M & L for preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with using air blower to remove all loose dirt etc complete and application of Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) for air field pavement for micro surfacing with PME fullfilling IRC : SP 100 : 2014 all parameters and mopping of total cold liquid PME as per site requirement and mixed with water and mineral filler as recommended by manufacturer of PME and ensure uniform finish of runway complete all as manufacturer instructions and all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge / GE. Make :- M/s Ooms Polymer Modified Bitumen Pvt Ltd or equivalent approved make.
NOTE :- (i) The tenderer shall take into consideration for the following points while quoting his rate for item No 1 :- (a) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator of the manufacturer only. (b) Care shall be taken to fill wider gaps / cracks with 0.6 mm to 2.36 mm size coarse sand as per manufacturer's instructions. (c) A performance guarantee certificate shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of the work as specified. (d) For lesser width manual application can be allowed. (e) As per above mentioned policy , rates are considered for use of undiluted Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) of 1.0 ltr per 1.0 sqm in two coats. However price adjutsment will be made as per actual consumption based on trial patch approved. NOTE :- (ii) Friction test and sand patch test as per manufacturers instructions to be carried out satisfied level.
