General Notes: 1) Only sieved river sand/crushed stone sand confirming to Zone-II from Godavari river or Varaha river or Vamsadhara river or Sarada river or Nagavali river / Crushed stone sand shall be used as fine aggregate and Graded hard broken granite metal of 3 stage (VSI) material shall be used as coarse aggregate in relevant items. Specification for fine and coarse aggregate shall confirm to IS:383 (latest revision) 2) The make/model/brand for all the BOQ items shall be as per suggestive makes of Annexure-B of Section-VII of the tender document. These makes are merely for guidance and bidders can prefer any other make which is meeting technical specifications given under Section-V and Schedule of Quantities of Tender document and shall confirm to the relevant BIS codes and other relevant codes. However, the bidder may suggest any equivelent make/ model/brand meeting technical parameters on or before pre-bid conference for approval of BARC(V). 3) In view of limit on water-cement ratio for durability requirements in design mix concrete, concrete admixtures (Carboxylate based superplasticizers) can be used after taking prior approval of Engineer-in-Charge and the rates quoted for concrete items shall be inclusive of the cost of admixtures, Design mix, trial mixes, testing (at site & at approved labs), etc. complete. 4) The contractor shall set up sufficient number of self loading mobile concrete mixers inside the project area for the production of concrete.
5) Contractor may also be allowed to procure concrete from prior approved RMC plants on prior approval of the BARC subject to maintain required slump at site during pouring.To that extent suitable Mix Design should be carried out with required retention period. No extra payment will be made if concrete is brought from RMC plants outside the project area. 6) Manufacturer's Test certificate of cement which is procured from dealer/company is to be submitted for all cement related works by the contractor. 7) "Substrcture" referes to the part of structure upto top level of BASIN slab and "Superstructure"refers to the part of structure above the top of BASIN slab. 8) The Scope of works which are not included in any specific items but indicated in the document "General Scope of all works" shall be within the scope of overall contract works. The cost of work/item/material indicated in this document shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of all individual items. 9) The quoted rates shall include necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges,etc. and all other charges to supply all the required construction materials. 10) For all standards and code of practices, specifications, like Indian Standard, MORT&H, ASTM, etc. refer only latest revisions including all applicable amendments, revisions and additional publications (during contract period) and these have to be followed.
11)Prior approval for source of all construction materials by submission of relavent test certificates, documents, invoices etc. have to be taken from BARC. 12) All the tests mentioned in Quality Assurance Plan(QAP) should be carried out without any extra cost. 13) The contractor has to submit all royalty /seigneiorage slips,etc for all the naturally available construction materials before submitting the RA bills for processing of the same.
General Notes for Earth Work Excavation Items: Note : The rate quoted for earth work excavation by contractor is deemed to have included the following points (a) to (j) a) removal of all kinds of vegetation, small shrubs, light/heavy jungle, trees etc., alongwith roots, including disposal/stack in the identified location. b) shoring, strutting, stepping, dressing, grading required for keeping the earth in position on sides of trenches with approved timber/steel accessories wherever necessary to prevent sides from falling including bailing or pumping out of water if necessary including removal of debris/unserviceable materials and excavated excess soil, if any. c) dewatering of both ground and surface water, including removal of slurry generated while excavation and keeping the area free from water, to be let out of the building area through proper pipes & channels if required by suitable pumps, d) watering, ramming and thoroughly consolidate the bottom of all excavations & ground before the construction of foundation/footing/plinth beam, filling in basement or other work is commenced.
e) the loose pockets shall be excavated and compacted after back filling as directed by Engineer-in-charge, as per detailed specification and conforming to safety rules during progress of the work. f) Contour levels to be taken jointly with the Engineer-in-charge and prior written approval be taken before starting any excavation/ filling at every 3 m grids for arriving at the actual quantity, g) Backfilling will be done in layers of thickness as specified below. h) Cost inclusive of necessary royalties, seigneiorage charges and other charges to supply all the required construction materials, i) cost of items shall include all labour charges, hire charges of machinery, lubricants, fuels and tests etc. j) Measurement/Payment will be reststicted to PCC/drawing dimensions only.

