SCHEDULE "A" PART - I [CIVIL WORKS]
Surface excavation n.exc (not exceeding) 30 cm deep and averaging 15cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil including removal, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Excavation in trenches n. exc. 1.5m wide and n. exc.1.5m in depth for foundations, pile cap, beams, shafts, wells, manholes, pier holes, laying of under ground cables or pipe etc., n exc 10 sq m on plan and getting out in soft/loose soil, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
M&L for Pre-construction anti termite treatment by treating the soil under ramp and plinth protection at @ 5Lit / Sqm of surface area, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Returning, filling in including, spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers n. exc. 25cm thick in any type of soil, complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- A deduction of 10% shall be made from total computed volume of filling to cater in bulk irrespective of machinery used for ramming.
Material & labour for drilling or boring for 800mm nominal dia. bored cast-in-situ piles, through any or all types of strata i.e soft/loose soil, stiff clay, gravel, cobble stone, compact moorum, soft conglomerate or loose boulders, disintegrated rock, weathered rocks etc., (except hard rock for socketing depth) upto top of socketing depth/founding depth by adopting suitable method with perennial water and disposal of drilling/bored materials to a distance exc. 10.00 km and n.exc 15.0km and depositing where directed, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per Item No.1.005 here-in-before but through rock for founding depth of socketing into the rock shall be minimum 2D (Where D is dia of pile) in mtr or 1.5mtr whichever is higher depth for 800mm nominal dia piles complete.
Notes for Item Nos. 1.005 to 1.006: (i) The depth of boring for piles shall be measured from existing ground/sea bed level/river bed top (as per soundings/reduced levels taken at the commencement of work) to the approved founding level. (ii) It shall be ensured that the waste bentonite slurry/ drilled or bored material is pumped off from the premises to locations shown by GE to contractor at his own cost. The distance mentioned in description of item shall be the shortest distance from the centre of the building. (iii) All channels/tanks made for bentonite circulations shall be filled with approved moorum obtained by contractor from outside MD land of any lead at his own cost after clearing all bentonite cakes. (iv) The contractor may use any approved method as approved by GE for boring without any extra cost to the Govt. The rates for boring of piles shall be inclusive of any method/ casing that may be used by the contractor for bored piles. Nothing extra shall be paid. (v) For the purpose of payment of boring/drilling, description of hard rock shall be as given in particular specification. (vi) The rates quoted by the contractor shall be inclusive of the rates for the shifting and setting up of piling rig as many times as required. (vii) Rates for bentonite slurry wherever required shall be included of quoted rate.
Carrying out initial load tests on test piles in land as per standard procedure laid down in IS-2911 (Part IV) 1985 by static load test method including compressive strength including construction of test cap, dismantling the cap after the test and clearing the site and maintaining complete records of load settlements etc. as specified and as directed by GE and submission of reports for a test load of 794.80 ton in non-working areas in the vicinity, including the cost of new piles for 800mm dia with specification as same as working pile with minimum depth of socketing into the rock 2D (Where D is dia of pile) Mtr or 1.5mtr whichever is higher depth, complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Carrying out routine load test (working pile) as per standard procedure given in IS-2911 (Part IV) 1985 by static test method for 800mm dia Piles for a test load of 476.88 tons complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-In-Charge
Removal of excavated soil (all type of soil) to a distance exc. 10.0 Km but n. exc. 15.0 Km and depositing where directed complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Notes:- (i) Tenderer shall obtain sanction from GVMC for designated places before quoting the tender. If designated place may be varied during execution, no claim shall be entertained on this account. (ii) Approval if any to be obtained from GVMC for dumping the excavated material at GVMC designated places, the same shall be obtained by the contractor. Nothing extra shall be paid on this ground.
M&L for sand filling under floors or pavings or in foundations laid in layers n.exc. 15cm thick spread, levelled and rammed including watering complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for PCC 1:4:8 type D2 (using 40mm graded Granite stone aggregate) as in foundation, filling, mass concrete and underneath pile caps, suspended flooring/slab, beams, plinth protection, surface channels, drains etc. complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
M&L for PCC (1:5:10) type E2 (using 40mm graded Granite stone aggregate) (as in Sunken floors) as in foundation, filling, mass concrete and underneath pile caps, suspended flooring/slab, beams, plinth protection, surface channels, drains etc. complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
M&L for PCC type B1 1:2:4 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) in haunching/benching or coping including necessary form work complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
M&L for PCC (1:2:4) type B1 (20mm graded granite stone aggregate) in lintels upto 1.5m clear span, cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, water troughs, benching/ haunching and the like including necesarry form work and weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
M&L for PCC 1:3:6 type C1 (using 20mm graded granite stone aggregate) as in surface channels, drains etc., complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Extra for forming fair finished drain or channel 30 cm inner girth in cement concrete, using extra cement, including forms, moulds, mitred/stopped ends complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-In -Charge.
M&L for providing precast cement concrete (RCC) 1:2:4 type B1 (20mm graded granite stone aggregate) in cover slabs for manholes/drains, chullah hoods, chajjas, water troughs, mangers, shelves, baffle wall and similar articles set in CM 1:4 with plain fair faces, including necessary formwork etc., complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Reinforcement shall be measured and paid for separately under respective item of schedule 'A'
M&L for Reinforced cement concrete (Ready mix concrete) by design mix M-40 grade (Using 20mm graded granite stone aggregate) as in bore holes using Portland slag cement and admixture Auramix 400 of Fosroc/Smartcare maximo plast PX range of Asian paint or equivalent for piles in tremie method including necessary dewatering, formwork, concrete mixed in RMC plant, transporting, placing, compacting, vibrating etc., complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
Notes: (i) Design mix shall be as per IS-456-2000 and max size of aggregate shall not exceed 20mm and the slump shall be 150 to 180mm. (ii) Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately. (iii) Unit rate shall be deemed to include interalia for preliminary design mix, works test cubes as specified. (iv) Minimum cement content shall be 400 Kg/ Cu.m. of concrete for M40 (Piles) using Portland slag cement with minimum slag content of 50% (fifty percent) (v) Admixture shall be added as per manufacturer instructions. The rate for admixture Auramix 400 of Fosroc/Smartcare maximo plast PX range of Asian paint or Equivalent shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (vi) The unit rate shall be deemed to include for carrying out non-destructive integrity test for 100% of the total number of piles as per IS 14893-2001 shall be done by Government Engineering College / IIT Chennai in the presence of contractor and the test results shall be vetted by the same authorities. Cost of testing is include in the quoted rates. (vii) In case at the time of mix design cement content is increased beyond minimum content given above, no extra payment will be made. (viii) Standard manufactured cover blocks as per IS should be used, Site cast cover blocks shall not be used.
M&L for Reinforced cement concrete of grade M-40 (Design mix using 20mm graded granite stone aggregate) using ready mix concrete including supply and mixing of admixtures, as in foundations, including rafts, footings, foundation beams, plinth beams, bases for columns, pile caps, suspended floor beams & slabs, plinth protection, basement slabs, under-reamed piles etc. using Portland slag cement and handling, conveyance, errection with alignment in true position complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
All as per item No.1.021 here-in-before but slab supported on walls, beams and columns in floors, roofs, landings, balconies, canopies, duct slab and in shelves and the like complete.

