Handling, cleaning, dismantling, applying rust preventive chemical / greasing of all internals of chain pulley blocks, assembling and finally load testing including DP test of Hooks by using 1.25 times the rated load. The load test shall be carried out in presence of HWPK representative and shall be authorized by AERB representative. After testing each chain pulley block cover shall be painted and SWL, load tested date and details of chain pulley block shall be written on it. Required manpower for all tendered works to be arranged by contractor. Handling & shifting of load.

General cleaning of the forklift, re-lubrication & oil topping up operation shall be done and made ready for testing by contractor's personnel. Load shall be lifted by the forks and forward / backward movement, hoisting / lowering movement, gradient (1:30) movement, braking movement etc. shall be checked with 125% of SWL.

General Cleaning of the EOT crane body, cow-web removal, re-lubrication at required points, oil topping up operation etc. Brake lining check & adjustment and similar other pre-testing jobs shall be carried out including DP test of Hooks by the contractor before load testing is taken up. The load test shall be carried out in presence of HWPK representative and shall be authorized by AERB representative. Wire ropes on the rope drum and on pulley hook shall be cleaned and cardium compound or Servocoat-120 grease provided by HWPK as free issue material shall be applied after inspecting the condition of wire rope Long travel, cross travel of the crane, inching operation, brake operation, limit switch operation, crane girder deflection with load at centre, amperage, noise of operation, stability etc. shall be checked.

Mobile Crane Jobs as specified for (3) above are also required to be done for mobile cranes. Crane shall be tested with basic boom or extended boom as per instruction of engineer incharge including DP test of Hooks. Crane shall be parked with outrigger beams fully taken out and supported on rigid base. Boom hoisting, round movement, rope hoisting, braking, inching operation, swinging with load test etc. shall be done with test load.

Preparation of surfaces, providing and applying one coat of suitable primer wherever required, (as recommended by manufacturer of finished coat paint) and two coats approved make and shade of Synthetic Enamel Paint (as per colour code of HWPK) including writing equipment Number, capacity, load tested date etc. on equipment/machines after manually and/or mechanical cleaning of entire surface and removing oil, grease, rust, dust, loose mill scale or existing primer, as per specification and as directed by the Engineer.

Collection, cleaning, visual inspection of Slings for any physical damage such as flattening or distortion, jammed strand, un-laying, bird cage bulge, kinks and crushed in line with HWPK procedures and load tested as suggested by engineer in charge in presence of HWPK representative.

Collection, cleaning, visual inspection D Shackles for any physical damage such as pining, nicks & gouges, cracks or corrosion, excessive thread damage, any heat work or welding, pins must be straight and all screw pins must be completely seated. Cotter pins must be used with all round pin, if existing in shackles, recording of all data inclusive of dimension of Mouth opening (distance between eye) in line with HWPK procedures. All the shackles have to be DP tested, load tested and witness by qualified/certified person of contractor.