Supplying and injecting with approved quality chemical emulsion (Imidacloprid) at the rates and concentrations as per IS 6313 Part II for preconstructional anti termite treatment and creating a chemical barrier under and around the foundations, masonry pits, masonry foundations, wall trenches, plinth filling, junctions of wall and floor, expansion joints, surfaces of RCC works for a depth of min. 500mm from the finished ground level, surrounding pipes, conduits etc., walls retaining soil above floor level, apron and drain along the perimeter of the building including all associated works complete as per specification / IS 6313 and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (only ground floor plinth area of the building will be measured for the payment in the following three stages). a) 20% after completion of the foundations/plinth beam. b) 50% after completion of the ground floor flooring. c) 30% after completion of all treatment works including ground floor doors & windows and around the building. Work to be executed by approved agency and specified guarantee for 10 (Ten) years shall be furnished by the tenderer. Payment will be cleared only after submission of Guarantee.
Providing and laying 1st class bedding below foundations, grade slabs etc with crushed stone sand or other granular materials passing through 4.75 mm seive as per IS 383 etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Cost including supply of all materials and labour complete.
Filling of areas in and around builldings wherever specified with approved quality murrum/gravel brought from within the campus with all type of soils including boulders including exacavtion at source with hydraulic excavator at all levels, filling with same excavated soil including loading,Transporting,unloading to embankment site with following lead, spreading in layers of 250mm each and compacting each layer with 3 tonne power capacity vibratory power roller to achive 90% proctor density,making suitable temporary approach road for the movement of excavator,tipper,dumper and other equipments,dewatering if required all as per drawings,specifications and as directed by the Engineer-In-charge.

8) This item is applicable for all PCC and RCC structural elements like footings, beams, columns, slabs, lintels, chajjas, walls etc., for all shapes, heights and leads. 9) Only steel scaffolding, staging, supporting system to the formwork and steel frame work will have to be used for all RCC structural elements. 10) All surfaces adjacent to EPs, etc., shall be in true line and level & irregularities, if any, shall be rounded by mechanical grinding, chiseling, finishing the same using epoxy silica sand mortar at no extra payment.
Forming vertical piles including initial test piles by boring through fill and all kinds of soils including hard murrum with gravel and chiselling through occassional boulders and soft / weathered / hard rock by continuous mud circulation technique and bailer boring or Rotary Drilling method, including conducting Standard Penetration test using SPT equipment all as instructed by Engineer In Charge, carting away the bored excavated soil upto a lead of 600 metres at places shown inside BARC campus, fixing reinforcement as per drawing, casting the piles with M-30 grade concrete by tremie only, using graded stone aggregates of maximum size 20 mm, with minimum cement content of 400 Kgs. per cubic metre of concrete and with water cement ratio including the water contained in the aggregates not exceeding 0.40, etc. all as per drawing, technical specification, and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge.
Note : (i) The Rate quoted shall include concreting a minimum of 600 mm above specified cut-off levels, cutting of piles at cut-off level specified including cost of all materials, admixtures (Naphthalene/Melamine based or approved super plasticisers), if used with the prior approval of engineer in charge, labour, tools, excavation, dewatering by pumps or well points and also for cut-off chipping, all as required etc. excluding cost of steel reinforcement but including cost of boring with bentonite solution and temporary casing for approprite length for setting out and removal of same complete. (ii) The rate of concrete shall include all labour, equipment, charges for mixing & cost of admixtures. (iii) Reinforcement will be measured and paid for separately under relevent item. (iv) The Rate quoted shall also include mobilisation work including transporting to site all necessary plant, equipment, piling / boring rigs or rotary piling equipment, necessary pile load testing equipment and materials, making vats, mobilising personnel, etc., erecting and commissioning all piling/boring rigs, plant & equipment and removal of same after completion as required & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Providing and laying design mix reinforced cement concrete of M30 Grade by weigh batching using graded stone aggregate of 20mm max. size and coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved and quality, including handling & transportation, scaffolding, mechanical mixing, placing to required location by hoisting and / or pumping & mechanical vibration, consolidation, finishing, curing, hacking of concrete surfaces wherever required etc. complete at all levels in substructure/superstructure as per specifications & also including dewatering, if any, complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge but excluding formwork, shuttering and steel reinforcement. Note: 1) The minimum cement content shall be 390kg/Cum of concrete. However, actual cement content required shall be based on design mix requirements carried out at BARC approved (NABL accredited) laboratory. In case the cement quantity consumed more than the specified above, the cost towards extra cement will not be paid. 2)Temparature raised due to heat of hydration shall be kept within limits in raft/mass concrete by keeping proper curing mechanism.

