REPAIR/MAINT OF DG SETS AT VARIOUS LOCATION UNDER GE (AF) JAMNAGAR NO 1

Maintenance and servicing of 500 KVA DG set of any make Diesel Generator Sets including connected Alternator, Panel Board (AMF/ Non AMF) and carrying out routine 'B' check of the engine complete for smooth functioning all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed NOTES: (i) Control switches such as MCCB, Main switch, contactors, multi display meter and engine control unit shall be out of scope of the item of work and the rate quoted shall inclusive of servicing/ maintenance of the above said fittings

(ii) 'B' check shall be carried out once in every six months or 250 hours of running of DG Set whichever is earlier. Servicing of DG Set along with connected Alternator and Panel Board ,AMF shall also be carried out in that month as directed by the Engineer-in-charge and the Contractor shall carry out periodical inspections during the maintenance period and he shall be responsible for the smooth functioning of the DG set for a period of 30 days from the date of service and shall also attend all the maintenance works as and when required in that period except in case of Major repairs (iii) Spare parts, engine oil and radiator coolant oil required for replacement during the maintenance period shall be measured and paid separately as supply & fix.

(iv) Cost of all consumables required during the maintenance period shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted for this item,contractor to be provided fuel filter, oil filter, water filter,top head gaskets,fuel pipes, battery terminal & battery lead. (v) List of checks to be carried out under 'B' check is attached as Appendix 'B' to the Particular specifications.

Repair / overhauling of following mentioned Self Starter assembly of DG Set by disconnecting and removing from the engine, cleaning of all accessories, replacing of worn out parts such as brushes, bushes, contact plates, jumping leads and seals, revarnishing the field coil, armature and re-assembling the same and re-fixing into the engine including testing all as per manufacturer's instructions and as directed. (a) Self starter assembly, 24 Volt DC 250/320/400/500

Repair / overhauling of following mentioned radiator assembly of DG set by disconnecting and removing from the engine, dismantling the top and bottom chambers, descaling the sediments, scales, corrosion etc. by means of acid, cleaning and high pressure water washing, air cleaning, re-assembling the same with new gaskets including arresting leakages, if any and fixing to the engine with new hoses, clips etc. all as required and as directed. Note: The rate quoted shall be inclusive of transporting of the radiator to the workshop and back and all incidental charges. (a) Radiator assembly320/ 400/500 KVAcapacity

NOTE:-(i) Item No. 1 to 108 if any DG set and connected items becomes breakdown ,the contractor shall locate the problem/Fault at site within 12 hours on intimation by JE/Engineer-in-charge and ensure that the fault and rectified within 48 hours ,failing which an amount of Rs.200/- per hour will be recovered as penal recovery from any payment due to contractor after expiry of 48 hours.
