A. CIVIL WORKS SECTION 1 - Underwater works and temporary slope protection works

Carriage of Geo Bags of size 1.03 x 0.70 m including loading & unloading, Stacking, etc. complete and including hire charge of truck with driver and handyman cost of POL etc. completed as directed. (Carriage from Goalpara Water Resources. Godown, Goalpara Town Protection Area, Near Bara Bazaar to Stackyard for an average distance of 5.00 km)

Collection and supply of River silt by truck carriage free from debries and other foreign material, etc. complete as directed. By mechanical Means For initial up to 1.00 Km & for all lifts.

Excavation of specified silt from flood plain or adjacent chars, within a distance of 2000m of the work site and filling geobags of size 1.03M x 0.70M with silt, Weighing the same, for each silt filled bags to weigh 126 kg after filling, stitching the mouth of the filled bags with polypropylene or polyster thread by power driven double needle machine as per drawing and technical specification, stockpiling the same in batches of 100 for easy counting and carrying the same and unloading in the work site or in the dumping pontoon / barge stationed in the work site by engine boat including all loading and unloading, handling charges and any local carriage within a distance of 250m including all lead and lift etc. complete as directed. (Geo bags and polypropylene thread will be supplied by the Deptt. free of cost)

Dumping of sand/silt filled type-A Geo-bags from properly positioned and anchored flat top pontoop / barge over an area specified by bathymetric survey for uniform area coverage along the bank line upto the designed length towards making a provisional falling apron at the end of the section away from bank line including loading, unloading, sequential stacking on the pontoon / barge including mobilisation of all necessary equipment etc. complete as per technical specification and approved design and contractor's method statement, the pontoon (minimum length-30m) position shall be monitored by RTK-GPS or Total Station upto a accuracy of + 10cm and a minimum 30m long barge / pontoon and should cover at least an area of 30m x 20m per working day including the provisional falling apron as per design and technical specification and direction of engineer-in-charge, as per the Specification.

Filling and laying of Geo bags of size 1.03 m × 0.70 m excluding excavation of sand/silt from flood plain or adjacent chars within a distance of 90 m of the work site, filling geo bags with sand/silt having minimum weighing 126.00 Kg and minimum volume 0.084 Cum after filling , double locking chain stitching the mouth of the filled bags with polypropylene thread by power driven double needle double stitched machine, stacking the same in batches of 100, carrying the same to the dumping site including all handling charges and local carriage within a distance of 150 m and laying properly as directed. (Sand/silt, Geo Bag and Polypropylene thread will be supplied by the department free of cost) With Engine Boat

Earthwork in bank trimming to the designed section/slope by mechanical means including removing the trimmed soils to a minimum distance of 30 m, complete as directed.

Filling and laying in cage with sand/silt filled Geo bags of size 1.03 m × 0.70 m excluding excavation of sand/silt from flood plain or adjacent chars within a distance of 90 m of the work site, filling geo bags with sand/silt having minimum weighing 126.00 Kg and minimum volume 0.084 Cum after filling, double locking chain stitching the mouth of the filled bags with polypropylene thread by power driven double needle machine, stacking the same in batches of 100, carrying the same to the dumping site including all handling charges and local carriage within a distance of 150 m and laying properly. in cages made of wire netting sheets of size 2.57 × 1.66 m of 8 G galvanized wire making the cage from 2 nos. of wire netting sheet by tying the projected wires complete as directed. (Geo Bag, Wire Netting Sheets and Polypropylene thread will be supplied by the department free of cost) Without Boat

Construction and supply of Wire -netting box of size 1.50m × 1.50 m × 0.45 m made with mechanically woven, double twisted, hexagonal shaped wire mesh with wire made of low carbon, high ductile MS wire with heavy class of galvanization with an additional layer of PVC coating with mesh type of 10 × 12 as per EN 10223 & ASTM A975, mesh wire of 2.70 mm (I.D) /3.70 mm (OD) tensile strength of 450-500/mm2, edge wire selvedge around it at least 2.5 times, lacing wire (zinc PVC coated ) of 2.20mm (I.D) /3.20mm (OD), VC coating thickness of 0.50mm nominal, 0.38 mm minimum, Mesh opening size 150mm × 150mm and with average weight per unit being 12 kg with additional 3% of the weight of box for lacing wire supplied separately, supporting the facing of the box with zinc coated steel wire of required length as directed, complying with ASTM and European norms.

Providing and laying of PCC block of size 0.3 m × 0.3 m× 0.3 m, made in proportion 1:2:4 on trimmed graded slope of river bank including ramming the seat, curing, carriage of the block from the place of casting up to a distance of 200 m to the work site and all handling charges, etc. and complete as directed.

Collection of broken stone metal of size 13 mm. to 38 mm in average free from dust, dirt and other foreign materials including local carriage and stacking in regular measurable stacks of approximate 1(one) m. height at quarry site, etc. complete as directed.

Labour charge for making filter bed of required thickness with stone metal of size 13mm to 38 mm over the trimmed surface of riverbank/embankment, slope, including site carriage of metal within a distance of 150m etc. complete as directed. Without boat

B. ENVIRONMENTAL MITIGATION AND MONITORING MEASURES

Provision for compensatory plantation (1:10) measures, monitoring and maintenance during construction period

Obtaining and submission of copies to Engineer all consents, permits, clearances, no objection clearances or NOCs, tree cutting permissions, and other relevant permits from various authorities before the start of construction

Disposal of existing old geo-bags and other materials used as temporary anti-erosion and flood protection measures, and disposal of all solid wastes during construction to designated locations and/or use of local municipal services (payable at completion of works)

Provision of all requisite facilities (i.e. drinking water supply, sanitation, domestic solid waste collection & disposal, fuel supply etc.) at construction camps.

Rehabilitation of borrow areas and other impacted lands in line with WRD guidelines, and decommissioning of construction camp before handling over the subproject (payable at completion of works).

Traffic management at work sites (i.e. pavement markings, channelizing devices, arrow panels and warning lights) along with construction and/or strengthening of landing ghats for barges

Water sprinkling for dust suppression, barricading, temporary noise barriers, and provision of personal protective equipment (such as boots, life-saving-jackets, etc.)

Air quality monitoring for PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NOX, CO, Pb

Noise levels monitoring for Noise levels in dB (A) for day, night, L10, L90, Lmax, Lmin

Surface water quality monitoring for pH, BOD, COD, TDS, TSS, DO, Oil and grease and other physio-chemical and biological parameters

Drinking water monitoring for pH, BOD, TDS, DO, Fl, Cl, As, Cd, MG, Mn, total coliform and other physio-chemical and biological parameters

Groundwater monitoring for pH, BOD, TDS, DO, Fl, Cl, As, Cd, MG, Mn, total coliform and other physio-chemical and biological parameters

Soil quality monitoring for NPK & heavy metals, grease and other baseline parameters
