Material and labour for plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-0(using 12.5mm graded crushed stone aggregates) as in coping, roof pading, roof kerb or mud stops, water through, benching and like, including weathering slightly, rounded or chamfered angle and throating with necessary form work, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for 15mm thick screed bed/bedding layer in CM (1:4) mixed with water proofing compound as per manufacturer's instruction after applying neat cement slurry @ 3Kg/Sqm on concrete surfaces of roof, including wire brushing sweeping, cleaning, washing down to remove all loose dust etc. and preparing roof surfaces, complete all as specified and directed. Note :- 1. Supply only water proofing compound will be measured and paid for separately.

Material and labour for cutting groove in brick wall, 75 mm wide and 65 mm deep, for inserting APP membrane and shaping horizontal face of groove with cement mortar (1:3), and removal of rubbish outside defence land complete all as specified and directed

Material and labourfor water proofing treatment of RCC roof consisting as under:- (a) Applying evenly hot blown bitumen having penetration value 30/40 @ 1.20 Kg per Sqm over a coat of bituminous primer conforming to IS-3384:1986 @ 0.30 litre/Sqm including preparation of roof surfaces (b) A layer of 3mm thick APP polymeric membrane of weight not less than 3.60Kg/sqm, reinforced with polyester non-woven fabric (weight not less than 160gm/sqm), duly sealed at over laps (100mm side lap and 150 mm end lap ) & joints with flame (by torch application) all as per manufacturer’s instructions, complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 1.07 here-in-before but on vertical surfaces.

Material and Labour, 25 cm x 25cm x 22 mm thick plain cement concrete tiles with grey cement and no pigment, machine pressed, set, jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry on roofs, complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 1.09 here-in-before but using old serviceable tiles retrieved from item No 1.01 above.

Material and Labour for cutting out cracks to 'V'-section in existing RCC roofs or terracing, cleaning out , wetting, grouting with cement slurry 1:3, complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of lime concrete /lean concrete/ brick bats (above ground level) in sunken portion of slab, including removal of rubbish outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of brick masonry work built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars, staging etc. and removal of rubbish outside MOD land, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for roughening/preparing of surfaces of concrete floor/slab/wall by wire brushing, sweeping, cleaning and washing down to remove all loose dust etc, and brushing neat cement slurry @ 3.00 kg/Square Metre on floor/roof surfaces, complete all as specified and directed.

Water proofing treatment to sunken portion of WCs, bathroom etc. by applying coating of cement slurry mixed with Acrylic based polymer modified cementitious composite compound of make as approved inTechnical instruction 5/ 2003 as detailed hereunder:- (a) Applying 15 mm thick plaster (1:4) in cement sand mortar with integral water proofing compound 2% by weight of cement on floor and wall, finishing the surfaces even and smooth wiithout using extra cement. The surface shall then be cured and allowed to dry. (b) First layer of slurry of cement @ 0.488 Kg/Sqm mixed with Acrylic based polymer modified cementitious composite compound @ 0.253 Kg/Sqm. This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hrs. (c) Second layer of slurry of cement @ 0.242 Kg/Sqm mixed with Acrylic based polymer modified cementitious composite compound @ 0.126 Kg/Sqm. This layer will be allowed to air cure for 4 hours followed with water curing for 48 hours.

Material and labour for plain cement concrete 1:5:10 type E-2 using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in sunken portion of slab/ floor, finished the surface even & fair, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for for 25 mm thick plain cement concrete (1:2:4) type B-0 using 12.5 mm graded crushed stone aggregates as in floor, finished the surface even & rough to receive the bedding mortar, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only integral water proofing compound, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for 18 to 20mm thick Granite black/brown in colour (of any type), (table rubbed and polished), machine cut, as on cooking platforms, window cills, steps and like, edges of stone slabs rounded, set in neat grey cement slurry @ 3Kg/Sqm, laid over and including 15mm thick bedding layer in cement mortar (1:4), including pointing in white cement (1:2) using marble dust with admixture of pigment to match with shade of granite, complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of reinforced concrete of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for, in ground floor, Ist floor, in isolated wall/windows, chajjas, balconies, precast cover slab etc and removing rubbish out sie MoD land, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for point wiring with single core multi stranded copper conductor 1.5 Sqmm (nominal area) PVC insulated unsheathed FRLS colour code cable of 1100 volts grade drawn through and including PVC casing and caping medium duty of suitable size with all standard fittings, including new sunken terminal boxes duly epoxy painted, 3mm thick hylum sheet for mounting switch/sockets etc including 1.5 Sqmm (nominal area) multi stranded copper conductor PVC insulated unsheathed FRLS colour code cable of 1100 volts grade for earth continuity, as for one light/exhaust fan/bell point or fan point (through regulator), controlled by one switch, complete all as specified and directed. Note : (i) Switches and fan regulator etc., shall be measured and paid separately.

Material and labour for earthing complete with GI earth plate electrode of size 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically (depth of pit not less than 2.25 m below normal ground level), with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, earth plate surrounded from all sides by 15cm thick packed alternate layers of charcoal dust and common salt, electrode connections using galvanized iron wire 4mm dia (upto body of equipment) by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts & GI washers, connected to main switch board or main control board or test point, protected by galvanized iron pipe light grade 40mm dia bore, and watering pipe 20mm dia bore GI medium grade with funnel & wire mesh including all necessary excavation & earth work, PCC chamber in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 & RCC cover, all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES Schedule Part-I (2009), testing on completion, complete all as specified and directed. Note(s) :- (i) RCC pit cover shall be pre-cast of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1, 80mm thick reinforced with XPM not less than 4Kg/Sqm. (ii) PCC chamber shall be constructed 500 mm away from the edge of earth pit. (iii) Rate shall include GI strip and protection pipe of length 7.5m, excess beyond 7.5m length required at site shall be measured and paid separately. (iv) Earth resistance should be less than 3Ohm. In case the test results are not found below 3Ohm, complete earthing will be redone without any extra cost to Govt.

Taking up or down existing steel tubing of 40/50 mm bore including connections and refixing same after cleaning or removal from site to store for reuse or credit, complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing galvanized steel water tubes 40 mm bore, medium grade, with all standard fittings such as bends, elbows, tees etc, laid in trenches, in floor/ under road, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE :- Excavation & earth work shall be measured and paid for seperately.

Supply and fixing galvanized steel water tubes 25 mm bore, medium grade, with all standard fittings such as bends, elbows, tees etc, laid in trenches, in floor/ under road, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE :- Excavation & earth work shall be measured and paid for seperately.

Supply and fixing Gun-metal globe or gate valves, half turn, screwed down, high pressure,heavy duty, ISI marked , with MS handle, screwed both ends for iron pipe or for unions of 40 mm bore, including taking down old & removal, complete all as specified and directed.

COMMON ITEMS FOR EXTERNAL WATER SUPPLY WORK

Excavation in trenches in soft/loose soil not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and not exceeding 1.5 metre deep for laying/taking out of cables, pipes, foundation of poles etc. and getting out, complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming excavated soil in layers not exceeding 25cm thick each, excavated soil in trenches after pipes have been laid and tested complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil surplus soil to a distance n.exe 50 Mtr and depositing where directed at a level n. exe 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.
