Stage-I and Stage-II Forest Clearance together with all statutory approvals complete in all respects, including all surveys, documentation, liaison, follow-up, presentations, travel, incidental expenses and all other charges etc. complete as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
