REPAIR MAINTENANCE TO THE 33 KV MRS YARDS AND OTHER ALLIED WORKS AT DOLPHIN HILL AREAS UNDER GE UTILITY-I, VISAKHAPATNAM

M & L for dismantling the LT / HT Connections, Earthing, Control Cables carefully from the Transformer installed on Foundation of 33 KV MRS Yard at Dolphin Hill and Loading the 5 MVA capacity Transformer weighing minimum 10200 KG by using suitable Crane on to the Transporting Trolley Vehicle, Transporting the unserviceable Transformer on Trolley Vehicle to Workshop from 33 KV MRS Yard at Dolphin Hill, Loading the 5 MVA Transformer by using suitable Crane on to the Transporting Trolley Vehicle after completion of Repairs at Workshop, Transporting the unserviceable Transformer on Trolley Vehicle to 33 KV MRS Yard at Dolphin Hill from Workshop and unloading and placing it on the Transformer Foundation carefully complete all as specified and as directed. Notes: [a] Cranes used for Loading, Unloading of Transformer on to the Transporting Trolley Vehicle and Transformer Foundation shall not be less than 20 Tons. [b] Any damage to insulators / bushes / windings etc. while in the custody of the contractor shall be made good at no extra cost to the Government. The serviceability of the transformer shall be checked and confirmed by the contractor before taking into his custody. [c] M & L for rewinding / re-insulation of HT / LT [Primary / Secondary] Coils, Bushes, Studs, Transformer Oil, Filtration of Oil, Cable Box, replacement of Buchholz Relay / MOG, repair / servicing of OLTC etc. will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this BoQ.

M & L for carrying out following repairs in 5 MVA capacity Transformer at Dolphin Hill complete all as specified and as directed. [a] Draining out transformer in the suitable capacity of container / drums and keeping it in safe custody for reuse. [b] Opening top cover of the transformer by unscrewing nuts / bolts / washers etc. including disconnecting core assembly from HT / LT bushing and lifting the same gently with the help of crane and taking out from the shell [Container / Body] of the transformer. [c] Visual inspection of entire Core Assembly, Transformer Tank, Core Limbs, OLTC etc., locating the fault / damages. [d] Cleaning the transformer body from inside, removing deposited dirt / sludge / foreign particles etc. from the bottom / body of the transformer, cleaning with CTC and drying up the shell from inside before refilling with the Transformer Oil. [e] Cleaning and washing thoroughly core and serviceable windings of the transformer by hosing down with clean dry oil conforming to IS – 336, removing deposited dirt / sludge / foreign particles from the windings / core through inspection of windings, providing insulations to leads and terminals complete and re-assembling the core including newly winded coils etc.

[f] Heating / drying / baking complete carefully and thoroughly inside the heating chamber at suitable temperature to obtain required value of insulation resistance etc all as per IS. [g] Lifting and refixing core assembly inside the transformer shell gently and carefully connecting Primary / Secondary / Neutral Terminal Connections to the bushings assembly, fixing of Tap changer including tightening of nuts, bolts, washers of the core to reduce humming noise. [h] Refilling the filtered transformer oil in the shell of transformer complete. [i] Refixing the top cover including replacement of Cork Sheet / Gasket 8 mm thick tightening of nuts / bolts / washers etc. and replacement of Breather with Silica Gel. [j] Connecting Primary / Secondary / Neutral connections etc. [k] The inspection of transformer shall involve Checking of all clamps, nuts, bolts including core bolts & cover fixing bolts, Checking all brazing, joints, Tap heads and connection joints, Checking all jumpers, terminations / connections inside the transformer and Checking the Bulcholtz Relay / Conservator MOG if any.

