Excavation in earth work in hilly area in all heights and depths in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock all work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side,water pollution, etcetra and to protect stability of hill side rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation including rock excavation shall be carried, out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformit with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road. clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of General conditions for contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials upto all lead and lifts in specified manner i/c arrangement of dumping site trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer -in -Charge for smooth riding. The recovery for stones,whether useful or not, for 431.35cum (four hundred thirty one point thirty five cubic metre) in all cases, @ rupees 170/- only(Rupees one hundred seventy only) per cubic meter shall be effected on pro- rata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall compensated by him in all cases.

Earthwork in excavation for all type of road structures such as retaining wall, breast wall, culvert, drain and parapets etc. in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordinary soil, ordinary rock, hard rock chiesling / wedging out rocks (where blasting is prohibeted) as per drawing and technical specification true to lines and grades. Dimesions and other particulars as per drawing and Technical Specification Clause 305.1(Three hundred Five point One) including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto all lead and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling in trenches with excavated suitable material. All work of excavation by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosions, damage to hill side, water pollutions etc., and to protect stability of hill side rock. Stacking of materials useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unserviceable excavated materials in specified manners to dumping site(to be arranged by the contractor), trimming, filling of unevenness blindages and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge if the foundation of the structure is in an area with stagnant water or water is met with in the excavation due to spring, rain seepage and other causes, it shall be removed by the suitable diversion, bailing out or de watering as directed and the area of the foundation shall be kept dry. Any loss to the public or private property during the course of execution shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him at his own cost of all cases.

Providing and laying Plain Cement Concrete nominal mix 1:4:8 (one cement isto four sand isto eight graded stone aggregate 25mm (twenty five milimeters) nominal size) Mechanically mixed and vibrated for plain/reinforced concrete in / under water and curing complete for 14 (fourteen ) days in open foundations and plinths for all type of structure or similar works like drain etc. including pumping and bailing out water (surface and sub soil water) dewatering for all depth and any quantum of water including removal of slush which may arise at the time of laying under water complete for all height /depth including the cost of form work complete as per drawing and MORD Technical Specification clause 802, 803, 1202 and 1203 (Eight hundred two, eight hundred three, one thousand two hundred two and one thousand two hundred three) or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing and laying Plain Cement Concrete nominal mix 1:3:6 (one cement isto three sand isto six graded stone aggregate 40mm fourty milimeters nominal size) Mechanically mixed and vibrated for plain/reinforced concrete in / under water and curing complete for 14 (fourteen ) days in open foundations and plinths for all type of structure or similar works like drain etc. including pumping and bailing out water (surface and sub soil water) dewatering for all depth and any quantum of water including removal of slush which may arise at the time of laying under water complete for all height /depth including the cost of form work complete as per drawing and MORD Technical Specification clause 802, 803, 1202 and 1203 (Eight hundred two, eight hundred three, one thousand two hundred two and one thousand two hundred three) or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing and laying ( to level or slope) reinforced cement concrete pipe NP2- 900 mm (nine hundred milimeter) diameter for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1:2 (one cement isto two sand) but excluding excavation, protection work, back filling, concrete and masonry work in head walls and parapets as per technical specification clause 1108(one thousand one hundred eight), or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Providing weep holes in brick masonry/stone masonry/plain reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall, return wall with 100mm (one hundred millimeter) dia PVC pipe extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1:20 (One verticle isto twenty horizontal) towards drawing face complete as per drawing and MORD technical specification clause 614, 709, 1204.3.7(six hundred fourteen, seven hundred nine, one thousand two hundred four point three point seven) or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.

Backfilling behind abutment, wing wall and return wall, breast walls, retaining walls and parapets up to all heights, depths and levels complete as per drawings and technical specification clause 1204.3.8 (one thousand two hundred four point three point eight) Granular material, or as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge including carriage of materials with in all leads and lifts and other incidentals.