Providing and placing in position Reinforced cement concrete of M30 grade by weigh batching as precast in copings and/or bedb locks, plain window sills, shelves, louvers, steps, staircases, trench covers, drain covers, slabs & hatch covers etc. using graded stone aggregate of 20mm max. size and Coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved quality, handling & transportation, mechanical mixing & vibration, finishing, curing etc.complete as per specifications including formwork, scaffolding providing working platform for precast units, platform comprising levelling of ground, soling, and P.C.C. etc. all complete as directed and as per specifications including handling & transporting precast units from yard to appropriate place and fixing in position including labour, mechanical grinding (if required), making good the surface & other incidentals but excluding reinforcement, lifting hooks & structural steel Sections, complete all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: All projections, fins etc. in the concrete surface formed at the joints in formwork should be ground & flush and finished at no extra cost.
Providing and laying cement concrete 1:2:4 in Super structure (1 cement, 2 coarse sand, 4 Brick aggregates 20 mm to 40 mm) machine mixed for filling Sunken floors of Toilet, bath & kitchens admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and complete all as per technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge including scaffolding, consolidation, finishing, curing etc.
Providing, centering, shuttering Form work using Film faced plywood to get a neat form finish surface for all types of structures including necessary strutting, steel frame work/H-beams, steel proping, staging, supports etc and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

General Notes for Reinforcement steel Items: 1) 1.2mm dia annealed GI coated binding wire required for the work will have to be supplied by the contractor at their own cost and will not be measured for payment. 2) Fe-500D / Fe-500EQR bars as per IS to be supplied by the contractor 3) Reinforcement bars from conversion agents / re-rollers of above manufacturers, will not be accepted. 4) No extra payment will be made on account of Rolling Margin & wastage. 5) Contractor shall supply copy of the documentry evidence of purchase of steel, test certificate from these manufacturers and also test from third party to be carried out at no extra cost.
Providing Reinforcement steel of all diameters for reinforced cement concrete at all levels including supplying, preparation of bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, transporting to all elevations, placing and keeping in positions, all leads, fixing, tieing with 1.2 mm dia annealed GI coated binding wire including all labour charges, cost of cover blocks (in same grade of concrete) of various thicknesses and sizes etc. all as per drawings and technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Using TMT Bars of Specified Grades of all sizes. TMT bars to be supplied by the contractor of grade - Fe 500D / Fe-500EQR.
General Notes for Structural steel Items: 1) Structural steel required for the work shall not be supplied by the Department. 2) Structural steel confirming to IS 2062 shall be supplied from their own plants rolled from virgin materials to be procured directly or from their authorised dealers and test cerificate to be produced. 3) The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. 4) Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rates. 5) Holes to be drilled only by Drilling machines and gas cutting of holes are not permitted. 6) Rate inclusive of all consumables like gas, welding electrodes and tools and tackles etc. 7) The Liquid Penetrant Inspection shall be carried out in 1% of the total joints and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge without any extra cost.
Providing and fixing hand rail using 304 grade Stainless Steel pipes or any other shape of approved size and quality by TIG welding, mirror / matt polishing, fixing at site etc. for balcony railing & staircases railing including special sections as per drawings, specifications. A sample to be fabricated and to be got approved by the Engineer-in-Charge before starting of work at site. This work to be executed through approved qualified welder etc., complete as per specifications all complete as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge. (Cost including all materials and labour)
Supply, fabrication, and fixing in position the MS embedded parts in RCC / Masonry/ Form work weighing not more than 100 kgs at all heights. Cost including transporting, aligning, fixing in position, etc. complete all as per drawings and Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. All necessary test reports are to be provided along with the supply of the materials.
Providing Structural steel work in M.S. plain plates and chequered plates in trench covers, connection plates and other areas as required. Cost including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position, including grit blasting and applying a priming coat of approved zinc chromate steel primer, welding, all labour charges etc., Structural steel plates to be used as per drawings and Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. All necessary test reports of the supplied material are to be submitted by the contractor.
General Notes for MASONRY WORK Items: In the fly ash bricks the mix confirming to the strength mentioned in the respective items shall be got approved by the department. The mix shall consist of ordinary portland cement content of not less than 20%(preferably) of the mixture consisting of Fly ash, OPC and Gypsum or any variation in proportion of design mix shall be submitted to BARC for approval. The Anhydraous Gypsum, Fly Ash, Cement, Crusher dust and other materials shall confirm to the relevant IS codes. The Anhydrous Gypsum shall be procured from a reputed source approved by the department. Roller mixer shall be used for good homogeneous mixing. a) Reinforcement will be measured & paid for separately under relevant item. b) RCC band and formwork shall not be measured seperatly, however no deductions will be made in brickwork for the same. c) No holes in brickwall will be allowed for scaffolding. Only double tubular steel scaffolding be allowed.