M & L for Painting of Transformer of 2.5 MVA Capacity complete with Two Coats of Synthetic enamel paint externally and painting with a coat of Oil Resistant Paint inside the Transformer Shell complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Painting of Transformer of 5 MVA Capacity complete with Two Coats of Synthetic enamel paint externally and painting with a coat of Oil Resistant Paint inside the Transformer Shell complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for overhauling OLTC of 33 KV / 11 KV Transformer of capacity 2500 KVA by draining out of Transformer Oil, dismantling of top cover, inspection of moving and fixed contacts of all Three Phases and checking the operation, cleaning and removal of contacts of all the Three Phases and checking the operation, cleaning and removal of all carbon particles, Checking the thickness of leads in the OLTC Board, Moving / Fixed Contacts, inspection of Transition Resistance and replacement of Gasket / Contacts etc., if found damaged, reassembling complete, Filling up of Oil, testing complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Spares will be measured and paid separately

M & L for overhauling OLTC of 33 KV / 11 KV Transformer of capacity 5000 KVA by draining out of Transformer Oil, dismantling of top cover, inspection of moving and fixed contacts of all Three Phases and checking the operation, cleaning and removal of contacts of all the Three Phases and checking the operation, cleaning and removal of all carbon particles, Checking the thickness of leads in the OLTC Board, Moving / Fixed Contacts, inspection of Transition Resistance and replacement of Gasket / Contacts etc., if found damaged, reassembling complete, Filling up of Oil, testing complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Spares will be measured and paid separately.

M & L for re-insulating windings of transformers of any capacity / size / type by strip opening of HT/LT Coils [i.e. Primary / Secondary Coils] from Core Assembly, safely unwinding the HT/LT Coils [i.e. Primary / Secondary coils] complete, removing the old defective insulation paper and replacing with new DPC insulation to the copper conductor, varnishing the windings with super varnish etc. complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for Filtration of Transformer Oil of transformers installed at various locations to achieve di-electric strength not less than 60 KV at 2.5mm gap as per relevant IS with Portable Filtration Plant, testing of the oil for the di-electric strength before filtration and after filtration complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and topping up of Transformer Oil with di-electric strength not less than 60 KV in to the Conservator Tank / Body Tank of the Transformer etc. complete all as specified and as directed. Make: Power Oil / Transol / Sabitha Chemicals

M & L for Servicing of 33 / 11 KV CT [Outdoor Type] by Checking CT Limb for any cracks, pitting and burns, Cleaning / Decarbonising the Limbs with CTC, Complete drain out of old insulating oil and filling new Insulator Oil, conducting Ratio Test and Tightening all Primary and Secondary connections complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for repairing & servicing of 33 KV Gang Operated Air Break Isolator & Earth Switch including carrying out following activities complete all as specified and as directed: [a] Cleaning of contact for dust, oxidation & pitting with CTC. [b] Cleaning of all insulators with CTC and observing any cracks and carbon deposits / contents. [c] Repairing, adjusting the rotating arms for perfect operation including lubrication with Petroleum Jelly [d] Repairing / Replacement of Tension Spring in Fixed Contacts. [e] Lubricating of all moving parts for smooth operation. [f] Checking of Auxiliary Contacts and their Calibration [g] Applying Petroleum Jelly to all Electrical Contacts / Moving Contacts. Disconnect and taking out the IDMT/Numeric/Microprocessor based relay of any type of any make from 11 KV HT panel at Dolphin Hill MRS , cleaning the contacts, calibrating the relay by conducting secondary injection test, checking of current transformer, rectification of defects in control wiring for proper tripping of circuit breaker through CTs and relay and tripping coils, adjustment/ setting to plug and time multiplier settings of the relay to achieve the discrimination in tripping, tune/ synchronise upstream breaker relay settings, re-installation of relay, testing & commissioning etc complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- The Contractor has to arrange necessary testing Kits, testing equipments, tools etc. Rental rates for the testing/ calibration kits & connected equipments are deemed to be included in the quoted rate. Testing & tuning shall be carried out in the presence of representative of the Department, to the satisfaction of the Department complete all as specified and as directed.
