REFILLING OF EARTHWORK, BLAST PENS WITH CONNECTING WORK AND CERTAIN B/R WORKS IN TECH AREA AT AF STN AMBALA UNDER GE (AF) AMBALA

M & L for Forming embankments including raising earth raising from base, spreading in layers not exceeding 30cm thick, watering, ramming / rolling and finishing to required size, shape, etc of the following heights as mentioned in BOQ srl item NO. 2.00 to 4.00 shall be approved by Engineer-in-Charge.. complete all as specified and as directed for the following levels Note: The earth/soil to be brought from out side of the MOD land . shall be approved by Engineer-in-charge

Height not exceeding 1.5m, complete all as specified and as directed.

Height exceeding 1.5m but not exceeding 4.5m, complete all as specified and directed.

Height exceeding 4.5m but not exceeding 6m, complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparation of old or previously treated surfaces of RCC / Stone / Concrete / brick walls/ Asbestos Cement Sheet or plastered surfaces and applying one coat of exterior acrylic emulsion paint in camouflaging pattern of any shape and any size complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge, Note: Sample of camouflage pattern to be approved as per the user requirement by GE. Pattern of camouflaging will be provided by user.

M&L for preparation of plastered or unplastered surfaces of walls and applying one coats of distemper oil emulsion on old surfaces upto any height including necessary scaffolding as required, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for one coat of synthetic enamel paint on old painted steel surfaces as in walls / roof trusses/purlins/rafters/angle iron posts etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Cleaning out of all the walls and floors of SWTs from the algae, vegetation including draining out of water and the like by suitable means and making good the disturbed surfaces where ever required including material and labour complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for water proofing treatment to SWT Walls/Concrete floor as under :- (a) Making staging/scaffolding as per site requirement. ( b) Removing of loose concrete and existing plaster from the surface of SWTs. ( c) Chipping the entire surface to make roughen to receive the gunite. (d) fixing the additional reinforcement bars where the steel bars are rusted if reqd.. (e) Applying of 50mm thick average guniting with CM 1:3.5 (1 cement : 3.5 course) sand with mixing of water proofing epoxy compound. (f) Curing the gunited surface for 7 days and removing all the scaffolding etc complete all as specified and as directed

Cleaning of dust Removal of all loose existing bituminous material manually and with heat torch gun to get smooth plain finished surface including removing of vegetation/plantation with no loose material on surface. Repair all joints and cracks with Highly elastic Bituminous cold applied putty of Tarplastic having penetration after setting upto 8mm. Levelling of surface to give proper slope will be done as per site requirements with Shalipatch or equivalent make of approved by GE cold applied, Bituminous Mortar & Cold Emulsion cum waterproofing Liquid of Shalikote-T-10 or equivalent make of approved by GE, Created SSD condition on surface with water. Prime the surface with Tarfelt LM or equivalent make of approved by GE mixed with portable water in the ration of 1 :1 and apply @400gm per Sqm (As per Surface Conditions). . Apply first coat of Tarfelt LM or equivalent make of approved by GE having elongation 200% conforming to ASTM-C-412 & having crack bridging of 8mm confirming to ASTM-C-836 with tensile strength after 7 days 0.50 mm conforming to ASTM-C-412 with no diluation of water on primed surface while the surface is still tacky with consumption of 700gm per Sqm. . Lay Geotex of 45 GSM/ Fibre mesh simultaneously and paste it properly with overlap of 50mm. . Allow the first coat to dry for 10 to 12 Hrs. . Apply 2nd coat on cured first coat with consumption @ 700gm per Sqm in opposite direction of first coat by Brush or Roller. . Allow it to dry for 10-12 hrs after apply 3rd coat with consumption @ 700gm per Sqm.Ensure final curing time of 36 hrs before allowing/ carrying out any further work. Conduct ponding test after min 7 day applying two coats of U V Resistant Elastomeric Exterior Acrylic Weather resistant water proof coating of Shalicryl-215 or equivalent make of approved by GE having elongation of 300% after curing of 14 days confirming to ASTM D- 6083-- for U V Protection of Bituminous Elastomeric Acrylic Emulsified Liquid Membranc of Tarfelt LM or equivalent make of approved by GE to give long life and prevent its deterioration from sunlight. Note:- Application of water proofing treatment will be done by Authorised Applicator only.