Providing and constructing 100/150/200/230mm (or as directed) thick masonry at all elevations with quality Fly ash/ FAL-G bricks (confirming to IS 12894) having minimum crushing strength 60 Kgs/Sq.cm and water absorption of maximum 20%, in cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 river sand/ crushed stone sand) uniformly mixed in machine with 'non-shrinking compound' as per manufacturer’s instruction in specified courses of approved bond also providing horizonatal RCC band of 100/150/200mm x 100 mm (or as directed) at about 1.00 m c/c with 2 nos. 8 mm dia Tor bars and 6 mm dia links at 300 mm c/c in cement concrete (1:2:4), required formwork, complete including pointing, raking out joints, curing, cleaning, including independent double legged scaffolding, at all heights, depths and leads, dewatering area where required etc., all as per typical drawings, Technical specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing 15 mm thick Plain Internal Plastering in cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished smooth, including sieving of sand to required fineness, preparation of the surface, double steel tubular scaffolding, curing all as per specifications, drawings and as directed at site etc. complete all as per Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing 20 mm thick External plastering in two coats under layer 12 mm thick with cement mortar 1:4 (using river sand) finished with a top layer 8 mm thick in cement mortar 1:3 (using river sand) admixtured with Water proofing admixture @ 2% by weight of cement used (in both layers) and as per manufacturer's specifications, sieving of sand to required fineness, double tubular steel scaffolding, finishing, curing etc. complete all as per Technical specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing in position 22 gauge G. I. Chicken wire mesh with 20 mm opening, around door & window frames, junctions of walls with concrete etc. wherever required, before plastering including cutting, nailing with 'U' nails, screwing, minimum overlapping of 150 mm, etc. all complete all as per drawings and specifications and as directed by Enginner-in-charge. (Overlaps will not be measured for payment) Width of chicken wire mesh to be fixed shall be min. 150 mm.
Making various moulds / bands in C.M. 1:3 as specified below, in proper line, level, shape and design as shown in following drawings, fixing chiken wire mesh (to be paid under relevent item), preparing surfaces, rendering with sponge, scaffolding, curing, etc. complete all as per drawing, specification and as directed by Engineer in Charge

General Notes for Flooring Items: The contractor shall submit all samples to the department for approval and no work shall commence before such samples are duly approved.
Providing and fixing (Satin/Satin Matt finish/glossy) VITRIFIED tiles not less than 600mmx600mmx 8mm thick for flooring /skirting conforming to IS 15622 of approved colour and shade laid over a bed of minimum 20mm thick bed of cement mortar 1:4 (using coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand) a total thick ness of 30mm including thickness of tile. Cost including hacking, cleaning and preparing the surface for bedding, spreading neat cement slurry prior to bedding, fully buttering cement paste on back, fixing to required line, level, including chasing the walls to obtain the desired projection for fixing of skirting tile, joints to be cleaned and grouted with matching colour of approved quality ecement based Tile Grout (if required epoxy filling), curing, cleaning, etc. complete as per patterns, drawings and as per Technical specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing dado / skirting with vitrified tiles of size 300x450x8mm or 300x300x8mm, quality, colour, design of approved pattern as shown in drawing or as approved by Engineer-in-charge for walls, fixed over 12 mm thick cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement and 3 coarse river sand/ crushed stone sand) and jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 Kgs/sq.m including pointing with white cement based tile grout of matching shade, fixed to correct line, level and plumb, curing, cleaning, all leads and lifts etc., complete at all heights and leads all complete as per technical specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and laying of Thandoor stone flooring of minimum thickness of 20mm. including machine cut three level mirror polishing of approved size, uniform shade and pattern as approved by Engineer-in-charge, bedding in cement mortar (1:4) of thickness to make a total thickness of maximum 50 mm icluding the thickness of stone, including hacking, cleaning and preparing the surface for bedding, spreading neat cement slurry by using minimum cement about 1 Kg/sqm prior to bedding and using minimum cement paste about 3.3 Kgs/sqm for fixing to required line, level, joints to be cleaned and grouted with matching colour of approved quality readymade grout, curing, cleaning etc., complete at all heights and leads all complete as per technical specifications or as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing of 17mm thick machine cut, mirror polished Jet Black Granite stone/Galaxy/Dark Brown/ equivalent range and shade approved granite stone (moulded and polished) of approved quality to wash basin counter top, vanitiy counters, kitchen/pantry platforms and similar locations to be fixed, including providing mirror polished Classic white Granite fascia wherever shown in drawing, to be fixed with approved epoxy adhesive over cuddapah slab, exposed faces & edges to be rounded / chamfered, joints treated with white cement, mixed with matching pigment, epoxy touch ups, including rubbing, curing, moulding / Bull Nosing and polishing the edges to give high gloss finish, all junctions shall be sealed with approved silicon sealant, including required drilling, cutting of holes, providing of Stainless Steel (SS) pins, anchors, clamps etc. complete at all heights and leads all complete as per Technical specifications specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note : supporting brickwork alongwith plastering, if any will be paid under relevant item.
