Dismantling of gearbox by removing both end couplings and extracting the complete shaft assembly from the barrage gates. This includes removal of thrust and steel blocks using skilled labour and specialized lifting equipment. The gearbox top cover (top half) shall be removed, followed by detachment of the bottom half from the main gearbox body. All internal components parts gear, changer gear assembly, bearing, limit shift assembly and shaft shall be carefully removed in sequence, ensuring proper identification and documentation of their orientation and order for accurate reassembly.

Thorough cleaning of all components to remove debris, contaminants, and residual lubricants using appropriate cleaning agents and methods. Detailed inspection of each component to assess condition, identify wear, damage, or corrosion, and document findings for further repair or replacement as required.

Repair of limit switch assembly of gear box including the complete overhauling /oiling and greasing including replacement of parts as per sample .

Replacement of Normally Open (NO) switch and contactor with a relay, along with the complete installation of electrical components for the gear box in the hoisting mechanism of the barrage system

Replacement of brake pad as per sample along with complete fitting and integration in the gearbox assembly

Replacement of brake coil as per sample along with complete fitting and integration in the gearbox assembly

Replacement of bearing No 6315/C4 Djb approved makes

Replacement of bearing No 6312m/C3 Djb approved makes

Replacement bearing No 6308 2RS1 Djb approved makes

Replacement bearing No 6310 2RS1 Djb approved makes

Complete assembly of the gearbox, including packing, greasing, and installation of both end shafts with Cast Iron (C.I.) couplings and bolts. Ensure proper alignment and secure fastening to maintain efficient power transmission and operational reliability

Complete overhauling and lubrication of all moving and critical components of the Drum box assembly of the gearbox, using appropriate tools such as grease guns and nipples. The work shall be carried out by skilled labor as per site requirements. Ensure proper lubrication with the specified grade and viscosity of grease to maintain optimal performance and prevent wear and tear of mechanical parts including internal parts of painting

The work involves achieving precise/making alignment of the shaft connecting the drum box and gear box in the hoisting mechanism of the barrage. Proper alignment is critical to prevent deviation from the guide grooves during operation—particularly during lifting—and to ensure long-term stability and accuracy of sluice gate movement.The job includes dismantling the existing shaft (which transmits motion between the drum box and gear box), carrying out realignment, and reinstalling the shaft with high precision. To restore the system to optimal operating condition, the work shall also involve the replacement of associated hardware components as required—such as bearings, couplings, keys, and fasteners.This intervention is essential for the reliable and efficient functioning of the sluice gate lifting system and to prevent operational issues during gate actuation.

After cleaning and overhauling the gear and shaft of the gearbox, refit and them in their original positions with making alignment with all movement parts of gear box and ensure that they are functioning properly.

Conduct load testing of 3under sluice and 3weir side gates and weir side gates during opening and closing operations, using stop logs to isolate pond water and ensure a free flow channel to the gates. The activity shall be carried out with the assistance of skilled labor and professional divers. Post-testing, ensure that there is no obstruction or difficulty in the smooth lifting (operation) of the gates
