Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification for Rural Road, clause 1603.1 and 1603.2 of General Conditions for Contract to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner i/c arrangement of dumping site, trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. The quantity of stone that is 1475.62 cum. (One thousand four hundred seventy five point sixty two Cubic Metre) shall be recoverd in all cases, @ ( at the rate) Rupees 170/= only (Rupees one hundred seventy only) per cubic metre on pro rata basis. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Earth work in excavations for all type of road structure such as retaning walls and brest walls, culvert drains and parapets etcetera in all type of classification of soil comprising of ordnary soil, ordinary rocks, hard rocks, chiselling/ wedging out of rocks ( where blasting is prohibited) as per drawing and technical specifications clause 305.1, 1104 and 1606. 1 as per direction of Engineer-in- Charge. including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto alls and lifts including dressing of sides and bottom and backfilling in trenches with excavated suitable approved materials to the orginal surface in layers not exceeding 150mm ( One hundred fity milimetre) compacted thickness including shorting and strutting and pumping and bailing out water ( surface and sub soil water up to all depth and any quantum of water including cleaning of slush which may arise out during dewatering and as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge including carrige of material thourgh all modes of transporation within all leads and lift and other incidentals.
