SITE CLEARANCE AND DEVELOPMENT

Excavation / cutting in hilly area for widening of road in all type of soil and rocks etc. As encountered at site true to line as per L-section/ Super elevation as required also including uprooting and cutting of bushes, dressing of road surface to the required level and slope with all lead lifts and safe disposal of surplus excavated material (exceeding from the approved drawing) due to slide / slip during rock cutting to the dumping places as indicated in drawings by hydraulic rock breaker or JCB/Poclain with hydraulic drill bit and without damaging forest, forest land, utilities, private and public properties till the completion of work as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Adequate safety provision to be made to prevent free fall of rock/debries in residential area.

BITUMINOUS ROAD

Surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in soft/disintegrated rock complete all as specified and directed.

Surface excavation not exceeding 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in hard rock complete all as specified and directed.

Rolling & consolidating formation surfaces in cutting/ with power roller 8 to 12 tonne including filling in hollows & depression which occur during the process of rolling complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material ( rock ) to a distance exceeding 5KM but not exceeding 15KM and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 150 mm thickness granular sub base (GSB-II) using broken graded stone aggregate 40mm to 63mm size interstices filled laid in two layers of 75mm spread thickness each layer spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber as required complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 150mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet mix macadam (WMM) laid in 2 layers of 75mm each layer, spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber as required including necessary lateral support and form work, if required using crushed stone, coarse aggregate of maximum size 40mm grading as specified type igneous rock such as granite/trap/basalt etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for plain cement concrete 1:4:8 Type D-2 (Using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in sub base and finishing surfaces of concrete topping even and rough to receive the topping layer complete all specified and directed.

M&L sand filling under floors or in foundation including watering and consolidation complete all specified and directed

M&L for Machine pressed precast concrete interlocking paver block any shape and size confirming to IS 15658-2006 of 80 mm thickness M-40 Grade with grey cement and pigment set over sand cushioning complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Interlocking Paver Block shall be of 1st quality and ISI marked.

M&L for providing PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (Using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in benching, coping, kerb and like including necessary formwork and weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered as required complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Preparing unsurfaced WMM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. Sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for applying evenly a priming / tack coat with bitumen VG-10 grade @5 Kg per 10 sqm including Preparion of existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. Sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specified and directed. complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and directed .

M&L for applying evenly a priming coat with paving bitumen VG-10 grade @10 Kg per 10 sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 50 mm compacted thickness premix bituminous macadam (BM) with 4.0 % paving binder content VG-30 Grade by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with consolidated thickness 50mm with a uniform smooth surface with 8 to 10 tonne power roller & vibrator complete all as specified and directed. Note: Premixing shall be done by using Hot Mix plant and laying shall be done by using mechanical paver complete all as specified and directed

M & L for applying 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) bituminous premixed asphaltic semi dense concrete with 5.5% paving binder content VG-30 Grade by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient to a uniform smooth surface with 8 to 10 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed. Note: Premixing shall be done by using Computarised Hot Mix plant and laying shall be done by using mechanical paver complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters, etc. on roads pavements by applying thermoplastic road marking paint conforming to IS 164-1981 (First revision reaffirmed in 1986)(5 kg/Sqm) with glass beads potters (250 gms) 3 mm thick and 10 cm wide strips on bituminous road surface and road marking (by hot mechanical process with road marking machine) including complete removal of dust particles by wire brushes or sweeping with brooms complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- charge.

Providing and fixing bi-directional road studds (Cat eye) / reflective pavement marker ( RPM) with single body twin shank and plastic body moulded from ASA (acrylic styrene acrylonitrite) or HIPS ( High Impact Poilystyrene) or ABS ( Acrylonitrite Butadine styrene) or any other suitable material approved by EIC ( marker must support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D 4280 and reflective lenses conforming to ASTM D 788 or equivalent) bonded or anchored with in the road surfaces for lane marking and delineation for night time visibility complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in- charge.

Construction of RCC box type culvert of size 5.5 mtr X900 mm wide and 1200 mm depth including all necessary works : (i) Excavation in earthwork in soft/ dinintegrated rock (ii)PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 in foundation (iii)Reinforcement as indicated in drgs (iv)All RCC work in M-25 design mix concrete , formwork for fair finished on flat surfaces (v)PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 in flooring finsished over and smooth using extra cement . All as specified and shown in Drg nentioned in List of Drgs.

Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) each n exc 0.5 cum, getting out in soft disintegrated rock , returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm,watering etc and removing surplus soil to 50 m distance and making good surface complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for mild steel channel of size 150mmX75mm and 5mm thick with minimum galvanised coating @ 0.55 kg/Sqm as in post , spacers etc of crash barrier work including cutting as per site requirement and forming holes , jointing , bolting etc conforming to Fe-410-W complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for mild steel GI corrugated sheet 3 mm thick in W-shape ( Each sheet ahving length 4.30 m & width 0.311 m) with minimum galvanised coating @ 0.55 kg/Sqm as in wall cladding having minimum end laps 300 mm minimum width 08 Nos nuts & bolts for crash barrier work including forming holes for jointing and bolting etc conforming to Fe-410-W complete all as specified and directed. (Note: Nuts and bolts shall be measured and paid seperately).

