Incremental rate for every Km or part thereof over item 1002 for leading cut spoils beyond 200 M for making formation in filing.
Providing and laying blanketing materials of specifications as per RDSO guidelines for design /Construction of formation on Indian Railway track issued vide letter no. RS/G/108/Heavy Axle Load dated 26.10.2016, using well graded granular material having Cu>7, Cc between 1 and 3, fines (passing 75 microns) between 3% to 10%, minimum Soaked CBR value of 25 and compacted at 100% of MDD in layers of maximum 30 cm thickness in loose state using graders and compaction 3 using vibratory compactors, top and side dressing to provide final formation as per designed profile. The rate shall not include compaction, which shall be paid separately. NOTE: 1) If naturally available materials do not meet the laid down specifications, the blanket material has to be produced by mechanical process using mechanical crushing or mechanical blending method or combination of these two methods as given in the Appendix-C of RDSO Guidelines and Specifications for Design of Formation for Heavy Axle Load -2009. The rate for this item is inclusive of the production of material by mechanical process as per above mentioned RDSO guidelines and in case such mechanical process is not required to be used in providing and laying of blanketing material due to availability of natural blanketing material conforming to laid down specifications, the rate of this item shall be reduced by Rs. 250/- per cum. 2) The filter criteria and minimum EV2 Criteria as mentioned in the guidelines of 2009 is not applicable. 3) The rate shall include cost of all field and laboratory tests except CBR tests which will be paid vide separate BOQ item. 4) The Latest guidelines for Design / Construction of formation on Indian Railway track, issued vide RDSO lr. No. RS/G/108/Heavy axle load dated 26.10.2016 shall be adopted for this item. The basic instructions (other than those contained in the latest guidelines dated 26.10.2016) detailed in GE: G-1 of 2003 and GE:0014 of 2009 shall continue to apply. Mechanical Compaction of Earth and Blanket materials in layers of about 30 CM (or more or less) in loose state using vibratory compactor (of adequate capacity) so as to achieve 4 compaction as per RDSO Guidelines and Specification for Design of Formation for Heavy Axle Load - Nov 2009. Minimum EV2 Criteria as mentioned in the guidelines is not applicable. Note: The payment for compaction shall be based on the computed quantity of earth work/blanket work from the cross sections. The payment, however, will be restricted only to the approved design profiles furnished by the Engineer; or the actual quantity executed whichever is less.

NS-04/1A: Providing, fixing and erceting barricade for protecting the existing running track from any infringment, damage by running vehicle like, trucks, tippers, heavy machinery, consisting of pre cast posts made up with M.S.angle 1625mm long of size 50x50x6mm embedded in precast concrete block of size 300x300x450mm (M20 grade concrete with 20mm metals) spaced at 3m interval up to a height of 1.2m above existing formatiion. Barricading of two types. Type-1 to be provided for embankment and cutting in ordinary soil, Type-II to be provided for cutting in hard rock and boulder. Ty-1 consists of fixing of plastic marker type 62mm minimum width in two rows as shown in drawing and yellow retro reflective tape 75mm wide sticker to each angle at two locations. 15 ty-2 barricading consists of chain linking fabric fencing mesh of size 50x50mm made of GI wire of 4mm dia.between vertical posts in addition to plastic marker tape 62mm wide and yellow retro reflective tape 75mm wide as above. Trenching and embedding of precast posts upto 450mm below existing formation, rigid binding of all structural members of barricading in position as per the directives of the engineer incharge. The rate includes cost of cement and all materials, all labour, all taxes transportion to the site of the wotk, loading, unloading, ascent,descent tools and plants, digging of trenches, tight packing surrounnding the posts, dismantling anfd taking away after completion of the work, refilling the trenches after dismantling and making the formation good etc. complete as per the drawing in joint safety circular No. 01/2014 of E.co.Railway dated 18.03.2014.The rate is also inclusive of providing two guy posts at every 6th posts as shown in the above drawing.
