Appendix D- Earthwork for Road Work

3.6:Excavation for roadwork in soil with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cum bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections, and transporting to the embankment location within all lifts and lead upto 1000m

3.8.A:Excavation for roadway in hard rock (blasting prohibited) with rock breakers including breaking rock, loading in tippers and disposal within all lifts and lead upto 1000 metres, trimming bottom and side slopes in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections. Mechanised

Base and Surface course

OD147211/2021-2022:Carrying out rehabilitation of existing asphalt pavement or natural soil graded as new formation upto a depth of 500mm by cold insitu stabilization technology including spreading of cement and proprietary additive(stabilizer) as per design mix quantity using containerized spreader, milling and pulverizing of road to designed depth with addition of required quantity of water using mobile and self propelled 440kw HP pulverizer equipped with integrated microprocessor regulated water spray bar, compacted the resulted pulverized mix using 20 tonne pad foot roller to achieve desired proctor density, profiling to the required grade and level using grader, rolling to required compaction using vibratory roller followed by pneumatic roller, curing by spreading water for 24 hours etc. so as to achieve required density and CBR value and alife of minimum 15 years for the subgrade.

5.1.a:Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion ( SS) on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70 - 1.0 kg/sqm using mechanical means.

5.2.a:Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion( RS) using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.20 - 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface cleaned with mechanical broom.

7.3:Providing and laying paving fabric with physical requirements as per table 704-16 over a tack coat of paving grade Bitume VG-30, laid at the rate of 1 kg per sqm over thoroughly cleaned and repaired surface to provide a water-resistant membrane and crack retarding layer. Paving fabric to be free of wrinkling and folding and to be laid before cooling of tack coat, brooming and rolling of the surface with a pneumatic roller to maximize paving fabric contact with the pavement surface

5.6.2.a:Providing and laying bituminous concrete with 80-100 TPH hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with a bituminous binder( NRMB) @ 5.4 percent of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level, and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MORTH specification clause No. 507 complete in all respects For Grading - II (13.2 mm Nominal Size)

3.19.2:Loosening, leveling and Compacting original ground supporting embankment to facilitate placement of first layer of embankment, scarified to a depth of 150 mm, mixed with water at OMC and then compacted by rolling so as to achieve minimum dry density as given in Table 300-2 for embankment construction.

4.1.B.1:Construction of granular sub-base by providing graded material, spreading in uniform layers with a motor grader on a prepared surface, mixing by mix in-place method with rotavator at OMC, and compacting with a vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per clause 401. The finished surface to be level, uniform, and free from streaks and holes.

8.35:Providing and fixing reflective road studs (Raised Pavement Marker) of ' category A' made out of ASA/HIPS/ABS moulded body with shanks and conforming to ASTM D 4280, strong enough to support a load of more than 13.635 T when tested in accordance with ASTM D 4280, reflective panel confirming to ASTM D 788, and reflectivity conforming to clause 804.4. including installation, drilling, fixing with adhesive etc. with 2 years warranty for the road stud as well as for in field performance as per clause 804.7.3 Road Markers/Road Stud with Lense Reflector :-

The activity shall be carried out as per below: a) Spreading of cement of required quantity as per design mix on truck mounted containerized spreader with a working width of 2.4 mts. with integrated cellular wheels with a microprocessor weight control system. b) Spreading of proprietary additive as a binder of required quantity as per design mix on truck-mounted containerized spreader with working width of 2.4 mts. with integrated cellular wheels with microprocessor weight control system. c) Milling & pulverizing of existing asphalt pavement to the desired depth and with simultaneous addition of water with machine integrated spray bars fitted on the wheeled recycling equipment and to be carried out by mobile and self-propelled stabilizer equipment of working width of 2.4 mts. and with engine horse power of 440kw.The equipment shall be equipped with integrated microprocessor regulated water spray Bar. d) Profiling the resultant stabilized mix to the required grade, level and thickness using grader and the mix should be compacted using 20 tonne pad foot roller to achieve desired proctor density complete in all respects.

5.1.a:Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion ( SS) on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70 - 1.0 kg/sqm using mechanical means.

5.2.a:Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion( RS) using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.20 - 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface cleaned with mechanical broom.

The activity shall be carried out as per below: a) Spreading of cement of required quantity as per design mix on truck mounted containerized spreader with a working width of 2.4 mts. with integrated cellular wheels with a microprocessor weight control system. b) Spreading of proprietary additive as a binder of required quantity as per design mix on truck-mounted containerized spreader with working width of 2.4 mts. with integrated cellular wheels with microprocessor weight control system. c) Milling & pulverizing of existing asphalt pavement to the desired depth and with simultaneous addition of water with machine integrated spray bars fitted on the wheeled recycling equipment and to be carried out by mobile and self-propelled stabilizer equipment of working width of 2.4 mts. and with engine horse power of 440kw.The equipment shall be equipped with integrated microprocessor regulated water spray Bar. d) Profiling the resultant stabilized mix to the required grade, level and thickness using grader and the mix should be compacted using 20 tonne pad foot roller to achieve desired proctor density complete in all respects.

5.2.a:Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion( RS) using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.20 - 0.30 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface cleaned with mechanical broom.

7.3:Providing and laying paving fabric with physical requirements as per table 704-16 over a tack coat of paving grade Bitume VG-30, laid at the rate of 1 kg per sqm over thoroughly cleaned and repaired surface to provide a water-resistant membrane and crack retarding layer.