S&F of MS with GI coating nuts and bolts of diameter of shank 16 mm ( machine made) with hexagonal head at one end and screwed the other or screwed both ends end fitted with washers and one hexagonal nut , exc 4 cm but not exc 5 cm complete all as specified and directed.

S&F of 50 mm wide reflective warning tape sticker high visibility safety honeycomb consispicuiltty tape in any colour complete all as specified and directed.

ROAD FURNITURE

Excavating in post holes (or similar holes) each n exc 0.5 cum, getting out in soft loose soil , returning, filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exceeding 25 cm complete all as specified and directed.

S&F stainless steel tubular works as in posts and struts including cutting tops to shape as directed , drilling holes , notching for wire etc including necessary bolting / riveting and embedding in concrete and similar works complete all as specified and directed.

S&F of plain , Aluminium sheeting of 0.71 mm thick , Alloy 31000 H4 in stepped flashing with complete accessories including necessary welding and fixed with nut and bolts etc for signage board complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for writing letters of figures ( Block , Roman , Italic or Indian) not exceeding 30 cm high on sign boards / logos with retro reflective paint complete all as specified and directed.

S & F SGS circular convex type with high quality acrylic of polycarbonate ( scratch resistant and unbreakable) security mirror complete all as specified and directed. Note : SGS circular mirror shall be of 1st quality & ISI marked.

M&L for writing index hands ( natural size) or arrows upto 40 cm long complete all as specified and directed.

PCC DRAIN

Excavation in trenches width not exceeding 1.5 m and depth n exc 1.5 m for foundation etc or for shaft , wells etc and n exc 10 Sqm on plan and getting out in soft/ disintegrated rock complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated soft/disintegrated rock to a distance not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. NOTE: (Approx 10 Cum muck available in drains will also have to be removed).

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 (Using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in surface drains complete all as specified and directed.

Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30cm inner girth in cement concrete using extra cement including forms, moulds, mitred/stopped end etc complete all as specified and directed.

STONE MASONARY RETAINING WALL

M&L for plain cement concrete 1:4:8 Type D-2 (Using 40 mm graded stone aggregate) as in foundation filling and mass concrete complete all specified and directed.

M&L for stone walling of random rubble stone masonary, uncoursed , well bounded , bedded and solidely hearted built in cement mortar (1:6) using locally available best stone etc complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No. 5.02 given above but except stone . Note :- (Quantity obtained from site clearance and demolition to be used).

M&L returning, filling in of soft / disintegrated rock including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25mm in soil complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing PCC bond stone ( for stone walling) type C1 1:3:6 (Using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) set in CM 1:6 complete all specified and directed.

M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C1 (Using 20 mm graded stone aggregate) as in cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs not provided for , water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for raised pointing to RR , uncoarsed or brought upto course stone masonary in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

Extra over stone walling for hammer dressing to face stones and dressing of face beds and joints with maximum sepression on face from straight ,edge held against the dressed surface n exc 40 mm thick for granite or trap basalt stone complete all as specified and directed .

M&L for hand packing ( any thickness) broken stone at back of wall and raising ( or lowering) to the required level except boulder /stone material complete all as specified and directed .

Labour only for hand packing ( any thickness) broken stone at back of wall and raising ( or lowering) to the required level except boulder /stone material complete all as specified and directed .

M&L for walling of random rubble , uncoursed , well bounded , laid dry in retaining walls , abutments and similar works etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for high density polythelene pipes (HDPE) 75 mm bore of pressure rating 6 Kg/cm square laid in retaining wall complete all as specified and directed.

Boulder apron laid in wire crates ( Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates made with 4 mm dia GI wire conforming to IS : 280 & IS : 4826 in 100 mm X 100 mm mesg ( weaved diagonally) including 10 % extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders including all taxes , supply for all materials , labours , T&P etc complete all as specified and directed .

Demolition of Brickwork or stone/ boulder masonry, built in lime mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars, etc, but excluding ashlar facings, dressed stonework and precast concrete articles complete all as specified and directed .

MISCELLANEOUS

Earth work in excavation of ordinary rock by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5m complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-incharge.

Removing excavated material ( rock ) to a distance exceeding 250M but not exceeding 500M and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material ( rock ) to a distance exceeding 500M but not exceeding 1.5KM and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material ( rock ) to a distance exceeding 1.5KM but not exceeding 5KM and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- About 1800 Cum rock/boulder materials are presently available on road side due to natural landslide and will also have to be removed.

M & L for plain cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 (Using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in foundation, filling and mass concrete etc, complete all as specified and as directed.
