Comprehensive Maintenance and Repairs Replacement of Defective Parts of Thyssenkrupp Lifts at Nausena Baugh Under GE Utility I Visakhapatnam

Notes for Serial Item No. 1 : [a] The contractor shall carryout the Comprehensive Maintenance of the Lifts catered under subject work through the Original Equipment Manufacturer of that Lift or from their accredited / authorised agencies only. The lowest bidder shall submit MoU from the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Lift or from their accredited / authorised agencies to provide technical support, trained persons for maintenance & testing and spares before commencement of the work to GE. The spares shall be of the make as per existing or as per the OEM. [b] MINIMUM MANPOWER TO BE EMPLOYED: The contractor shall be required to provide Lift Techinican and Helper with sound knowledge and adequate experience in the respective trade Round the Clock on as and when required basis as directed by the Engineer-in-charge for maintenance and efficient function of Lifts. [c] The rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of all Major and Minor Spares viz. Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / LED Lights etc. as and when required for trouble free and smooth operation and functioning of lifts. The rate quoted is also deemed to be inclusive of overhauling as and when required to all mechanical parts of lifts, Rewinding of Electric Motors, repair/maintenance of Gear Unit, repair / maintenance of Door Drive, Controllers, Pulleys, Limit Switches, Relays etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. All the safety measures including ARDs shall be ensured for serviceable condition round the clock and cost of their spares, batteries etc. shall deemed to be included in the rate quoted. Nothing extra shall be paid extra on these accounts.

[d] The Rate quoted by the contractor shall also be deemed to include for preventive maintenance of the following Items including supplying and replacing of the following worn out and defective items during the contract period and nothing extra shall be paid on this account: (i) Contactors, transformer, chock and other controller components, machine encoder (ii) PCB,VVVF Drive, Integrated drive in case of MC2B (iii) Rollers, Bearings, Solenoids, Coils (iv) Relays in controller, Push Button, Indicators, door contacts (v) Push Buttons, Limit Switches (vi) Brake Shoes, Liners (vii) Contacts (viii) Magnetic Switches, Magnets (ix) Door Motor & Drive, encoder (x) Car Door Safety Device, Infrared sensor (xi) Governor (xii) Interlocks on Hoist Way Doors (xiii) Other Minor Mechanical Parts, Gear Oil, Grease (xiv) Motors (xv) Machines repair (xvi) Ropes, Traveling cable [e] The rate quoted shall be deemed to be including testing of each lift by Licensed Lift Inspector of Government of Andhra Pradesh twice in Contract Period for worthiness of the Lift in respect of safety. Certificate issued by the Licensed Lift Inspector shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-Charge and a copy of Certificate shall be displayed in all Lift Cabins as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

[f] Emergency Light and necessary tools shall be available in a tool box in the shift for smooth functioning of lifts. [g] Conveyance and communication system like mobile phone etc. shall be provided by the contractor to all Lift Mechanics and Helpers. [h] The contractor shall abide by the latest Labour Rules and Minimum Wages Act. [j] Wages paid by the contractor to the persons employed shall not be less than the minimum wages fixed by State / Central Government from time to time whichever is higher. The contractor shall also insure the workmen employed on the job. [k] The contractor is responsible for Insurance, EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Labour Welfare Cess etc., as applicable and shall be paid to the Workmen as per existing Labour Rules / Acts / Regulations and rate quoted shall be deemed to be included for the same. [l] The contractor shall provide the workmen with Dark Blue Colour Uniform along with protective clothing / gear. The contractor shall also provide shoes to the workers and the persons shall not be allowed to enter the work site without wearing shoes. [m] The contractor shall be responsible for all Accidents / Injuries happened to the workmen. Any accident causing Minor / Fatal Injury, Partial Disability due to any untoward incident or non-adherence to Safety and IE Regulations or fault in maintaining of Lifts System / Safety Mechanism or on account of any mishandling / wrong operation / lack of knowledge of safety precautions or on account of any circumstances beyond his/their control, the contractor shall be solely responsible for settling all claims of compensation to the deceased, failing which department will have a right to recover any sum indicated / claimed by Labour Commissioner / Court authorities. No claim whatsoever will be entertained in this regard. No compensation is payable by the department on this account. Contractor shall provide first aid boxes to meet any emergency situations.
