REPAIR TO FLEXIBLE SURFACE OF RUNWAY, PAINTING ETC AND APPLICATION OF PME AT ATC DISPERSAL AT AF STN JODHPUR

M&L for preparation of old concrete/bitumen surfaces on rigid/Taxi track by brushing, washing, rubbing by gunny bags over 10 cm width or girth of any description and applying one coat of 1st quality exterior weather proof water base emulsion on lines, dashes arrows, letters etc any paint all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item No 1.00 above but n exc 10 cm width or girth all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for preparation of old concrete/bitumen surfaces on rigid/ flexible portion of Runway/Taxi track by brushing, washing, rubbing by gunny bags over 10 cm width or girth of any description and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint to lines. Dashes, arrows letter etc (First quality) any tint paint all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item No 3.00 above but n exc 10 cm in width or girth when unconnected with other painting or when painted in a different tint all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for cleaning the surface by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with compressor air blower to remove all loose dust and dirt etc/taking out dust/ existing material with compressed air and making the surface free from dust, drying the surface and applying Two coats of polymeric modified emulsion (PME) by using self propelled emulsion distribution uniformly or towed emulsion pressure sprayer , equipped for spraying the PME uniformly and mopping the total undiluted PME @ 1.00 litre per sqm in two coats in ratio 1:1 (PME: water) and ensure uniform finish of total area complete all as specified and directed. Note: The tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting rate for the above item:- (i) No price adjustment shall be applicable if excess quantity of polymer modified emulsion (PME) shall be used, depending upon condition of existing flexible surface. (ii) Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up to 6mm wide with 2.36 mm size coarse sand mixed with PME as per manufacturers instructins and quoted rate shall be included for same.

Material and Labour Chipping and/or neatly Cutting of existing loose concrete at cracks on Runway/Taxi track/ pavement by using diamond cutter. Cutting of cracked portion shall not be less than 100 mm wide and 45 mm deep. Cleaning the dirt and all loose material fanned with air blower and air blasting the cleaned surface applying proprietary primer on surfaces to obtained tack and finally filling in Elastomeric Concrete, (Mix shall be prepared as per manufacturer) to obtained a true surface and finally tooling the set surface with hand tools complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The rate shall be include for providing masking tape at joints and formwork required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to be included for making good to disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall only be procured directly from manufacturer.

Material and Labour Cutting existing loose patches / spalled edges of concrete pavement in square / rectangular/ triangular shape to a depth not less than 25mm removing debris out side MD land sweeping the patches with broom, cleaning with compressed air and applying epoxy resin mortar (proportion as specified) incl necessary form work for sides of joints, sprinkle , a thin layer of dust free fine sand (QUARTS SAND 10 No) and applying a coat on top of surface with epoxy resin primer @ 0.45 Kg/Sqm and finally filling the joints with sealing compound complete all as spd and as directed by Engr-in-Charge (Sealing of joint shall be measured under respective item separately).

M&L for raking out of bituminous compound from existing joints of dimension (appx) 12mm wide and 25 mm deep on flexible surface, removing the debris, dust, grease, any previous sealants and foreign material clean thoroughly the surface by wire brushing, compressed air, grit blasting or grinding, ensure dried and cleaned bonding surface in all joints and treating sides and bottom of the joints with primer as per manufacturer's directions filled with preformed closed cell polyethylene backup rod/strip of size as per joint width, sealing the joints with MarutiSeal PU 2K-Black or equivalent as per manufacturer’s directions. Material shall conforming to BS 5212 : 1990, EN-14187-P-5 and IRC 57-2006, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for clearing/cutting bushes, scrubs, grass, vegetation from side/berms of storm water drains and runway shoulders and adjoining area by manual means including transport for removing the same to out side MOD land complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer -in - Charge.

Supply and fixing in repairs taxiway / runway sign board having UV protected face plate on both sides not more than 1.0Sqm each consisting of non-metallic materials support structure having min tensile strength 4000.00 Kg/ Sqcm impact strength of 139.00 Kg/Sqcm, and able to withstand wind speed of 30m/s, with high intensity prismatic grade retro reflective sheeting as base and with cut out message (legends boarders letters numerals etc) sign board frame shall fixed in frangible coupling embedded in PCC 1:2:4 type B1 block of size 15cm x 15cm x 15cm complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. NOTE FOR ALL ABOVE ITEMS:- The work will be carried out as per user requirement from 1830 hrs to 0600 Hrs. The deployment of labour and T&P arrangement on the Runway shall be intimated to the contractor by 0800 Hrs each day in the morning. The contractor shall be provide necessary arrangement such as lights, T&P etc and quote the rate accordingly for considering late working hours at night. Nothing extra will be paid on this account.
