Supply of all materials, labour, T&P, diversion of river water making coffer dam, dewatering etc required for construction of one no circular water tight RCC wet intake well of 6.00 m internal dia & 15.00 m height with Pump house 4.00 m height designed to with stand safely the effects of seismic effect, wind effect and water current forces in THAWADA River near THAWADA Village by well sinking or open excavation as per site requirement on 8 T/m2. Details of works will be as follows----
(a) Testing of bearing capacity of soil from a recognized University in the presence of site in charge.
(b) The detailed structure design and drawing or the foresaid intake well showing all details based on BC report should be supplied by the contractor within 15 days from the date of acceptance .
(c) The floor of intake well shall be 5.00 m below the LWL .
(d) Intake well have 4 nos RCC inlet channels internal size 75cmX 75cm extending radially upto a distance of 4.00m from the outer face of intake well. These inlet channels shall be properly supported and embeded in the river bed. So as to withstand the damaging effects due to excessive water current and flowing debris during floods rainy season. The projected length of the channel out side the wall may vary as per site requirement.
(e) Three nos 150 mm dia GI (Medium) perforated pipes for inlet with proper sluice valve arrangement will be grouted in the intake well at proper place. These pipes will pass through the inlet channels and shall be covered with pebbles around it. The perforated pipes shall be arranged by the contractor.
(f) The RCC shaft of intake well will be one meter above HFL.
(g) The circular pump house above the shaft of intake well will be of 23 cm thick brick masonry in 1:6 cement and coarse sand mortar.
(h) The floor of pump house i.e. deck floor slab capable of accommodating to motors of 440 LPM discharge and pumping head 65mtrs V.T. pumps shall have 0.6m opening on either side of the centre of floor throughout the dia as shown in drawing. This opening will also provide acess for the stair case . The opening will covered by the MS Jal as per direction of Engineer –in-charge.
(i) One meter wide circular balcony shall be provided all around the outer face of intake well shaft. This balcony shall have 1.2 m high, RCC railing post at a distance of not more than 2.5m. The railing post shall support three rows of 20mm dia GI pipe of medium quality, the pipe will be supplied by the contractor.
(j) The roof of pump house will be 4.50 m above the floor level of pump house and will be projected 1.00m all around the outer face of wall of pump house will proper slope for drainage.
(k) One M.S. girder of suitable size and 6.50 m length will be fixed 30 cm below the roof level along the diameter of pump house in the centre of opening left in the floor of pump house. (item no ‘h’) as per direction of Engineer – in –charge.
(l) The Pump house will be provided with one door of 1.2m x2.1m and 3 fully glazed windows of 1.2m x 1.8m. The door and windows will be provided with 50x50x6 mm angle iron frame,1mm thick MS sheet door and glazed Z- section window of 4 mm thick glazing or as per direction op Engineer in charge as per site requirement .
(m) Suitable provision for 2.50 m wide and 15m span RCC foot bridge for making approach path to intake well shall be made with railing of 20 mm dia GI (M) pipe in 3 rows and RCC railing posts, pipes to be arranged by the contractor.
(n) All masonry works should be plastered on both face with 1:6 cement, coarse sand, mortar 20 mm thick.
(o) Three coat of approved snowcem shall be done on exposed surface of intake well and pump house. All railing and wood work or steel works shall be painted with one coat of approved primer and two coats of approved with colour paint. The ladders/ railings of intake well shall be painted with anticorrosive paint. Two coats and over two coats of enamel paint, Inside the pump house one coat whitewash and two coats of dry distemper, three coats of whitewash on ceiling shall be done as per instruction of Engineer –in- Charge.

It is estimated that 75% excavation will be in soil mixed with shingle, bajari & boulders and rest 25% in medium rocks. API Pipe will be laid at 1.00 M depth from ground level.

Design, Supply of all materials, labour, T&P. etc to construct a water treatment plant (WTP) to treat 0.40MLD water (Source at Thawada River Near Thawada) based on rapid gravity filtration. The design of filter plant has to be done on the based on CPHEEO manual for Water Supply and Treatment. The filter plant should consists of inlet chamber, flow measuring device, presettling tanks (2 units), mixing units, flocculation unit, secondary settling tank (2 units), rapid gravity filter (minimum 2 filter beds), clear water chamber including all piping, valves, RCC back wash tank, double storey building (minimum 30 sqm) one floor will be used for office and other floor will be used for chemical room). Each floor height should be minimum 3.30 m. The work also include 60 cm apron and 15 cm semicircular PC drain all around all units and including overall drainage of water treatment campus upto outside 5 m of campus boundary. The work should also include internal electrification of all units as well as external electrification as per requirement of site. The work also include 1 m inter connecting RCC/CC path ways to all units as per site requirement. The work also include necessary excavation as per requirement and development of water treatment plant and disposal of surplus earth from site of work to suitable available place but excluding the cost of protection works, boundary wall and gates, which will be executed separately as per approved layout and design of treatment plant. The contractor is advised to inspect the site of work. No excuse and request to change the site, rates and demand of extra rates will be entertained at later stage. he rates shall be including of running and maintenance for one year including training of Peyjal Nigam staff during running and maintenance period of treatment works including all performance test of clarifier, settler, filters and quality of filtered water as per water supply manual.

OPERATION & MAINTENANCE
OPERATION & MAINTENANCE - (For Intake well, MPS, IPS.) - One Job For Each stage
After testing & commissioning of scheme running & maintenance of scheme by running pumping plant for 16 hrs per day (for a period of 6 months or complete Distribution line testing of civil works which over later ) including supply of skilled O&M staff, account maintenance including supply of all materials, labour, T&P etc. complete but excluding electricity charges for pumping of water.
