M&L for preparing pavement joints by removal of (taking out) the existing polyurethene sealant or any other compound to a depth as directed , by chiseling from the joints, cleaning the joint surface thoroughly and grinding side of joint with grinding machine to make the surface free from dust faces of bitumen or any other sealing compound without disturbing the pavement , then finally cleaning the joint with compressed air by air blower and vacuum cleaner etc . Providing backup material (polyprophylene backup rod) of suitable width and depth as per available space in the pavement joints and also to maintain a depth (min 10 mm) to accommodate joint sealant as specified. Priming both sides of the joint surface upto the top level of backup material with specified primer and apply polyurethene base joint sealant properly leaving 3mm gap from top surface of concrete as per manufacturer's instruction using masking tape to avoid accidental spillage , size of joint upto 10 mm wide and 26 mm average depth complete all as specifed and directed by Eng-in-charge. [Note:- (i) Tenderer attention is invited to the depth of pavement joint required to be cut, in case of extra cutting tenderer needs to make good with suitable filler as directed at his own cost. (ii) Filling of joints to be done 2 to 3 mm recessed during summer and in winter it should be filled upto top up. (iii) Fly wheel, spatula , trangular pallet Knife etc to be used to maintain the recess and to give aesthetics.]

M&L for cleaning the surface of Runway with wire brush and air compressor, making the surface free from dust and applying with and including two coats of polymer modified bitumen emulsion @0.30 Ltr/Sqm by diluted in the ratio 1:1 (PME 0.15 ltr and water 0.15 ltr each coat) in each coat, spraying with mechanical sprayer and ensure uniform finish of runway complete all as per manufacturer's instruction and as specified & directed. (Note :- Contractor must ensure and arrange necessary material to protect the painting lines, runway lights on the runway from the PME. If any damage occur during currency of work contractor should rectify the same without any extra cost.)

M&L for complete removal of old paint on surfaces and applying two coats of water based road marking paint (boldly and solidly without showing signs of brush marks) as in painting lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc, on roads, pavement and the like, exceeding 10 Cm width or girth, applying white, black, golden yellow and orange colour, as required at site, complete all as specified and as directed. [Note:- (i) Proper gap should be maintained between first and second coat. (ii) Work should be done through authorized applicator of manufacturer of paint and shall be approved by GE before commancement of work.]