Providing and fixing 17mm thick approved SK blue/Steel grey Granite stone or any Sample approved for equivalent range in full length piece of a maximum length of 2.0 m or approved size and shade as shown in drawing or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Providing and Fixing in position Suspended false ceiling system using 600x600mm Aerated Calcium Silicate Ceiling tiles (plain/ cosmos/ spinton model) Tiles having 15mm Densified edges and 100% Humidity resistance, Incombustible as per BS476 part IV with Thermal conductivity of 0.043 w/m KC and approved surface Design and with approved edge Profile placed in a suspended Grid of silhoutte reveal grid system of Aerolite or equivalent with 15 mm wide flanges incorporating a 3mm central recess. The main runner and cross tees shall have mitered ends and birdsmouth notches to provide mitered crucifor junction. The main runners and cross tees shall be made of Hot-dipped G.I. steel sections having an exposed surface capping of Pre-finished baked polyester painted coil wherein the main tee of size 15mmx41mmx0.33mm (Min.) shall be suspended at 1200 mm centres securely fixed to the structural soffit by approved hangers at 1200 max. centres and not more than 150 mm from spliced joints. The rate quoted shall also include two coats of acrylic emulsion paint over a coat of primer. WATERPROOFING WORKS
Providing and laying integral cement based water proofing treatment With Average thickness of 120 mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65 mm including preparation of surface as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terraces etc. consisting of following operations: (i) Applying and grouting a slurry coat of neat cement by pump using 2.75 Kgs / sq.m of cement admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 over RCC slab including adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. (ii) Providing and laying 20 mm thick plastering using cement mortar 1:5 (with coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and treating similarly the adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including rounding (Vatta) of junctions of walls and slabs. The entire surface shall be ponded with water for a period of 3 days and observe for leakage if any. In case of any leakage observed, the effected area shall be sealed by grouting with cement and further leakage to be checked for again. (iii) Laying brick bats set in cement mortar 1:5 using broken brick bats 25 mm to 115 mm size with cement mortar 1:5 (using coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including rounding (Vatta) of junctions of walls and slabs. The entire surface shall be ponded with water for a period of 10 days and observe for leakage if any. In case of any leakage observed, the effected area shall be sealed by grouting with cement and further leakage to be checked for again.
(iv) After 10 days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-Charge. (v) Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4 (using coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge including mixing ''polyster fibre' at the rate of 125 grams per 50 Kgs of Cement in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making pattern of 300 X 300 mm square, 3 mm deep. (vi) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of 2 weeks for curing and for final test. All above operations to be done in order, complete all as per specifications as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Contractor shall provide 10 year guarantee for waterproofing on approved proforma.
Providing and laying water proofing treatment in sunken portions of WCs, bath rooms etc. by applying cement slurry mixed with water proofing cement compound consisting of applying: (a) 1st layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 Kgs / sq.m mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.253 Kgs per sq.m. including injecting cement slurry. This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours. (b) 2nd layer of slurry of cement @ 0.242Kgs / sq.m mixed with water proofing cement compound @ 0.126 Kgs / sq.m. This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours followed with water curing for 48 hours. (c)Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick joint less cement mortar of mix 1:4 (using coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound confirming to IS 2645, specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge including mixing polyster fibre at the rate of 125 grams per 50 Kgs at the rate of 125 grams per 50 Kgs of Cement in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry in bottom and all the sides of sunken portion. The rate includes preparation of surface, treatment and sealing of all joints, corners, junctions of pipes and masonry with polymer mixed slurry. The treatment to be tested for water tightness before filling the sunken areas, Cost quoted shall include all materials and labourand as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Contractor shall provide 10 year guarantee for waterproofing on approved proforma.
