Track Maintenance Works for the section Aluva to Petta and Muttom Depot

SCHEDULE A - Track Works for regular Maintenance

Greasing of ERC duly taking out ERC from the MCI inserts without damaging the sleepers cleaning the ER clips, eyes of the MCI inserts, removing any debris or rusted materials from the both sides of MCI inserts using wire brush and emery paper, removing the liners without damaging the rail/sleepers removing all scale, rust and deposits at liner seat preparing the surface of ERC for application of contractor's Grease Graphite (IS-408-1981 Grease No.O) on central leg of the ERC on rail on liner seat area & underneath of liner and smearing the eyes of the MCI inserts with the same grease and driving back the greased ERC back including fixing of liner to correct gauge and alignment with all contractors labour, tools and plants and consumables etc complete as directed by the Engineer in charge at site. Grease shall be supplied to KMRL and will be issued for day-to-day works.

Lubrication of Plate/Rail screws of Points and crossings in Muttom Depot, including removal of plate/rail screw carefully without breaking the screw, cleaning with wire brush etc both screws and dowel hole applying contractor's Grease Grafite (IS-408-1981 Grease No.O), refixing the screw with spring washer and sealing the top and sides of screw grease graphite to prevent ingress of moisture and corrosion with contractors labour, tools all lead and lift complete. Grease shall be supplied to KMRL and will be issued for day-to-day works.

Through packing of PSC sleeper in ballasted track as per the procedure mentioned in IRPWM by using Contractors labour tools & plants,Equipments etc.including lifting of the track wherever required to the original or suitable level as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Through packing of 1 in 7 Standard Guage turnout in ballasted track as per the procedure mentioned in IRPWM by using contractors labour tools & plants,equipments etc.including lifting of the track wherever required to the original or suitable level as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Through packing of Scissor X over 1 in 7 for 4500m in ballasted track centres for SG track as per the procedure mentioned in IRPWM by using contractors labour tools & plants,equipments etc.including lifting of the track wherever required to the original or suitable level as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Uprooting weeds on or from depot track surroundings as well as ballast slopes after loosening surface by raking

Supply of 50mm machine crushed stone ballast as per specifications for track ballast, stacking at MUTTOM DEPOT at locations and in quantities as ordered by the Engineer - in - charge and stacking for measurement with contractor's own labour, tools and plants, lead, lift, track crossing, seignorage / royalty charges, taxes, duties etc., complete and as directed by the Engineer - in - charge.

Conveying and laying of ballast in plain Tracks and turnouts under traffic condition with PTW and power Block duly transporting the ballast by road lorry and dumping in the nearest loadable points and loading into dip lorry and leading and dumping at required places as directed by the engineer in charge.Ballast to be takn from stack will be supplied free of cost by KMRL within 1 KM lead from the site of work.

Cleaning the Viaduct between Aluva to Petta including Ramp D Exit & D Entry lines, duly cleaning the viaduct bottom plan area & walkway between hand rails all around the track plinth duly sweeping and disposing the sweepings including chipping off left over concrete if any to a neat and tidy manner including all labour, material, fuel, tools, plants and machinery, lead lift etc. All sweepings are to be brought down and disposed by the contractors own methodology for which no seperate paymnet will be eligible. No seperate payment will be given for cleaning stations & I-Girder areas and turnout portions.

Lubrication of gauge face of rails/ check rails on sharp curves, cross overs, points & crossings and turn-in curves with contractor'sGrease Graphite (IS-408-1981 Grease No.O) of approved quality. Grease shall be supplied to KMRL and will be issued for day-to-day works.

SCHEDULE B - Track Works Incidental to Maintenance Items

Removing of defective rail/welds, in ALUVA-PETTA section duly engaging a welding team. The work shall be carried out as per KMRL track maintenance manual, ATweld manual, USFD manual, method statement submitted by the contractor and as directed by the engineer-in -charge. The rate is inclusive of all lead, lift, weld, associated works, etc. complte in all respect.

De-stressing of 60kg 880/1080 grade LWR/CWR track by duly removing the fastening , lifting and placing the rails on rollers and (as per the procedure laid down in the Indian Railway LWR Manual ) lowering the rails fittings either released or new fastenings correctly to maintain the uniform gauge alignment with or without rail tensor and contractors consumable stores, labours, etc at the location as identified by the Engineer-in-charge

De-stressing of the track on viaduct of 60kg 880/1080 grade LWR/CWR track by duly removing the fastening , lifting and placing the rails on rollers and (as per the procedure laid down in the Indian Railway LWR Manual ) lowering the rails fittings either released or new fastenings correctly to maintain the uniform gauge alignment with or without rail tensor and contractors consumable stores, labours, etc at the location as identified by the Engineer-in-charge

Removing the existing 60 kg 880/1080 grade broken/unserviceable Points and Crossing PSC sleepers with all fittings and fastenings and keeping away at site of work without causing any infringment to the running lines and replacing with 60 kg 60kg 880/1080 grade CMS Points and Crossings(1 in 7 or 1 in 9) PSC sleepers with all fittings and fixing the same with elastic fastenings with special liner to suit the 60kg sleeper to 60 kg 880/1080 grade rails, gauging, levelling, aligning, kutcha packing and boxing of ballast to profile as directed by the Engineer in charge. (All labour, materials, tools and plants are to be supplied by the tenderer/ contractor only at his own cost)

PSC sleeper renewal by using contractors tools and plants including leading and trucking in and out

SCHEDULE C - Manpower Supply

Providing BLACKSMITH with KHALASI on demand to attend failures or systematic maintainence of track. The blacksmith team should be equiped with own necessary equipments like gas cutting equipments, grinding tools, spanners, jim crow, crow bars etc. as directed by Engineer in charge of the work

Arranging semi-skilled labourers for daily routine maintainence as directed with necessary tools and equipments arranged by the contractor.

Arranging painter for painting and lettering sleepers, curve markings, turnout marking, plinth marking, boundary pillars/marks, viaduct pier numbering etc. as as directed by Engineer in charge of the work
