Dismantling and Removal of decommissioned K1 Boiler and Furnace in Sulphuric Acid Plant, FACT-CD, Ambalamedu.

1.01 Remove Brick Lining of old K1 & Furnace Chipping and Removal and Transportation of Castables, Bricks, Mortar Inside K1 Boiler and Furnace, Work Involves:- Make required arrangements for the work including scaffolding, arranging necessary tools, safety harness etc. Chip and remove entire brick lining, castables and mortar inside boiler and furnace. The chipping and removal shall be done by any suitable method subject to acceptance of work methodology by engineer in charge. The chipped and removed bricks shall be collected and transported to scrap yard after weighing. Arranging mode of loading, movement and unloading chipped bricks, castables etc. viz; back hoe loader, truck etc. shall be in the scope of this contract. All consumables required for the work shall be brought by the contractor. Site shall be cleared off chipped material after completion of work and accepted by plant manager.

Dismantle Coils of old K1 SAP CD Dismantling, Removal and Transportation of Steam Coils From Decommissioned K1 Boiler, Work involves:- Make required arrangements for the work including necessary scaffolding, arranging necessary tools, safety harness etc. After getting process clearances, cut and remove the top cone of boiler shell. Inlet and outlet of steam coils shall be cut to facilitate lifting from the shell. Lift and remove steam coils along with tube sheets one by one from the shell. The steam coils shall be transported and unloaded to earmarked area. Steam coils if required shall be unloaded and preserved at earmarked area as per instructions. Necessary supports / packing shall also be provided if required at no additional cost. Steam coils shall be cut only at the inlet and outlet side. Total 5 nos steam coils are required to be dismantled and lifted from the boiler. Approximate weight of coils from bottom is 6T, 4.75T, 6T, 8.3Tand 8.3T. The coils shall be lifted and transported such that the coils are not damaged. Any temporary support / platforms etc. required for dismantling shall be done by the contractor. Arranging cranes, trucks, trailers of required capacity for lifting, transportation, unloading and positioning of steam coils is in the scope of this contract. All required consumables for the work shall be brought by the contractor. After dismantling of coils any temporary supports shall be removed and site shall be cleared off scrap.

Dismantle Boiler & Furnace old K1 SAP CD Cutting, Dismantling and Transportation of Roof, Shell, Bottom Plate, Structural, Pipelines etc. of Decommissioned K1 Boiler and Furnace, MOC CS / SS, Work involves:- Make required site arrangements for the work including scaffolding inside and outside the boiler and furnace. Cut and dismantle part by part entire roof, shell, end plates structural supports and platforms, end plates, bottom plates, foundation foots, associated pipelines and ducts of K1 boiler and furnace. Cutting and dismantling shall be executed as per the instructions from site in charge. Dismantling and removal of structural roof above the furnace shall be in the scope of this contract. The roofing sheets above the furnace shall also be dismantled and transported to ear marked site at no additional cost. The concrete pillars if required shall also be dismantled as per site instructions. K1 outlet duct shall be cut in single segment. Bottom plate shall be cleared completely from the foundation. Any temporary support required for dismantling of boiler and furnace shall be done by the contractor. The dismantled plates / structures / pipes etc. shall be transported to the scrapyard after weighing. Duct segments etc. after weighing shall be transported to and unloaded at earmarked area with necessary packing /supports as per instructions from engineer in charge. Scope of arranging cuttings gases (oxygen, DA / LPG) for required quantities, cranes, trucks and trailers of various capacities required for cutting, dismantling and transportation and unloading at scrap yard / earmarked area shall be in the scope of this contract. Site shall be cleared after work, dismantle temporary supports if any and any leftover scrap shall be shifted to scrap yard.