Providing and applying 20mm thick waterproofing plastering to the concrete and masonry surfaces, with cement mortar of ratio cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 screened river sand) mixed uniformly by machine with approved polypropylene fibres and mixing of approved water proof compound as per recommendations or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, including raking out joints, hacking concrete surfaces and applying with approved chemical bonding agent, preparing junctions of concrete / masonry by neat cleaning, grouting with non-shrink mortar etc., at all heights and depths, leads and lifts, curing, etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge. cost including conduting the water tightness test by filling and storing the water for 72 hours. a) System shall consist of preparation of surfaces including ‘V’ grooves at junctions and joints, pressure grouting the same and curing. b) Applying cement slurry admixed with approved bonding agent recommended by manufacturer and allowed to cure. c) Walls plastering and finished smooth with about 20 mm thick with cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 screened river sand) using recommended proportion of waterproofing compound and polypropylene fibers. d) Making required wattas, rounding of corners; with 1:4 (1 cement : 4 screened river sand) admixed with waterproofing compound of recommended proportion and making junctions with walls and floor finished smooth, including and cured. e) Tank shall be tested by filling the water and maintaining it for 72 hrs. to check leakages. Contractor shall provide 10 year guarantee for waterproofing on approved proforma.
Providing and Placing in position suitable PVC water stops, Serrated with central bulb (225 mm wide) 8 mm thick confirming to IS 12200/15058 for construction / expansion joints between two RCC Members and fixed to the reinforcement with binding wire before pouring concrete, including joint welding by approved method or as recommended by manufacturer etc. all as per the specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
ALUMINIUM WORKS, GLAZING, etc.
GENERAL NOTE FOR ALL ITEMS UNDER THIS SECTION: 1. The rate quoted shall include submission of all designs, engineering & shop drawings for approval from BARC. The procurement and fabrication shall be done only after approval of the design and drawing by BARC. 2. The quoted rate shall include all wastage,Taxes, duties, statutory obligations and safety code compliance as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Providing and fixing Colour anodized (of 20 micron thikness) aluminium work for doors, windows, ventilators, Alu Louvers and partitions etc. with extruded built up standard tubular sections / Z Sections and other sections confirming to IS 733 and IS 1285 fixed with rawl plugs and stainless steel screws or with fixing clips or with stainless steel expansion hold fastners including necessary filling up of gaps at junctions, at top, bottom and sides with required PVC / neoprene felt etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically where ever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap beading for glazing / panelling, C.P brass / stainless screws all complete as per architectural drawings and as per direction of Engineer-in-charge including providing and fixing hinges / pivots and making provision for fixing of fittings wherever required including the cost of PVC / neoprene gasket required. (Weight of the Aluminium sections shall not be less than Specified in the drawings). The work shall be carried out complete as per approved shop drawing and the relavent portion of specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Notes : 1) Only anodized aluminium sections, aluminum beading, aluminium sheets & aluminium handles used will be measured for payment. The rate quoted is deemed to have included the cost of all brass concealed tower bolts, screws, gasket, weather strips, PVC lining, etc. and no seperate measurement / payment will be made for the same. 2) Glass, particle boards, aluminium grills, brass mesh, louvers, etc. will be measured & paid separately under relevant items. 3) All fittings shall be of matching colour anodised of aluminium sections. 4) A long M.S. Rod at both ends to be provided in all aluminium shutters in top & bottom horizontal members internally connecting vertical members and fixed with M.S. washers and nuts. No measurement and payment shall be made for this. 5) Aluminium Frames to be fixed with walls / columns with minimum 100 mm long Brass screws / Stainless steel screws and necessary hold fasts. No measurement and payment shall be made for these items. 6) All aluminium frame and shutters Joints shall be of mitred joints with necessary cleats/ plates . 7) Filling the gap between aluminium frame & adjacent RCC / Brick work / Stone work by providing weather silicon sealant over backer rod of approved quality as per architectural drawings and direction of Engineer-in-charge complete up to 5 mm depth and 5 mm width.