Chipping off laitance concrete in piles above cut off level upto a maximum of 1m from cut off level and disposal of debris to a distance exc. 10.0Km but n. exc. 15Km and depositing at locations as approved by GVMC.
M&L for Brick work using fly ash bricks, straight or curved on plan exc. 6 metre mean radius built in cement mortar 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Door Frame of cross section 90mm x 45mm having single rebate of 32mm x 15mm to receive shutter of 30mm thickness. The laminate shall be moulded with fire resistant grade unsaturated polyester resin and chopped mat. Door frame laminate shall be 2mm thick and shall be filled with suitable wooden block in all the three legs. The frame shall be covered with fiber glass from all sides. M.S. stay shall be provided at the bottom to steady the frame., complete as specified by the manufacturer and as per directions of Engineer-in-charge.
S&F 30mm thick Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) panelled door shutter of approved colour, brand and manufacture, made with fire - retardant grade unsaturated polyester resin, moulded to 3mm thick FRP laminate for forming hollow rails & styles, with wooden frame and suitable blocks of seasoned wood inside at required places for fixing of fittings, cast monolithically with 5mm thick FRP laminate for panels conforming to IS: 14856, including fixing to frames, complete all as per manufacturer instructions and as directed by Engineer- in-charge.

Notes:- (i) Rate shall be inclusive of cutting the liner at cut off level. The rate is deemed to include for cutting, removal and salvage value of the material so obtained. (ii) MS liner shall be driven upto refusal level/rock touch level, the occurrence of refusal level will be decided by GE at site based on visual inspection of bailer samples from pile bore hole, past experience and laboratory test result. The decision of GE in this regard will be final and binding. (iii) MS liner will be measured and paid up to the cut off level only of pile. Additional MS liner if used for convenience of construction shall be included in the rates quoted. Nothing extra shall be paid separately on this account.

Material and labour for water proofing treatment including preparation of surfaces as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terrace etc., consisting of following sequences of operations on RCC surfaces; (a) Roof slab shall be cleaned thoroughly and apply cement slurry @3 kg/sqm. (b) Clean the surfaces thoroughly and apply bitumen primer @ 0.4 kg/ sqm. (c) Polymeric water proofing (Actatic poly propelene) membrane weight not less than 3 kg/ Sqm and minimum 3mm thick reinforced with polyester non woven fabric (non woven fabric wt. not less than 150 gms/sqm) shall be laid over the entire surfaces. (d) A coat of bituminous aluminium paint @ 0.1 kg/sqm complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-In -Charge. (e) Ponding test as specified complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-In -Charge. (f) Each strip shall overlap the preceding one by atleast 10 cm at the longitudinal edges and 15 cm at the ends. Note:- Quoted rate is deemed to include the cost of all sequences mentioned above including preparation of surfaces.

M&L for exposed metal frame ceiling with calcium silicate board of minimum 12mm thick, of siliceous and calcareous material reinforced with cellulose fibre for fixing in frame work of anodised aluminium snap grid of size 600 mm x 600mm and Hangers 6 mm dia. G.I. (upto 1200mm length) adjusting level fixed to roof slabs by means of ceilling cleats made out of G.I. flat 40 x 3 mm size 60mm long and expansion hold fasteners 12.5mm dia. 40mm long, complete all as specified and as directed.
M&L for machine cut kota stone slab 18 to 20 mm thick as in floors over cement screed base laid and jointed with grey cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slab including rubbing and mirror polishing, complete all as specified and as directed.
All as per item No. 1.059 here-in-before but work on vertical surfaces such as in skirtings and risers of steps etc complete. Notes for Item Nos 1.059 and 1.060 :- Quoted rate is deemed to include the cost rounding/chamfering of edges wherever required.
