SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LIVING IN ACCOMMODATION MESS FOR AIRMEN AT 257 SU MUKKUNNIMALA PHASE I

Carrying out soil investigation including mobilization / transportation of machinery, tools, tackles, personal and shifting of entire arrangement to bore hole locations etc with drilling 01 no of bore hole of 150mm dia in all strata upto depth of 25.0 mtr or 3.00 mtr inside rock whichever is earlier at different location as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge ./ refusal Ground level and conducting standard penetration test and collection of undisturbed samples at 1.5 m intervals or at any change of strata in undisturbed strata including chemical analysis of soil & ground water (water to be obtained from bottom of bore hole) , necessary laboratory test grains size analysis LL and PL etc. required for evaluation of safe allowable bearing capacity, in addition three samples from backfill of retaing wall shall be tested for atterberg limit, gradation & C - Ф analysis etc along with the recommendation of type of foundation, type of cement and reinforcement to be used in ibid work and submitting geotechnical investigation report in four sets, bore hole positions duly marked on plan and their distance from adjacent prominent reference point, plan size of the buildings shall also be marked in the plan, this plan shall be signed by soil consultant. Bore log details as per Appx 'D' of IS 1892, N values depth wise shall be shown in bore log details.complete in all aspect as directed,and Conducting necessary tests as per relevant IS codes / NBC 2005/SP36 on all collected samples which include the determination of:-

(a) Atterberg limits (b) Natural moisture content (c) Wet density, dry dencity and degree of saturation of soil. (d) Soil particle size distribution using sieve/hydrometer analysis (e) Tri-axial shear test and C-Phi determination (f) Shrinkage limit (g) Consolidation test (h) Specific gravity test for sand / rock (j) Crushing strength of rock samples (k) Permeability test (l)Free swell index. (m)Grain size analysis, identification and classification of soil type / soft rock and hard rock (n)Unit weight (bulk density), natural moisture content, liquid limit, plastic limit, shrinkage limit, plsticity index, specific gravity. (o)Free swelling index & swelling pressure if expansive soil is encountered (p)Depth of water table below ground level. (q)Presence of loose soil, if any and its depth (r)RQD value and degree of weathering

(s) If weak soil with lesser N value as specified in table -1 of IS 1893 (part I) 2016 is encountered then evaluation of liquefaction potential shall be assessed and remedial actions to be adopted shall be specified. (t) For open foundations, calculation of Net SBC at 1.5m,2.0m,2.5m,3.0m from shear as well as settlement criteria. SBC value shall be calculated based on C-Phi analysis as well as SPT value. For calculation formulae given in IS:6403 shall be used. If pile foundation are required then depth of pile shall be mentioned and capacity in compression, uplift and lateral loads shall be given for 450, 500 and 550mm dia. (u)Report should be vetted from IIT/NIT (v) Report preparation and submission of final report in quadruplicate duly vetted from IIT/NIT after approval by Accepting Officer.
