Labour charge for cleaning of drains on mentioned roads of I/A . The scope of the above said works consists of as below:- a.Cleaning/de-silting of sludge from drains manually/mechanically as per site condition on the satisfaction of engineer-in-charge. The sludge/silt from the drain shall be done in such a way that bottom of the drain is shown/visible to the engineer in charge. b.Transportation of excavated sludge/silt after proper drying in a specified purpose vehicle duly covered with PVC/polythene sheet so as to avoid foul spreading on the way from the site to the place as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. c.The excavated sludge/silt shall be transported at an earliest after getting it dried for making it transportable. If the same is not disposed/transported within three days after drying, an amount of Rs. 5000.00 per km of drain shall be levied & same be deducted from the running bills. d.If any type of covering has been done on the drain, same shall be removed by the contractor at his own cost & same shall be refixed as original after de-silting of drains by the contractor at his own cost brought to the notice of engineer-in-charge. e.If at any instance it is found by the contractor that polythene begs/waste material from the plant is mixed/thrown directly in the drains effecting the easy flow of the drain, then same shall be incharge immediately so that action may be initiated against the party as per RIICO rules. f.If during de-silting/sludge removal, any drain is damaged by the contractor due to negligence, the shall be repaired by the contractor, if not attended by the contractor within ten days same shall be got repaired by corporation at risk & cost of the contractor without any notice. g.Being an urgent nature of work, if the same is not executed by the contractor to the satisfaction of engineer-in-charge or corporation, the work shall be rescined immediately without any notice & same shall be got executed at his risk & cost. h.The contractor shall ensure that all the inlets of the drain like weep holes/inlets at top are properly cleaned so as not to interrupt the flow of water from the road to inside of drain. The work shall be executed on important drains situated on roads as decided/assigned by engineer-in-charge as below: (A)Sizes of the drain to be cleaned are as follows :- for the drain having top width upto 0.60m
